Hey guys, i've tryed every sim unlock method i've seen, i also bought codes to unlock it, but none of them worked! I am running on android 4.4.4 , the phone is also rooted( I did it because i thought it would help to sim unlock it) Is there any way to unlock this phone for free? Im on o2 contract so i cant do **** :/

Sadly, there isnt a free way of doing sim unlocks for this certain phone (again, sadly), the only thing you could do is wait for a 2-year contract to expire to get it unlocked by them OR buy an unlock code from a popular simunlock site (be aware - there are many sites that scam) :/

Hi all,
I have purchased a samsung galaxy vibrant from a USA seller and I live in the UK. The phone will come with no sim. I want to be able to use it in the UK on the vodafone network.
Can anyone advise me please on how best to deal with this situation - I am android challenged so please be gentle. I have done some searches but didnt see any answer to this specific type question.
I am not sure if T-Mobile Samsung is sim locked but am assuming it is but maybe you guys n gals may be able to advise me more on this.

If its from a tmobile store it will be locked. Expansys and other online retailers are selling them unlocked meaning they're prob unlocking them prior. You would need the code. The codes are also stored on the phone in the nv_data.bin but you need root to access it that way. There's a market app to get the unlock code but that prob won't help you. Best way would be to root, copy the nv_data.bin to your pc and use the windows utility to get the code. Then the phone will prompt for the code with your sim inserted. Hopefully they already unlocked it. Search the forum for the unlock procedures, they are well documented.
Thanks for the reply I really appreciate your help on this. Person I bought it from has just contacted me to say that they got it from T-mobile themselves in a 2-1 promotion.
They said "I bought the phone from Tmobile without a sim card. The associate told me that you can unlock this one with an unlock code".
Sorry for such a noob question ... When I get the phone will it be able to be root the phone with no T-mobile phone sim card in it? Can it be rooted with any sim card or no sim card?

You will still have to run a app to unlock the phone or one to get to code.
I suggest this one it works on more phones then the code ones and since it doesn't give codes so you can't type them wrong.

Hey guys is there a possibility to Sim unlock my Galaxy Alpha, it is locked for 3At Hutchinson. I already ordered a Sim Unlock code, and it worked fine for a month. After a month the device get spontaneous got locked again, without doing a update or installing a rom on it. Can somebody help me.
