Help Recovering Bricked Asus MeMo Pad ME170CX - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, I have a tablet sitting in front of me that I need to repair. The tablet will only boot to a screen that shows a usb logo and a white bar, which eventually changes to red. It appears that the device doesn't have a working bootloader and will only go into what seems like a download mode. Connecting the device to the computer shows "CLOVERVIEW" in device manager. Attempting button combinations doesn't provide any results. I do not know how to proceed from here. Any ideas?
This video seems like what I'd need to fix it (Intel manufacturing flash tool), although I don't exactly know how to apply this to my device.

EDIT: Fixed it and did a write-up: http://forum.xda-developers.com/memo-pad-7/general/howto-unbrick-hardbricked-memo-pad-t3105945
However, I managed to get myself stuck at the ASUS splashscreen. Does anyone know of a way to get past the splashscreen or force download mode on a MeMo pad?

[Q] Another TF201 brick, please help

Hi everyone,
I just bought a TF201 with the latest update from Asus (end of past year).
As I discovered Android 4.2 has multi user support, I wanted to install it.
So, first, I unlocked the TF201 with Asus Tool => On boot screen, I can now see a white message saying something like "The device is unlocked"
Second, I used MotoChopper to root the tablet and create superusr directories.
At this step, all was fine. I was sure that the hardest was behind me.
I downloaded ROM MANAGER (Clockworkmod) on Google Play then I clicked on something like "Recovery" which asked me to reboot. I don't remember the manipulation as I was sure nothing bad could happen from a Google Play app with a so good notation.
The table never rebooted.
I stay on the Asus&nVidia Logo boot screen.
I can't turn the tablet on. Each time I try, it reboots automatically...
I can't enter recovery menu with Volume - (nothing happens at all)
The tablet isn't recognized in Windows anymore
But... if I boot with Volume +, the tablet screen keeps black (no logos) and Windows detects it as an APX device.
So, I installed naked drivers and now, Windows see an Asus Transformer Prime APX interface.
That's all for now. I don't know what to do.
Does anyone have a clue ?

Sorry to be the one to tell you but I was in exactly the same situation as you (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2304071) and after much research it seems that unless you have backed up using NV Flash you're out of luck

[Q] ViewPad E100 - Stuck at boot screen

I was having trouble with ADB on my newly acquired ViewSonic ViewPad E100. I thought rooting it and/or installing a new OS/ROM might help.
I saw this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2021203
Where someone pointed a guy to a universal root tool:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1886460
I got the tool to run, and tried to use the #1 - New Standard Root - it got as far as to reboot the device.
Maybe I wasn't in trouble yet. But I waited for a bit and the device was still on the "ViewSonic" boot animation. I stupidly pulled the usb plug out to check out the device closer. It didn't boot. Then I restarted. I can no longer get farther than the "View Sonic" boot animation.
Okay, I know there's some special boot methods in Android, so I try a bunch of key combinations. Power+volume down doesn't seem to do anything [yet] but when I press Power+volume up, I get the android guy with a red exclamation in his belly:
http://i.stack.imgur.com/kcSE4.jpg
It's possible I see a flash of a better image, like this one:
http://www.android-hilfe.de/attachm...ery-rotes-warndreieck-2012-09-22-03.41.16.jpg
So no idea what to do. I figured it couldn't get much worse, so put a recovery "update.img" for a gtab on an SD card and then tried to reboot, with holding vol+power, just power, no luck with any combination.
Then I discovered 'nvflash'
http://raywaldo.com/2011/01/nvflash-for-dummies/
I think I'm following the steps right (for a gtab at least), but I can't get into APX mode. I can get *something* when I hold vol-down+power, I actually get my computer (Windows) to show me some internal storage of the device I guess... There's no way for me to install APX drivers, and I don't see the screen "flash" either, just sometimes I get USB storage attached.
Can I recover from this? Are there any more things I should be trying? Does anyone else out there have this device? Where else can I look for help? I just got this device this week and was hoping to use it for development!
Thanks in advance.

asus memo pad me172v stuck on no usb screen

hi all my asus memo pad keeps booting to the no usb cable connected screen i accidentally did adb reboot bootloader and now i cant get it to reboot correctly i have not tried to flash anything yet but i cant get it to boot the restore tools from the sdcard it seems hellbent on showing the usb cable screen now :/ is there a way to get it to reboot normally seems dumb that if it did not receive a flash and you power it off it would just boot normally since the os should still be intact..
hello anyone? help please
Same Problem!!! Where do we find the answer????
Tried to unlock the bootloader and the tablet turned off and then restarted with the "no usb connnection"
Searched everywhere and there is no solution posted about this.
Has anyone been able to resolve this? Send me to where you found it.
When it boots it does not read the sd card. It does not try to boot. Automatically goes to "no usb connection".
- have tried : reset button, power and volume up and down, will not boot in safe mode, no response once gets power, goes straight to "no usb connection"
Point me to where I can find the fix, this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
If i find the solution I will post here to help others.

Bricked Asus TF103C

Hi all.
I have an Asus TF103C that had been updated to lollipop that is currently (soft?) Bricked
I've been through pretty much all the threads and tried all of the fixes. Still unable to boot into android. I am unsure what step to take next. I cant apply official firmware updates via SD card nor sideload via ADB
Currently I can get it to boot up to a UEFI BIOS screen(where I can only scroll up and down via volume keys on the first page and nothing else.) or a fast boot screen showing firmware version ( 209.05 just incase its needed.) I can get it back to a droidboot screen, but I still cant flash any system img. If it's important this tablet uses an Intel Z3745.
Just a quick bump. Still only have access to the fastboot screen and recovery. I attempted flashing images again, and while it eventually goes through after breaking the image down into smaller parts, upon reboot I'm stuck at the android screen.
Open to any help what so ever.
It should also be noted that upon flashing via fastboot, after the system image goes through, I get the error " Flash Capsule Failed." And then it reboots to just the android screen.
Mine also bricked
Hi cronus2
Did you manage to solve this problems? I gather from your second post that you managed to get past uefi... I'm still stuck there: how did you do that?
Thanks to anyone who can give me some help here...

New Motherboard/Daughterboard, Have ADB, stock recovery but cant boot

I had bricked my 3rd gen HDX but was able to get a new Motherboard/Daughterboard combo off Ebay. Got them successfully installed. When i boot it shows a grey kindle fire logo for a few seconds then shows a white screen with diagnostics on it. Cant do anything but hold the power button to reboot. I do have ADB and can reboot into recovery. My windows machine sees the kindle as an MTP usb device. I dont want to proceed without proper guidance. I just want to get it working and stop messing with it. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!
