DSP Manager is CyanogenMod's Audio Engine pre CM12. It has superb Bass and and a great equalizer which can be configured for crisp and wonderful Audio. Loudness Compensation ensures you get loud stereo audio on both speakers and Head/Earphones. I ported this DSP Manager from CM11 and tweaked and edited some of the values found on the libs. I am certain this would bring better/louder audio than stock audio on Lollipop firmware.

Remove the DSP Manager Apk and replace the audio libs with the backups you made

Worked, with side effects
First off, thank you for the mod. It worked great.
However, it made my alarm, ringtone, and notification sounds very quiet even though they were set on max volume. Weird.
Maybe it's just me.

I think the low sound on alarm is due to those system apps still using the default "AudioFX" found on Android Lollipop. Since my mod replaces the libs in /system the "AudioFX" would bring low audio, try disabling AudioFX in apps

Package is corrupted when attempting to install zip from cwm, any one else getting this?
Sent from my GT-I9195T using xda app-developers app
You have to delete the folder inside the zip file named "New Megabass" and only keep the two folders "META-INF" and "system"! The developer by accident compressed one folder upwards...

Is viper4android best for audio. I have a kernel that supports faux sound but faux doesn't support Bluetooth which I use all the time. Any other suggestions or viper the best. My experience with stock has been terrible. Thsnks

The first thing i do is install Viper on any rom that doesnt include it . After you run througfh the install and reboot make sure to go to settings ,sound and then music effects and then choose viper as default . Best of all its free and doesnt just boost your volumes that you can just boost yourself in the mixer_path.xml.

Copy the attached apk-file to system/priv-app/, add permission to 0644 and reboot.
Works at least for this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-sp/development/cyanogenmod11s-r2-universal-t2970965
Works also for original CM11. Copy CMKeyguard.apk to correct place and remove /system/priv-apps/Keyguard.apk
It is assumed that the backup is okay if something goes wrong.
Does this modification include full view of the album art?
Texts and icons on the statusbar are not included and you can choose background-image from the theme-settings that appears blurred on the top.
Thank you bro
Worked with Cm11s
works on cm11 or only on cm11s?
(i'm on MrSteve cm11)
Follow this guide
Delete system/priv-app/keyguard.apk and move here CMkeyguard.apk or flash it

Yes, tested and confirm. Works also for CM11, if you do like that.
Works like a charm!
I am using a cm11s port on my Xperia SP. I have removed and backed up both old keyguard.apk and old cmkeyguard.apk. Copied this cmkeyguard.apk and gave the permissions. Perfectly working.
It seems that there is a little bug with eq on lockscreen. As you will see in screenshot eq start a little above from the bottom...
For some reason eq doesn't show for me, so can't test it. I'm on newest cm11...

As far as I know it shows up when I'm using an equaliser app (e.g. Viper4Android in my case). Have you enabled app in music effects under sound settings?
EQ on lockscreen
To show EQ on screen doesn't need a sound enchantment app installed! Mine is disabled or uninstalled (I don't remember.)
And not only Apollo is supported player. I see this effect almost everytime I use spotify. And I saw it when using Sony Walkman too!
Strange thing is that, that eq doesn't show all time based on file format I think (I am not sure about that). Some mp3's makes my lockscreen eq'ed some doesnt, some wav's make it some don't. It changes according to the playing file. You can test it by using spotify and the setting enabled (BROADCAST STATUS ON)
