Can't wait to download and try it.

Yes, you can use twrp if you prefer. And It's 100% stock including bloatware.

Any methods to remove bloatware ATM?

The ROM link is now live.

Nice! That didn't take long. Downloading now and about to flash this. Thank you muniz_ri!

Yeah it booted up I am going through setup. There was some weirdness at first after the verizon screen it went to a black screen and took a little bit for the setup to pop up but it did.

http://downloadandroidrom.com/file/GalaxyS4/loki/loki-doki.zip
That error message does sound like the one that comes up if you flash w/out loki.
Maybe grab a Lollipop GS4 i9505 customized TW kernel from that area and flash it and loki it and see if that works?
Ahhh...znel52 beat me to it.

[4.4.2] FoxHound Ground Zeroes v1.0 VZW SS NC2/NC5 - THE ROM U DREAMT ABOUT LASTNITE

FoxHound Ground Zeroes v1.0 for Verizon S4 - NCx (NC2 / NC5 +) based off of Foxhound 4.7 International
HELLO FELLOW ROM LOVERS,
Here is another present from me... I present to you the first NC2 / NC5 Custom Rom built on and for the new Verizon 4.4.2 updates. This was tested on both but primarily NC2 and my upgrading methods were used and worked the best.
Kids dont flash ROMs without your parents consent. People don't hold the handicapped dude hostage if this messes up your phone. ITs been tested up and down but some ppl got bad luck... so don't hold me or XDA or anyone that flashes or developers or Verizon responsible for anything bad that happens to your phone from here out.... ok u can try to hold verizon its kinda their fault anyway.
LINK TO ORIGINAL ROM THREAD (Screenshots and descriptions for now until I have time to update this OP)
How to Install:
0. If you have 4.4.2 and Safestrap already installed just flash the ROM and SuperSu and RESET BAM YOUR DONE. Otherwise Follow bellow guide!!!
1. Download the ROM along with these files: SuperSu1.94, gogOdin3.10(the newest Odin brought to u by mua 1st, QuickUpgrade NC2 Safestrap (or other custom recovery) flashable file, NC2 WiFi Fix (only flash if broken wifi in ROM),NC2 Boot.img Only.tar Odin Flashable and pickup and install Safestrap 3.72 found in AT&T S4 thread.
2. Install your version of the ROM in Safestrap 3.72 under the Stock slot. This is a dirty Flash (no wipe) so you may need to wipe the System 1st. After installing the ROM flash the NC2 QuickUpgrade then the NC2 WiFi Fix the SuperSu194 zip then (you can link the installs together so SS flashes all 4 at once.) Now instead of normal resetting go to "Reboot" under main menu of Safestrap. Choose Download Mode (or just restart and hold Vol-Down) when your into Download mode plug phone into the Computer and load up Odin 3.10 and insert the NC2 Boot img.tar into the AP slot and press Start.
3. Phone will restart, give it a minute or two if you don't hear music its not working perfectly. In this situation you'll need to download: NC2 Hlos/Modem and this NC2 Full Upgrade no Bootloaders.tar (both are flashable only in Odin 3.10) now restart phone to download mode again and flash these with the Full Upgrade in the AP slot and the hlos in the CP and press start. Phone will start once before entering Recovery automatically, don't panic completely normal its flashing the cache update now... Phone will restart automatically and now if you don't see the bootanimation or hear music you either need to start completely over. Sorry about the music if its not your personal preference I've got a tool that will easily modify bootanimations and music (along with a lot more) in the next week or so. Just putting on finishing touches to final version 1.0. I've probably flashed 30 ROMS this way and still have my KNOX intact and the same bootloaders I started with. So no worries about voiding warranty by triggering KNOX cause U WONT if DONE RIGHT!!!
4. Vote 5 Stars, Donate, Thank in person or give a +1 if you enjoy the ROM!!!
5. FLASH EITHER THE KEYGUARD REMOVAL.ZIP IN SAFESTRAP OR THE KEYGUARD FIX.ZIP PLEASE! NEW VERSION WILL COME +1s pleas continue to post bugs or issues.
Thanks,
gogolie / gigilie
v1
PS This ROM has my added Theme's pack that ill be releasing shortly to change the theme from settings on home Launcher3 choose Themes and wala.... something like 10 at least to choose from. I know right, your welcome
As a precautionary measure after installing thru safestrap or custom recovery before restarting the ROM flash SuperSu and then go into your system / priv-app / directory and find the file KeyGuard.apk and delete it... i'll be releasing an updated version soon
this is for my...........................

