quick car charger 2.0 - Xperia Z3 Accessories

I just bought iVoler car charger to try it because the price was low and the reviews said it was quality made. I Just received this the other day, and I plugged in my Z3 and it said Z3 detected, so it indeed does support the Qualcomm Quick Charging feature! Charging was fast and held strong with my Z3.Charging the battery from 0 to 50% in about 30 minutes. And the 6 foot USB cable is of good quality and really nice. It also fits into my Z3 with a nice click, and fits well around my case. I will definitely buy more of these!
The great product need to be shared.

I use the Powermod car charger, works great.
The best thing about QC2.0 chargers is that long cables (like 6-footers) cause far fewer problems with 9V QC2.0 chargers than 5V chargers.

I think it's about the same amount of time as the Oppo N1 lasted, same for the Find5.
I'd sometimes muck with other devices, but Find5 was my primary until N1, N1 was my primary (with a brief stint on Z3) until Find7, Find7 was my primary until Z3.
The Z3 IS indeed the absolute longest I've ever lasted without rooting or unlocking though.

I got the one Verizon sells (red connector with flash light). I love it, charges just as fast as the wall Turbo charger. I picked it because I get 25% off accessories. The tech you are looking for is QuickCharge 2.0

Well a couple of days ago I was on my way home from work and I was at around 30% on my Nexus. Out of curiosity I plugged the phone into a 2A Anker charger (which worked really well with my M8... 1%/min) and it said it would be fully charged in about 2 hours. I then plugged the phone into the PowerMod Quick Charge charger and it said it would be fully charged in about 50 something minutes. So I would say pretty well! My phone was fully charged by the time I got home (my commute is about an hour 15 minutes).

I have the Incipio QC 2.0 car charger, it works as intended for QC 2.0. I had the PowerMod one, but it was a little loose in my car outlet so it would lose power sometimes if you bumped it accidentally. There's another OP about car chargers which I meant to post pictures of my charger in. The nice part about the Incipio is it has a USB port so you can use your own cable. I tried the VZW which was nice, but I don't like chargers where I can't replace the cable if/when it wears out. The VZW one is also 35$ compared to $21 for the Incipio on Amazon with Prime shipping (thats what I paid for it) and you get a nice coiled cable for a good deal on there and still have money left over compared to the VZW one.
I originally had the Incipio car charger, but I had to return it because it didn't work in my car's charging port, for some reason (it worked in another car, so not sure). Also, The Incipio one was too large, as I'm used to slim car chargers that barely stick out. And while it's not a big deal, the Incipio one didn't come with a microUSB cable.
After a bit of searching, I found the Ventev Dashport Q1200. It's a little hard to find right now, but here's a listing on Amazon. From what I could see, this one was the only QC 2.0 compatible car charger that was also slim. It also came with a flat ribbon-style microUSB cable.

All official legit Quick Charge 2.0 chargers do 12/9/5volts. As long as it's listed on Qualcomm's website, it offers the best charging.
Bottom of page, Incipio is listed.

I rarely use included cables. I have extended cables that i route around the dash and a-pillar for a cleaner look. and the cost is comparable to other QuickCharge 2.0 car chargers.

They are all great alternatives and don't look to be quite so blockish as the motorola one is
I got this since I also wanted to get a car charger...$25 for the pair, multiple ports.

I'm a firm believer in Anker products. I now buy only Anker chargers and cables. They have Smart IQ, which automatically adjusts amperage based on what the device can accept, so you will always get the max charge. They always get close to 5 stars on Amazon. Actually, they are the highest rated chargers you can get.

If you want to use quick charger that's fine with me. My anker charger is pretty quick as is. I've heard that quick charging may eventually hurt battery life in the long run, so I choose not to use it. I don't need quick charge because I don't even use my phone a whole lot to begin with and rarely go below 60%. Plus, I have a charger handy wherever I am. (car/work/home/portable charger)
I have the Qualcomm one off of Amazon and I honestly believe that it charges quicker.

ZeroLemon® 18W USB Wall Charger with Qualcomm® Quick Charge 2.0 Technology Review

I did receive this charger from ZeroLemon in return for writing this review.
I received this charger and the first thing I thought was "wow, what a well built charger". The USB cable is really heavy duty and the wall plug feels really solid. I think the detachable prongs is a nice touch, allowing you to change them out for the European ones when traveling. The charger works just as well as the one from Motorola that came with my Nexus 6.
After using for a while, my only gripe is that the included USB cable is a little short. I have a hard time plugging my phone at my desk because of the range restriction. For the price though, that is a small complaint and overall, I'm thrilled with this charger. It's built to last and just works. What more could you want from a charger?
I gave this 5 stars on Amazon.

