Screen standby not working on Verizon I545 Galaxy S4 S4 - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S 4

Every time I click turn off it using Screen Standby it reboots my phone instead if working like it should. Only thing done to my phone is Root with Towelroot and added Supersu and Titanium backup. Before root it would turn off phone correctly and come back on by shaking but when I tried to watch a movie it would only turn down brightness to 20% by default. What I am doing is hooking phone to a hdmi to html connector to hook to tv to watch a movie. Reason for this is just by hooking up to tv without using Screen Standby the screen wont turn off which causes phone to go dead and battery gets hot before movie is over. I need this app to save battery life. Any ideas? Thanks for any and all help in advance.

[q] Soft reset after 30 mins on bluetooth?

Hi
Wondering if anyone can help me with how to diagnose this issue? I use my phone a lot in the car for navigation and to listen to music / books.
When I connect via Bluetooth, after somewhere between 30 mins and an hour, the phone does a soft reset (could be the wrong term - I don't see the normal boot screens, it just goes black and then starts at the home screen again, but the phone has clearly restarted).
The only thing thats the same,e about all these resets is the Bluetooth connection - I've tried a number of apps (mort player, spotify, audible) and they all do the same.
The only other thing I can think of is that the charger I plug it into is on it's last legs
Does anyone have the same issue, or any idea how to diagnose what's going on?
Thanks
Jon

[Q] Video Player starts up when charger is plugged in!

The Video Player on my s3 starts as a running application whenever I plug in the charger, and again when I unplug the charger. By running, it slows down the time the phone takes to reach a full charge. Anybody know how to stop this behavior, without rooting?

uninstall any new apps u installed before this started happening. Also turn off page buddy. I dont think page buddy will be the cause but try it anyways.

APP? Detect movement on display (NOT camera, but movement on screen)

Hi all,
Is there any app that can be used to detect movement on what is being displayed on the screen. So not using the front or rear camera.
The use case is a wireless endoscope camera, you connect to the wireless signal and it streams the feed direct to your phone (not connected to internet, just 30m away from the transmitter box). I want to then leave my screen open and if there is any movement on the screen for it to alert me.
I understand it will drain battery having the screen on for hours but I dont mind that, its for watching wildlife.
There is no app available that will connect to my endoscope camera that also has motion detection and the only way I can think of getting this to work is having a second phone pointing at the first phone and have the motion detection on the second phone haha. If i can do it all on one phone that would be great but not sure if there is any app that will notify me of changes in the feed of an app, or change of the display.
Any ideas?
Also forgot to say the phone is rooted (Samsung S8) encase that helps with the options

Have tablet/music player; stays plugged in, is it ok to leave it on when not in use?

Hello, I purchased an android tablet/music player combo to play lullaby music while my child sleeps; it stays plugged in (2.5mm barrel type ac adapter) screen stays off; so I'm wondering if it's ok to just stop music player in morning and leave it on or is it better to shut it off and start again at night when going to use? Is it easier on the system to maintain a constant on (sleep mode) or to be shut down and then back on? It runs Lollipop.

Bluetooth disconnecting when screen shuts off

So. in particular, my galaxy watch disconnects when the screen shuts off, either by idle or manual. Im assuming this is a power save feature or what not controlling either the blue tooth itself, or sleeping the galaxy wearable app when screen is off. Is there a fix for this? I'm not seeming to find one in my meandering thru the device.