I need more info than that bro. was it a clean install (wiped/formated first?) and was it on safestrap or mdk? sounds like possibly u had a rom underneath this install but i dont know as i havent heard from any other users. it works fine for me tho... keyguard was one of the first things i had to replace with the verizon one in order to port it.... no worries tho i can do a patch if thats an issue
I did a clean install, wiped everything except SD and installed everything just like you said using safestrap 3.72.(i wiped data but did not format data) It boots up good but Gives the keyguard FC persistently..

ok for the time being until i get a fix up... easiest way to quick patch yourself would be restart to safestrap then enter advanced (first make sure system is mounted under mounts) then file explorer and then /system/priv-app/ find keyguard.apk and delete it. this rom comes with its own keyguard so this wont affect the experience or ROM itself. sorry for the trouble thanks for spotting the bug sucks on my phone I had it working with my own version of S5's Particle Effect on that keyguard.... next release. u guys check out all the themes yet?
TW - Main Menu - Themes choose theme. i included a but load of new themes lemme know how they work
Dont flash to anything but stock slot. safestrap doesnt support slots on 4.4.2 yet.

make sure your flashing on a clean system.... or flash over official NC2 or NC5 rom. then upgrade using my methods. use an odin all in one pack for NC2 or NC5 (my vote is NC2 its betr)
judging by your boot symptoms i'm hoping thats what it is maybe a cache flash would fix it too.
op updated
put those keyguard fixes online one will remove it the other will remove it and install a different one.. lemme know

[ROM][ATT][4.4.4][SS] 212.44.26.ghost_att from system dump

This CWM/TWRP flashable zip is 4.4.4 from my dump of 212.44.26.ghost_att.ATT.en.US (ATT xt1058).
The stock ATT 4.4.4 kernel is within the zip and must be flashed manually.
Safestrap and root are 'baked in', but the rom is otherwise stock.
I am using the modem from 4.4.2 without issue, and I plan to create a new zip when the official sbf is available.
The instructions below are mostly for rooted, locked ATT phones using safestrap.
This zip does not alter your bootloader.
I was able to upgrade from 4.4.2 without a wipe/factory reset.
This rom installs Safestrap. (I welcome exact instructions on removing this from the rom.)
WARNING: I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU MESS UP YOUR PHONE.
Instructions for ATT locked phones:
If you can still get permanent root (pre 4.4.2 bootloader), then you can use safestrap to install this zip of ATT 4.4.4 and get root again.
Prerequisite:
Rootable Moto x (not temporary root)
Have fastboot (motorola version for this phone) and PC drivers installed and working
BACKUP ANYTHING YOU DON'T WANT TO LOSE.
Instructions:
root (thanks jcase)
install safestrap (thanks Hashcode and Team Win)
Make a nandroid and copy it off the phone!?
download zip to sdcard (motox-444-212.44.26.ghost_att-from-dump-ss.zip, link below)
extract boot.img to the fastboot directory of your PC
enter safestrap recovery (twrp) and activate the stock-slot
twrp: flash rom (motox-444-212.44.26.ghost_att-from-dump-ss.zip) to the stock-slot
twrp: reboot to bootloader (home -> reboot -> bootloader)
on pc: execute fastboot commands (below) then power on normally.
install supersu (thanks chainfire) from play store
Fastboot command to flash the kernel:
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
Fastboot command for locked phones not using MotoWPNoMo with pre 4.4 bootloaders:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery boot.img
Thanks to touchpro247 for making the raw OTA available. Also thanks to iKrYpToNiTe for his safestrap selinux metadata code.

Thanks! This seems to work fine for my unlocked Brazil XT1058 using TWRP. The only thing is now that whenever I start the phone there's a 2-3 second screen saying Safestrap disabled (I've never installed Safestrap). Is there a logo flash that will remove this?

Has anyone seen if Faux's kernel will work? I'm waiting for my phone to charge before I flash. I'll report whether or not if no one else does.
Edit: So far, it's working great on my 1053 DE with Faux's latest kernel on AT&T.

Sorry if this question is aggravating but if I flash this on my rooted XT1053 will it wipe my internal? Just trying to be sure, never flashed anything carrier specific. I flash and reboot right? Or do I also need the kernel? I read the OP but I'm wondering if I do all of that and or need safestrap.
Edit: I think I got it.
I did this update as instructed on my AT&T, locked bootloader XT1058 but I skipped the fastboot commands entirely. Installed under stock slot with root from 4.2 android and Safestrap. Went through like a charm. Still have root, had to reboot to write protect off mode and install Xposed again, but otherwise everything is as it was...except that I'm on 4.4.4 now! I didn't even lose my original bootloader (the globe one that looks so sexy) that I had to manually install after their damn PlayStore update replaced. Not sure if this will stick for others that haven't done that already. Thanks!!!