I like the charger I got too! Speaking of the detachable prongs, I didn't get any extras, did you; or have you found where to get them?
They gave you it to use and review for them and for the review on amazon. You will get an email soon where they ask you the specific feedback they are looking for and a link to your Amazon review.
I dont want to clutter up the forums with more of the same reviews so im going to piggy back off of your review. Here are my PROS and CONS for the charger.
Pros:
-Thick cable
-Charges fast
Cons:
-No charge indicator on the brick
-Short cable
- A little on the large side
All in all I like the charger. Not having a charging indicator isnt a bad thing, since there is not a light glowing in the room at night. At the same time I like the visual confirmaiton that things are working sometimes, especially when you have a wallet style case, its just annoying haveing to openthe case every time you plug it in to make sure everything is good. I actually purchased a second one after having this charger for a few weeks becuase it simply worked. I have gotten a few of the off brand QC chargers in the past and they mostly have been crap. Just remember to hit up monoprice for a longer thick cable after buying the charger, unless you hae an outlet on your desk at.
Just got my review unit in. Can't wait to give it a go with its first charge! It's sucks though because I'm in the middle of testing some kernel tweaks for battery life... Blah. I'll be able to find out how it performs tonight. :3
So... Mine burned. I assume it's because my roommates used it today on phones not made for turbo charging and caused some feedback to a voltage regulator. Despite my warnings to not use it, they didn't listen and I'm pissed...
you can use it on any phone, it just won't deliver the higher wattage if the phone can't handle it

causation is not correlation
Strangely it seems all the ZeroLemon request for reviewers threads are 404 now...
They kept emailing me asking me to review their product, when I had made a review on Amazon weeks ago. I kindly asked them to stop, and they finally did as of recently. Maybe it coincides with the 404'd pages now?
Anyone selling theirs, mine got stolen.. lol I'll buy it LMK

Charging?

Got the new K1 tab, obviously without a charger (thought mine would be good enough).

Lol yeah.. There's an app called ampere that'll measure the actual charge rate. I don't know how accurate it is, but I did notice significant differences.. My bluetooth headset charger shoes as 150mah, and the Nvidia one shows 1900mah. My htc charger showed 1200. So there were differences even if not exact, they represent the higher rates of the advertised amps.

I've had my Shield K1 tablet for about a week now. Been charging with my S6 charger but wasn't charging properly, never got to 100%, it froze at 97% saying 4 minutes left to charge.. Just bought an Aukey Quick Charge 2.0 42W 3 Port wall charger and its been on charge for about 8 hours and it seems to be charging extremely slowly. I checked it a couple hours ago and it was on 60% now its only at 70%. Not good.
I am using an adaptive voltage wall charger 3-30V with my Shield 2017 USB cord. I am testing it currently, but ampere stats thus far are:
Min:1440mah
MAX:1640mah
over 20 minutes I'm working on developing a kernel but the k1 is a hell of a source considering I'm used to qualcomm. I'll keep ya posted. I'll also try quick charge 2.0 and 3.0 however Nvidia seems to restrict their temperature rather than the voltage? Any help with their stock source kernel would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

just how real are rumors about non-samsung charging adapters and cables?

Hey guys,
Can you tell me just how true are rumors that if you use non-origigi adapter for charging that it will mess up your battery or something worse?
Since i use all kind of different cables/adapters and never had the problem, but now i have s7 and i dont wanna mess it up..?
Thx
well before the s7 i had the s6 and i have to be honest it did some weird stuff, battery drained super fast over night ( arround 30%) capacitive buttons showed strange behavior ( pressing the button by itself) i disabled them and used Pie control for a while. This was with all kind of cable's/chargers.
Started using original charger and cable and the battery drain turned back to normal after a while and when i turned the capacitive buttons on again and stay worked again!
I'm not 100% sure this is because of the charger or cable but i guess they do make a difference
(sorry for my probaly not grammatically correct english ^^)
Edit: i also think other quality chargers are ok
I would imagine as long as they are quality chargers/cables you'll be fine, im using a blackberry charger along with samsung one and everything works fine.
You can usually tell is the usb cable is cheap when it can't fast charge the phone, they're also pretty thin.
Just don't use the cheap Chinese **** 5 pack for $2 from eBay and you should be fine.
Sent from my Samsung SM-G930T using XDA Labs
Charged my S5 with my PC for almost 2 years
Charged my S7 with my MiniPC many times
Obviously cheap crappy dangerous chargers will not be good, but these rumours came from people who couldn't accept that Samsung messed up, didn't want to blame the phones/batteries, so blamed the owners instead
You have more chance of the charger failing than the battery if the charger is faulty/cheap, unless of course it is pushing too much juice into the phone, but I would hazard a guess the charging circuit would fail before it managed to set a battery on fire
Just find a cheap brand that's quality and stick with it. Anker Aukey CableMatters Mediabridge all seem good though the usb connector alwasy seems to get looser and looser. I've almost completely moved over to Qi because of it.
Get a cable and charger from a decent brand name company, and make sure that it's properly rated to the phone model you have. Any time you're using an overpowered or underpowered charging source it can have a negative effect on the battery.
I have a big 4 port Aukey charger that has Ai and QC2.0 ports on it. It is great! I use the cable that came with That charger and I travel with the samsung charger and cable.
Thx for replies.. i ordered a pack of 5 cables from Anker and they are great.

Exactly. Get a quality 2A charger and a decent 20 or 22awg USB cable and you're good.
Buy that 49 cent 1 micrometer thick cable off eBay and you'll be hatin life.
While we're on the subject, there's apps that let you measure incoming charge current. I measured every cable I had in the house, one right after the other using the same power brick. Two of them wouldn't allow more than ~330mA charge current. Most others were 1.1A. Those two went right in the garbage.
In japan s7 do not come with charger so you can use any cable or charger
