[Q] lg g3 quick circle cover wireless.. help - G3 Accessories

hello... how is this cover? could be bad??? i live in italy and don't want buy in usa or china for long time shipment... other suggest? thanks
http://www.ebay.it/itm/Quick-Circle...LH_DefaultDomain_101&var=&hash=item27fc7faa7a

I have an LG quick circle case, and I live in Italy. Hard to say if the one in your link is OEM or aftermarket, it is cheaper, but then you take the risk. Try looking at amazon.de they are usually cheaper than Italy (saved 100 euro+ on the phone ) and shipping is not bad. I have received items quicker from Germany than from inside Italy, but not always.
Unfortunately something appears to have changed with the shipping to Italy recently, so companies I purchased from late last year no longer ship to Italy, but amazon does with no problem. I only use e-bay as a last resort, just too many problems for me over the years.

it is aftermarket(no lg branding on the front but you really can't do much wrong with the qc cover besides that some are bulky they will still work( as long as a magnet is present)

[Q] Galaxy S 2 in Hong Kong?

Anyone know if or when the Samsung Galaxy S 2 will be sold in stores in Hong Kong?
I'm going to be heading there next week and would love to pick up this beast!
The S2 will not be available until sometime in June. You could buy a UK version for about HKD$6300. But stocks are very limited.
I got mine last week and it's the Korea version S2.
order in expansys just HKD$5880
so it'll hit stores in June? I'm gonna be there till from beginning of June till end of July so hopefully I can pick one up there!
Purchased mine in Hong Kong last week from Expansys at $5880 also, no problems so far, when I spoke to them, these are actually UK Handsets they are getting shipped in from their UK warehouse but they do support full chinese symbology which is also great. They come debranded with the XEU firmware.
Is there an actual Expansys store in Hong Kong that I can purchase from? or do you have to order from them online? Thanks!

So has anyone bought a gs2 in hong kong before? Care to supply the prices you found it for? And where?

I've buy it for HKD $6180, at causeway bay (Germany version)
Was that the best price you could get it for, or like was it one of the only stores around that sold it? And when did you buy it also, cuz I'm wondering if any would have them in stock.
Just wondering do you live in hong kong? If so, you think sin tat plaza would have it for cheaper? And do you think it is reliable to buy from one of those vendors? E.g. I want to look out for buying a counterfeit/fake or a used one.
Also do vendors at sin tat plaza would buy a used phone from me?
now can buy
Might i ask where you can buy it? And say the range you'd get it for?
Would be nice if someone can recommend a shop which won't sell me a counterfeit or used one and has a good deal.

Soooooo, no one? Love it if I could get some more info.

I would not buy at Sin Tat. All those little shops look like crooks to me and that **** hole smells like smoke as sellers continue to smoke there even prohibited. It is basically to rip off the china mainlanders and women and foreigners that don't know they are paying for. Buy from a legit shop. There are plenty nowadays. As for the Galaxy S 2, they have the imported (grey market) ones now for about 6000hkd. I am personally waiting for it to arrive to CSL or 1010 carrier so I can renew my contract. If anyone else has more information on what stores they got theirs from, I would like to know too. Only place I saw is Citylink in MK.
Ah thanks, was afraid sin tat would be something like that since my cousin warned me of hk, just can't think of anywhere else to go.
Guess I'll try to check out citylink, I knew they'd all be grey marketed anyways but thanks for the info.
What's your estimate on how long it'll take from tin shui wai to mong kok from train, etc?
Kind of a stupid question, but any idea on how I may be able to tell if it's a legit shop? E.g In mong kok, are most shops legit? Or say like the shops in tourist shopping areas like causeway bay, kowloon city, etc, is it safe to say most shops there are legit?
Thanks man for the info, you've been most helpful.
Bumpity Bumpity bump. No spam intended... wait...

Hong Kong version always is better because most are factory´s unlocked
As someone else stated before, you can get it from Expansys, but technically you can get that from most other countries as well. Expansys Hong Kong ships the UK without NFC version, which works on quadband 2G/3G. Very fast.
At the moment, it isn't out in Hong Kong yet, and yes - the local smaller vendors charge an arm and a leg for a total of $6300 HKD ish from the places I went. I only found it at Sin Tat.
Not sure if the ones they sell there are UK or Korean versions, but I heard the Korean versions run under Korean networks which means it's NOT quadband 2G/3G.
TIP: Check Settings -> About Phone - make sure it's not the Korean version.
I talked to Broadway and Fortress, but no one has any lead time for the Hong Kong versions of the phone. I just ended up buying the non-NFC UK version. I'm impatient (plus the non-NFC version is thinner).
I'm not sure, but the word online is the Hong Kong SGS II is going to be running on the Tegra 2. Of course, this is unconfirmed. No real retail store will give you any details (unless you got hook ups -- in that case, give me the juicy details too).
Xian da guang chang (Sin Tat Plaza) is a total rip-off stay away, also most of the little electrical shops on the golden mile in TST.
Buy from a large retailer such as PCCW, Fortune and eXpansys, dont get halled in by the small shops offering you one for 4kHKD to find out when you leave the box is empty, there are so many scams.
Thanks so much for the replies. I was thinking of ordering from expansys hk when i get there but im wondering how the mailing system works there, and how much taxes i have to pay, especially since im a visitor.
Also is it safe/profitable to sell an old phone at hk? Or like will the vendors buy?