I should clarify. I had the old root from 4.2 that was on the phone when I purchased it. Updating to 4.4.4 was coming from 4.4.2 previously.

If possible, I recommend that you go ahead with the official att 4.4.4 kernel packaged within the zip (boot.img via fastboot). It is likely that this latest kernel includes important fixes. (For example, the Android OS battery issue seems fixed.)
(I skipped the modem because I don't know how to package the modem partition into a flashable image.)

I'll have to agree with you on the 4.4.4 kernal and the android is bug. I was using Faux's 4.4.3 kernal with this ROM and still had the os bug. Now, it's all gone after I manually flashed the new kernel.

You were quite right. I'm having battery issues (now) and my WiFi/Bluetooth won't turn on at all, even in safe mode. Was getting 52 hours consistently on battery, now I'm down to 36 hours tops! Phone started being 'awake' while the screen was off. I went back and flashed the boot, all good now. I'll report back on the battery issue. Thank you guys for setting me strait! :highfive:
Possible anyone knows how to disable the annoying OTA updates permanently? Remedied for now, being on 4.4.4, but I was trying to avoid 4.4.4 for now and the update notification that I couldn't kill, greenify, stop on boot, etc., is what drove me to this post. I'd love to turn these off and upgrade at my leisure in the future.
This is what I've been waiting for. Android OS is where it's supposed to be. Thank you Ctrl Freak for the upload.
OK, the pic didn't upload.

[How-To] Update to G900T_OB1-5.0 and KeepRoot w/Knox(0x0)

**You can begin the following process from any Build/ROM but you must already have Root Access**
**Required** FlashFire - Play BETA - PREVIEW
1. Join the G+ community using the same Google account as you're using for Play on your phone/tablet Here.
2. Sign up to receive the BETA versions from Play Here.
- Use the link provided after sign-up to download the app.
**Caution!** The process below is only for the G900T T-Mobile S5 Variant. Use on any other device may result in a hardbrick!
Download:
- G900T_OB1_Stock_Rooted_ROM
- G900T_OB1_Stock_DeOdexed_ROM
Set screen timeout to 10 mins before beginning!
1. Place the ROM onto your device (use either internal or ext-sdcard).
2. Open the FlashFire app and "Agree" to the Terms and Conditions.
3. Press "(+)" twice to bring up the "Actions" menu.
4. Select "Flash Zip or OTA" and locate and select the ROM. Leave "Auto-mount" unchecked under the "Options" menu and press the checkmark to continue.
5. From the main menu Uncheck all options under "EverRoot" and use default "Reboot" setting.
6. Last, press the lightning bolt then "Ok" to begin the flash .
The screen will turn black then display the contents of your system before beginning the flash. FlashFire will pause for about 1 minute while flashing the "system" partition. Once complete your device will reboot and pause on the T-Mobile splash screen for about 1 -2 minutes (10 - 15 mins for the DeOdexed version) before completely rebooting. Done!
Tip: for blazing fast speed turn off animations from Developer Options and reboot!
Known Issues:
- None!
Optional - Enable Native Tethering:
- G900T_OB1_TetherAddOn (Flash using FlashFire's "Flash Zip or OTA" option).
Notes:
1. This process will not affect your knox warranty flag.
2. The above process will update your Modem, Non-hlos, System, Kernel, Stock Recovery, and Bootloader to OB1. No need to wipe prior to flashing!
3. If you are currently unrooted and on a non-"Towelroot-able" firmware version you must first a)downgrade to G900TUVU1ANE5 using Odin(perform a factory data reset from recovery after flashing), b)root using Towelroot, then continue with the above process.
Anyone confirmed this for the G900T with pictures and all? If it works, I'll give it an update to the compilation thread.

You can but the whole point is to not use TWRP because it trips your warranty flag.
I just tried this and KNOX has not been tripped. Once my phone has completed the update I'll upload some screenshots.
EDIT:
I apologize for not providing links but I'm below the 10 post threshold.
Mods, I'm just trying to contribute but understand if you need to edit this.
Hope this is enough, if you'd like more please let me know.

Nice! Thanks for confirming!
Is there any way of flashing through Odin to go back to KitKat? Just being cautious. If this works great than thanks for all the hard work. Been waiting for this.

