I have my latest baseband from last stock upgrade.
But when I flash this ROM lost my carrier signal.
Restore my backup ROM CM11. Still no signal, had to flash ANE2 baseband twice, didn't work.
So turn off phone, change simcard (other company), nothing. Turn off phone put original simcard, nothing.
Restart the phone twice, and it worked, weird.
This is very strange, i install my ROM 5 times now, and no WiFi bug, maybe its kernel, maybe not, i will try more 3x

I did try with reboot twice and also a few stock/custom kernel but didnt work.

Try this:
Due to "securestorage" being set to true in build.prop, changes to the ROM or kernel that aren't reflected in the ss_id file in /system/etc/secure_storage/.system.bin.wpa_supplicant/ can cause issues with WiFi among other things. You can set this to false yourself, or simply flash the zip file below.
Download: Set Secure Storage to False
For those that prefer to do it manually, simply change this line ro.securestorage.support=true to false in /system/build.prop.

The Knox counter is tripped during the root process. This is a ton replacement with all the Knox reference removed.

Works perfect but my battery reporting is all over the place. I went from 100 to 68 in 20 minutes and it said 89 after a reboot. Its been 2 days. Im hoping a few more charging cycles fixes it. Strange problem I have never had with any device or roms before

What am i looking for? well basically the most stable STOCK without withtout bloadware or at least with minimum blot apps in the ROM . Im not interested in any custom roms cause i tried to install one of the ''best custom''roms here and my phone was acting really strange im talking about AD 1.7.15 : P is there anything that works with 4.3 without problems? Ok i might give a try for another custom but ONLY for the one that not gonna have problems with waking up,not gonna turn off in the middle of day without even saying good night and icons wont dissapear from the screen .If theres anyone who might lend me a hand with verry clean stock rom id appreciate :*

Ive got problems with waking up my phone soemtimes i just can't do it only removing battery helps.... i got new clean stock 4.3 after custom romany ideas what could cause that problem? It didnt happen before taht problem occured right after installing custom rom and still happens after comming back to stock rom
The early 4.3 firmwares had slow wake up issues, but only a delay not a failure to wake at all. The latest firmwares are better but still take a second or two to respond, but much better battery life in standby as a result.
If your phone is crashing in standby then try a full wipe, format internal sd card then fresh stock firmware (latest GNA8). Test before you install or restore anything, try without external sd card fitted. Check the log after a crash to see what the cause was.

my problem occured after installing custom rom before that everything was ok my phone didnt sudenly turn off or had problems with waking up now i need to take battery off to make it run :/ could you give me a link to the latest (non branded) stock rom for 4.3? and do i have to install it trough ODIN? or root my phone cause atm it's unrooted and what about that wipe? do i have to do it in recovery mode? The sticky thread in general forum explains it step by step, returning to stock with Odin. Download the latest firmware for your country at sammobile.com, you don't need root. Wipe with factory reset in phone settings, accounts. After flashing boot into recovery and factory reset again.

I was once like you, wanting to find the most light weight firmware, but that was habit after previously having a Galaxy 3. (128mb of ram, 40-80mb app space, low spec'd).
Instead I'd just go for a well optimized rom for the S3, say it was compiled with O3 and the kernel was well tweaked. Flash the gapps micro, disable unwanted start-up programs and remove any further system software.
I'd use a 4.4 CM based rom, download the testing branch of the Boeffla kernel for CM11, Odexed gapps micro, enable Art in developer options, do the start-up stuff and apply any kernel tweaks you like. I'm using Resurrection Remix as it has a lot of features (missing a lot I'd like), generally faster than the other rom I usually use (Archi) and has pretty good battery in comparison.
Only you can decide which ROM works best for you. Each thread will have all of the information you will need to make a decision.

A FULL wipe is required if you are coming from ANY rom. I advise a full wipe anytime you flash

2. Make a backup of your current rom
3.Full Wipe (system,cache,dalvik,data)
4. Flash
5. Boot time can be up to 10 minutes...............