poetic case in europe

Hi,
please is there a way to get poetic slimcase in middle europe without those ridiculous shiping prices? I dont mind to spending around 20$ for the case, I think it's worth it, but to spend nearly the same amount for shipping seems bit odd to me.
I tried to find something on ebay, but all poetic cases are marked as "may not ship to your country..."
Or maybe is there something similar to slimcase, that is easily accesible on ebay? Or some other eshop shiping to europe?
About month ago, I ordered some cheap one from china, but it still didn't show up, so I decided to find something else instead.
Thanks for any advice
I've bought the labato case and have been using it for a few months now. It's not perfect, but definitely worth it. There is a really good review in this forum!
Had the same problem! Bought it from "aliexpress.com". Give it a try!
Got mine on amazon.co.uk
Amazon send only in UK. I also ordered one from China
Ok thank you moesus, I will give it a try.
Exactly that is the problem, I've seen hundreds of nice cases on amazon, but they don't ship to Czech Rep. The only case that is aviable here is the original sony, but the price for it is unacceptable for me.
I've just ordered poetic case via Amazon.Co.Uk and it's on its way to Czech Republic from smartstore online right now. So there should be no problem. Cost me around 20£ or so.

Amazon should supply to any country within the Union. Single market. I often buy from amazon.de from the UK.
I finally ordered from amazon as well, the case is already on its way and the shipping wasn't that bad after all thank you.

I'll sell you mine for 20 bucks plus shipping Canadian funds, barley used. I personally don't recommend using it but hey, if you want it,sure thing!
hi guys
I ordered a few weeks ago a bunch of slimline cases for the XTZ directly from poeticcases.com to Germany.
I gathered in 2 other forums (android-hilfe.de, hardwareluxx) a few people, i think we were 11 cases, and ordered centrally.
I got an overall price of 26,40€ for the slimline case in the end.
amazon.co.uk order to germany would be 27,14 pounds / 34,31€...
so my suggestion is to do a collective order...

buying it in ebay from south korea

Hey all ,
I want to buy this watch and I noticed many sells on eBay from south korea.
watch has a very good price and according to the list it should work fine in my country as far as bands.
also asked the seller if I'll get FOTA updates and he said that yeah.
so my question is , can anyone think on other reasons why I shouldn't buy it from there?
sell for example : http://www.ebay.com/itm/321576361962

On the side of pessimistic, I'm always very careful about ordering anything from overseas. Mainly cuz what if something goes wrong???
Once i ordered a fairly expensive HD IP Cam from Asia, and when it arrived it was clearly a fake. The worse case I know of, is a co-worker that ordered an Galaxy
S5 from Korea at a great price.
After a few weeks, weird things began happening.
By utilizing a few sites that specialize in spotting fakes, he would've never been able to tell that he got taken and bought a cheap clone. And the kicker of this story, the fine print in the con's listing forced ebay to rule in his favor.
So overall, try to order products from US vendors and be sure to read the description in its entirety.
Sorta like the guy that bought a picture of a gold iPhone for big $$$, cuz he didn't read (or maybe doesn't know how).
Good luck!!!

I think that for hige-end devices such as this it would be very easy to spot a fake product , for example , curved screen is not something that every manufacturer can make.
and as you said , ebay buyer protection plan can always save you.
in addition there's the whole feedback system that if you know how to work with you can figure within 2-5 minutes of investigation if the seller is reliable or not.
my main concerns are about the version of the watch , will all apps work on it etc.

Don't be so sure on the looks alone. Take a look at this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gear-s/general/gear-s-150-t3001480
First off. This model won't work in the US.
There are a lot of different versions of the GS... Each for a different segment of the world. I would do some 2G/3G/4G frequency research on the model you're buying and the provider you'll be using it with. Also, make sure it's factory unlocked... Trying to get it unlocked from another country would near impossible.

yeah , $150 for a brand new watch is of course a ripoff.
you're right , the south korean watch won't work in north america , but as you can see I'm not from US
I guess I will cancel this order though , since I found other seller from Europe who also promise to cover any customs duties if it gets stopped.