I just went back to KitKat today from stock G900T OTA update. I googled "downgrade galaxy s5 lollipop to kitkat" and the 1st option was a tutorial from AndroidCentral titled "TUTORIAL: Downgrade Samsung Galaxy S5 from 5.0 to 4.4 KitKat."
I successfully downgraded to 4.4.2 after 2 reboots and running "wipe data/factory reset". From there I followed the steps in OP for rooted 5.0 Lollipop.

People previously attempted this method by using the inject SuperSU option in MobileOdin. The problem is MobileOdin uses SuperSU v1.94 which is incompatible with 5.0.
Users are now instructed in the OP to untick the inject SuperSU option. Instead the ROM is pre-rooted with SuperSU v2.46.
Worked flawlessly, thanks muniz!

no, erases nothing, just like a normal OTA update,
I should say thank you to the OP, it worked for me,
only trouble I had was with Mobile Odin- had to switch to Dalvik for it to work

I actually intended to include in the instructions to check "wipe data and cache" and "wipe dalvik." But I have not seen anyone report any issues that may stem from not doing so.
Thanks muniz_ri!!!
Work great. I didn't have to wipe cache or dalvik cache.

[How-To] Update to I545_OC1 - 5.0.1 and KeepRoot

**You can begin the following process from any 4.4.x Build/ROM or higher, but you must already have Root Access. Safestrap Users must flash from "Stock" Slot Only**
**Required** FlashFire - Play BETA - PREVIEW
1. Join the G+ community using the same Google account as you're using for Play on your phone/tablet Here.
2. Sign up to receive the BETA versions from Play Here.
- Use the link provided after sign-up to download the app.
**Caution!** The following process is only for the Verizon I545 S4 Variant. Use on any other device may result in a hardbrick!
***FlashFire v19 Recommended***
Downloads:
- I545_OC1_Stock_Rooted_ROM_wNK4_BL
- I545_OC1_Stock_DeOdexed_ROMwNK4_BL
Attention! Set your screen timeout to 10 mins before beginning!
Once complete your device will reboot and pause on the Verizon splash screen for about 2 - 3 minutes (10 - 15 mins for DeOdexed version) before completely rebooting. Done!
Tip: for blazing fast speed turn off animations from Developer Options and reboot!
Known Issues:
- None!
- When reporting an issue please always include your starting firmware, FF version, and relevant details.
Optional:
- I545_OC1_TetherAddOn (Flash using FlashFire's "Flash zip or ota" option).
- I545_OC1_Batch_Debloater (Customizable)
Notes:
1. FlashFire has a bug which sometimes causes a premature reboot during the flash resulting in getting stuck on the Samsung boot screen. To avoid this press the Volume Key every few seconds during the flash. Seeing "Rebooting....." at the end of the flash usually indicates a successful flash.
2. The above process will not affect your Knox Warranty Flag.
3. The process will update your Modem, Non-hlos, System, Kernel, and Stock Recovery to OC1 and your Bootloader to NK4 (the NK4 bootloader allows for downgrading your firmware to NC5).
4. Safestrap will no longer function after updating to OC1.
5. If you do not already have root access (or to unbrick) flash the Full Wipe NC5 Odin .tar (Caution!: do not flash if you took the OC1 ota update), root with Towelroot, then proceed with the above process.
6. To learn more about FlashFire's capabilities on locked bootloader devices see here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=60070810&postcount=2

@dgutierrez04 - for capturing both the NK4 and OC1 ota updates.

Muniz_ri i finally got around to it. I flashed it and everything booted up fine. Right now i am running lollipop and no crashes yet. The only bug i found is the WIFI. if you depend on wifi a lot do not update it yet. it seems to be broken. but everything else seems to work. Also the playstore doesn't seem to want to download apps. but how it says FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS. if you need to read it 5 times do it. But once again nice Job Muniz_ri.
Update I figured how to fix the playstore. U need to wipe data from the playstore app for it to work. If u can't download any apps. So is back to just the wifi issue.
thanks @muniz_ri
everything works fine with me except WIFI.
is there any way to fix WIFI issue?
Update: Works great, WIFI is working now
This was a fast process but I'm also having wifi problems. It's like the phone doesn't see the antenna. Thanks for the work so far!
Worked simply and well, except for WiFi. Thanks

It's the 4.4.2 bootloader on the 5.0 system. I will see what can be done.
Let's first make certain that the ROM updated the modem/non-hlos correctly. Someone that flashed the ROM please flash the following using Odin: I545_OC1_Stock_Modem.tar.md5

The Verizon variant of the S4 has a locked bootloader... Since the bootloader is locked, no way to install custom recovery.