You need to be on OB1 firmware. The OB1 stock kernel will cause older firmwares to BL
This ROM sounds like it's right up my alley, so thanks for posting it! I think I'll try flashing this 1, and I have a few questions.
1. Is KNOX removed completely?
2. Does it have the tether MOD of 1TB? If not, is there a way that I can flash it myself?
3. Can I flash Viper4Android or will I have to use another kernel? If I need another kernel, which do you recommend?
So I have to update to stock ob1 via Odin and root it and then flash this rom???

great rom, just one tiny problem... everytime i do a nandroid backup and i flash it back... when the phone reboots and starts it gives me lots of app crashes making the rom unusable, so i have to reflash back completely with wipes and all... any idea if the rom is faulty or perhaps the version of twrp im using?

Thats recovery related man.......I use the newest TWRP with zero issues
JuMBO Alpha v1.0 - G850SKL
This ROM is for the Korean variant of Galaxy Alpha. This is basic ROM build on base of a the latest G850F stock firmware which will give a smooth stock feel for the heavily bloated Korean device users.

Even though you list the SM-G850F under supported devices, I don't believe it is. I tried a clean install and upon rebooting, TWRP prompts to install SU. I've tried installing SU and not installing and the same result. Just hangs on the Samsung logo. Just wanted to mention just in case anyone else with the 850F tries.

Seems there is a problem with the partition size.
I'm working on windows, so when I dump the system.img it gives a image with the full size of the partition.
G850F support removed.

Problem with sound received from calls... Sound received during calls is distorted whether from earpiece or loudspeaker. Tried to flash original LL rom and EpsilROM 3.9.2 and problem disappears. Looks like a ROM-specific issue.

Hey, I have the same issue. No data at all on Nougat (Kenzo).
I was on MIUI 8.1.1.0 I think.
I officially unlocked bootloader, then fastboot twrp, then flash Nougat and gapps. I tryed some kernels but no luck .... Same for roms RR, Slim, CM14.1 ...
Second try, i wiped all, flashed firmware from TheStrix, Slim rom, superSu ans Gapps. Still not working.
Any Idea ? Do we need to flash MIUI 6.x before going on Nougat ?

Check your APN once. If needed create new
Same problem here. Can't enable the mobile data. Already tried do delete and add new APN and still the same. I only get mobile data in cm13 or 7.1.0. If I flash 7.1.1, mobile data doesn't work.
Well, I did a backup and a full wipe. Then I flashed the beta of this rom (the V3 follow the dl link and it will show up) https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-3/development/rom-citrus-caf-t3490675 then gapps and BOOUMM lte is working on 7.1.1
I was pretty happy with Slim Rom. I will try to flash it some time just to see if anything change.
I think it's something in CM14.1 based roms for some of us that goes wrong. If someone can point me in the right direction to look, I can try to "debug" this problem.

Did you tried another 7.1.1 after that one? Just to know if after that one, LTE starts working on the others.
Edit: that ROM it's 7.0. My problem it's when I flash 7.1.1 ROMs. 7.1.0 or lower it's fine

I saw that they already have a 7.1.1. But I have another problem... My fingerprint sensor it's goodix, and it's not working in their(caf) rom. Even with patches that works on cm based roms.
It's not CM based. And I think this is our problem, all CM based roms have no data for us.
So I think they did something different in CAF.
I justed dirty flashed SlimRom 20170101 and just bugs.
I wiped Dalvik, cache, system and reflashed it and just bugs.

I think it has to be a cm 7.1.1 related problem. It's fine in 7.1.0 or lower. I tried more than 3 different cm based 7.1.1 roms, and none worked.
Hello everyone. I don't know if anyone has found the solution to this, but I have the same problem. When I was at MIUI, everything worked fine, but in all nougat roms I have this situation. Data only works when I switch to 3g and I don't know how fix it. Someone?