Buy it if you don't mind the trouble and long delivery time.

Where to buy?

Finally decided to go for this over the Sony Smartwatch 3 (due to the dormant speaker) and Currys/PC World are out of stock online and don't stock instore. Struggling to find any sellers (UK), not even on Amazon UK. Where have all the UK people bought theirs from?
I'm in Italy and I bought it on Amazon.de, they should ship to the UK too
Still can't find stock! Checked Amazon. De and. Es and it's been listed as Pre Order only for a few weeks now. Seems like there's a supply chain issue? Unless they are holding them back until the update with speaker support

I'm in the UK and I ordered it from https://www.alza.co.uk/trendy/asus-zenwatch-2-sparrow-wi501q-gunmetal-d3020083.htm?o=2 who are based in Europe. Obviously the charger has a euro style plug on it, however as the USB charging cable is detachable from it you can charge it off pretty much any USB charger.
It took about 5 days to arrive with the standard shipping option, but the price is actually cheaper than ordering from PC World who have been out of stock for what seems like months.
I bought it form ejoker.de but they are out of stock now (they only have the smaller one now). On Amazon is on preorder since december. I cannot find any reseller in Germany that still has stock at the normal price.
Definitely seems to be something funny going on, unless they are waiting to release the next batch with the update so they can advertise the speaker, and maybe bump the price
I bought it from Amazon.fr and a friend of mine from amazon.es.
Hopefully they'll be available soon. I was planning on ordering the $129 stainless/brown band from Amazon with some birthday gift cards, so other sources aren't an option.
I ended up placing my order thru Amazon for the rose gold with leather strap. It was in stock and I didn't want to wait to see if the silver model would be available again. Should be here Wednesday.

Where to buy from?

Let's get a list of places where this will be selling including importing.
WondaMobile expecting to ship by Oct 15th. This is with 256gb rom £759 which is slightly cheaper than UK pricing with double storage. https://www.wondamobile.com/sony-xperia-5-ii-8gb-ram-256gb-sim-free-unlocked.html
Otto (and maybe others?) offers a promotion product (Sony »WF-1000XM3 True Noise Cancelling«) additional to the mobile: https://www.otto.de/p/sony-xperia-5...2-mp-kamera-1225041412#variationId=1225041413
It is already available here in Sweden since a few days ago for ca 865€ bundled with WH1000XM3 headphones.
I am waiting for the Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro but this is tempting too. I could buy it, sell the headphones and get some of the cash back so phone will be closer to my budget but I am not sure if I wanna do that since the front camera is same as on Xperia 1 II and that one was so crappy according to user reviews so what if this one is crappy too. Also no 30w or faster charging like on Chinese brand phones.
Any other places selling the 256gb model?
Be good to know if there is any way to get hold of the elusive grey model here in the UK. Not interested in black or blue, but the overseas sites like Expansys only have black blue or pink. Grey seems to be available in Europe, but not UK - unless Vodafone get it as an exclusive colour which they normally do with Xperias.
Vodafone always last to the party adding Xperias to their site though which is annoying.

Yes, exactly. Poor front camera and also missing wireless charging / face unlock are the real issues that bugs me on such a nice phone for US$950. Still can't understand why Sony used such a bad Samsung (!) sensor on their top tier "Photo Pro" smartphone. That's ridiculous!

I don't think so unfortunately.
I think all Sony deals are country specific.
Belsimpel had a 300€ cashback offer on Xperia 1 II so could get the phone for ca 735€ after cashback but only if you have a NL address.
Same with this offer, you need Swedish address.
I preordered the Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro for 650€. They are giving away Xiaomi Mi Essential Electric Scooter worth ca 300€ for free if you pre order before 21st October.
For me that's a better deal since I don't need headphones and I find the scooter more useful.

For any US buyers I highly suggest getting it from WondaMobile. I ordered mine last Wednesday 10/21/20 and selected free shipping. It was listed as 9-12 business days, but I just got it yesterday 10/26/20. Even shipping from Hong Kong it got here that fast. WondaMobile pays import taxes if you are outside of Europe, and you get more than one color, 5G support, 256gb. I ordered the blue model and it worked with my existing TMobile sim out of the box. It cost me 955 USD, 5 dollar premium to Sony's direct pricing the US, except you the more colors, 256gb, and you get it before December. Sadly no bonus goodies like some EU sellers, but it is easily the best way to get your hands on one in the US.