While this may work on your device, it will not work for this one. Verizon locks down theirs by locking their bootloaders. The international version (i9505) AFAIK does not have this problem. As stated above, you can not flash kernels on a device with a locked bootloader.
I'm new to the whole android flashing. So sorry for the noob questions.
Noob Question #1
Will this wipe my phone? If I do have to wipe it I don't mind. It's just going to be a pain to get it up and working again.
Noob Question #2
Added a picture of my About Phone. Will my phone work?
Sorry for the noob questions. But I have to start somewhere.

[ROM][G986U1]SamPWND.R3.v1 1ZTJA

Hello!
Please forgive me as it's been a long time since I made/posted a stock based ROM as I have been mainly doing security research and dealing more with source code last few years.
Most seasoned Samsung users on here probably already know me and work that I have done so I won't waste time posting any "about me" stuff.
DISCLAIMER:
This ROM is still WIP (although fully functional) and based on Android R Beta 1ZTJA for G986U/U1/W. An unlocked BL is required to flash this ROM!
Features:
- Based on Stock R Beta 3 Build aka 1ZTJA.
- This is a full ODIN flashable tar (got tired of messing with update zips.)
- Disabled vbmeta
- Pretty heavily debloated
- Deknoxed
- Removed pesky recovery-from-boot.p which could cause boot loops.
- Currently only has SPR csc mods (will mod others in next build)
*Native call recording
*App Lock (forgot to push the app though so will fix in next build)
*Few others.. will post more specifics and give creds since I used the csc mod for exynos as a basis..
- Probably forgetting something but thhis is an initial build so will add more as time goes..
Instructions:
Note: The zip contains an instructions.txt that is more detailed.
Note 2: Zip contains the full firmware tar file which includes everything to be fully updated/on ztja. This means all bl files, modem, boot, recovery, super etc. so you can start from and build. Zip also contains files and instructions on how to obtain root.
- Backup your data if you must since this will wipe device!
- Put phone in dl mode and extract zip to pc somewhere.
- Open ODIN (INCLUDED IN ZIP) and in AP slot navigate to SamPWND.R3.v1-G986U1.tar and flash it.
- Device will reboot into stock ZTJA recovery where you will wipe data and reboot.
- Set up device and win?
Root Steps (optional):
Note: Since theres no sources for R yet theres no custom recovery. Also, Q based recovery will not work on R bootloaders as well as R there is no more /sbin so root needs to be flashed at this time.
- After you have flashed rom and everything is set up reboot back into DL mode.
- Open included ODIN and in AP slot navigate to the 1BTIF_BL_Files_and_LOS_Recovery.tar. Make sure auto reboot is NOT selected. Flash it.
- Once thats flashed hold vol down and power until screen turns off then immediately hold vol up and power until LOS recovery loads.
- However you want to flash magisk (I included Magisk.v21.0.zip) flash it.
* I do adb push magisk.zip /... Then select Install Update then install from root and select magisk zip...
- Reboot back into DL mode.
- In ODIn, select AP slot then navigate to 1ZTJA_BL_Files_and_1ZTJA_Stock_Recovery.tar and flash it.
- Device will boot back into ROM and you will now be rooted!
***TWRP RECOVERY***
- Download listed below
- I suggest you follow all the steps above and make sure it's up and running before installing TWRP.
- Basically extract the .tar from the .gz archive and flash in ODIN!
- adb works
- file manager and other tools work
- If follow above steps first as recommended, data will be decrypted.
- mounts work
- flashing works
- backup/restore works
- no issues found so far?
Steps are really quite simple if you have ever used ODIN.
It took a bit to put this together since all we have are update zips so I had to do a bit of trickery as well as had to build some binaries/tools to manually patch from 1BTIF to 1ZTJ3 to 1ZTJA to be able to have all the firmware images.
I will create a Telegram ROM support group soon where you can ask all the questions you want there (I am not at liberty to discuss unlocking bootloader on XDA so questions about this on here will either be ignored or will say I cant discuss. More info as to why will be posted in the support group or you can read the imcluded instructions.txt wink.wink).
ENJOY!
Shout Outs:
@topjohnwu for Magisk of course
@jesec for LOS Recovery
@afaneh92 base TWRP
@Mentalmuso for direction on how to get TWRP to work on R!
More shout outs coming soon!

That being said, how do we get this going for the 988U1? I have root working for R on the 988U1. Although attempting to boot into stock recovery on ZTJA sends it into a boot loop still working on that.

Just flashed this last night, seems to be running beautifully, no issues so far, battery is looking good. Removed a dozen more useless apps, root is working great.
Running on a G986W with a Canadian Sim, everything seems to be working fine with my carrier (WiFi calling, LTE+...)
Thanks brother! Keep up the good work
