[Q] kernel patch/module

hi.. i need some advice/guide regarding this matter..
first of all, i'm planning on compiling custom kernel myself for my ace. i've succesfully compiled a kernel on my debian box using kernel sourcecode from samsung and also applied bfs patch. but now i dont want to just stop here.
the problem is i dont know where to look for those undervolt patch, smartass governor patch, interactive governor patch etc etc. gooling for "android kenel patch/module" just bring me to precompiled kernel thread, not the source patch itself. so maybe anyone can guide me the right direction? thx before

better to see the github site, lot of kernel source with many patching in there. and i think, for the much customized of samsung kernel, you can just patching, manual diffing will more better because samsung kernel is not vanillaish android kernel. much modification in there.

[Q] Porting kernel?

Hi guys, I'm doing a Cyanogenmod 12.1 porting for my device that is unsupported. I can build everything and I get a flashable zip but I'm using a prebuilt stock kernel image extracted from the stock lollipop rom. After flashing, the phone does not boot and It's impossible even to access to logcat, so I think it's a kernel related issue. My question is:
- I have the stock kernel source (v.3.10) given by the vendor
- I have the cyanogenmod kernel source (v.2.69)
Do I have to build the stock kernel or I can build the cyanogenmod one by merging the drivers modules and others stuff?
And if I flash a wrong kernel image can my device become unusable?
I read that is not fair importing built kernel modules from other kernel version, but if I merge the kernel trees, is it the same?
Sorry in advance if my question is a noob question
Well I don't know much about porting roms or kernels though. But with what I've heard flashing the wrong kernels can permanently render your phone useless..

Build kernel from source

I'm a noob in building kernels and since nobody else is trying, i'm trying to build a custom kernel from source .111 using this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/ultimate-guide-compile-android-kernel-t2871276
I'm stuck at step 5, where i'm supposed to find a defconfig file for m4 aqua(tulip) but i can't seem to find it, can anyone help?
The defconfig is msm-perf_defconfig

Wifi doesn't work with Kernel compile with source

Hi everybody, I recently downloaded the source code for the SM-G360F (I took the G360FXXU1BQF1 version) to upstream it on 3.10.108. But quickly when I test the new kernel I see that the wifi won't start even when I test with the basic kernel source.
Does anyone know how to fix the issue ?
I think it comes from this file "pronto_wlan.ko" because it's the only module which the kernel doesn't generate but I don't know how to fix.

Original Android 10 00WW_4_15C_SP01 kernel

Hello !
I need add some new features in my Nokia 7.1, but to do it I must find kernel source code. I know, that my kernel's version is aarch64 Linux 4.4.192-perf+, but I don't know where I can search it. Am I able to use kernel from Lineage from XDA or something else?
Thank you
