ANS:I have included this app to tweak the kernel settings efficiently. You can enable everything you want.
Q:What's the difference between m(mainline) and e(experimental) versions?
ANS:M builds are made for performance and battery and only include necessary features. E builds are meant for experimentality and they include M features+Many experimental features. E builds have many tweaks but it might drain your battery. E builds might not even boot, so flash at your own risk and take a backup before flashing.
Q:What is F2FS?
ANS:F2FS is a file system exploiting NAND flash memory-based storage devices, which is based on Log-structured File System (LFS). The design has been focused on addressing the fundamental issues in LFS, which are snowball effect of wandering tree and high cleaning overhead.
Q:What is UKSM?

FAQ
How can i set the kernel features?
The recomend app is FauxClock. Other apps can have problems with cpu freq setting or other features.
Fauxclock isn't supported.
Install Fauxclock > Open and accept SuperSu > force close it > open again (if this isn't working, you need to fix permissions.)
Why i do this? ETA's?
It's only build for my own use, so i update it if i think i must do it. Please do not ask for ETA's.

Current bug: Clicking Ambient Display causes Force Close?
Everything else seems to work fine so far, will report back if I find something else.
@AuxXxilium : this is great. I was a very big fan of temasek for S3 and I was thrilled when I saw your post. Thanks. The issue that I have is that it seems I am limited with 3g speed after I have installed the rom. I cannot get more than 47kB / sec no matter what I do. Before installing the rom , exactly in the same place, I was having over 1,5 MB / sec. Does anyone have the same issue? Thanks

In case someone else has the same issue...
I found that the default access point was WAP instead of Internet, this was limiting the speed. After I switched to Internet, speed was over 1,5 MB.
Just tried to install the ROM ,but the installation was aborted complaining that this image is for a trltexx and that I'm having a trlte . I think i installed different kernel for my previous Rom . Could anyone suggest what i have to do to change it to trltexxx .

You have the incorrect recovery.
Install the correct recovery from TWRP's website.
If you have N910F (Trltexx) install this zip from recovery and then reboot to recovery again to install the ROM.

i tried to install but device got struck in download mode and i couldnt boot normal as well. odin is not recognising the device as well

Take your phone's battery out. (Make sure device isn't plugged in anywhere)
Then put the battery back in after 10 seconds.
Then hold the volume down, home button and power your device on.
Then plug your phone into your computer, and try different USB ports (Make sure Kies is not installed) and flash a stock ROM via Odin and start a fresh.
Install a custom recovery (TWRP).

sview hack is in rom included, the next kernel version does enable it. so i think it should work after that, but i havn't a sview cover for my phone. so i can't try it out.
About Xtreme Kernel for Samsung Galaxy Note 5
The main goal of this kernel is to target a niche group of people looking for a daily drive kernel for their devices,a solid stable kernel with extended battery life without sacrifying performances, a reliable kernel with the best smoother user experience possible and optimum power efficiency managment.
With those guidelines in mind,i am not going to re-invent the wheel,as samsung and linux devs already did a really great job on android linux kernel, but more a fine tuning on differents kernel's sections that has direct impact on battery life and performances,without affecting their dependencies and inter-dependencies wich may lead to unexpected behaviour (no blind cherry-picking or patch merging,but more reading linux documentation for better understanding)
The challenge was to match the best balanced profil design for performances/battery life with solid stability to bring a different user experience than stock one, wich is not battery friendly,especially on ux firmware, as most of users know its battery drain 'issue'.
Agrressive improvments has been done on this kernel, tracking every bit that can take up precious resources on your phone when you aren’t using it, and improved this even further by making more wise power serving while in use, resulting in a longer battery life wich can last more with extra time.
This kernel doesn't have bells and wisthles other kernels have,if you are looking for playing with voltage, frequencies and synapse so this kernel may not fit your needs and suits your habits,you still are completly free to use it or no,it's up to you.
Xtreme Kernel has been tested and working fine so far,so be more precise when reporting if you encounter any issue to pinpoint the problem for better diagnosis.(FYI kernel has been reported bug free from all testers).

- Steps for flashing kernel:
I assume that you are already on a rooted device with TWRP 3.0.x.x installed,if not,useful posts on how to root and install twrp can be found on Xda,just do a search.
1 - enter recovery mode via twrp
2 - Wipe cache and Dalvick/ART cache ( important step or junk files will lead to internal conflicts like freeze lags or random reboots)
3 - Flash kernel and reboot,(it will bootloop once,just don't touch it and don't panic)
4 - After complete reboot,don't use the phone and let the kernel settle for 5 minutes for better hardware and firmware integration,if u use it while rebuilting cache and integrating,you may experience lags or freeze,so let it install comfortably before starting usage.
5 - after step 4 , you can use the kernel. A second reboot is advicable but not obligatory,it's up to you.
6- Enjoy Xtreme Kernel !

- How to set SE linux to Permissive permanently for Xtreme Kernel with SELinux Enforcing mode ?
1- You need to have 2 tools:
--- A root files explorer like Fx Explorer with root addon OR Root explorer ( I am using Fx explorer ,personal preference)
--- Universal init.d (to enable support), Download it from PlayStore
2- Once installed,enable it by switching to ON
3- With root access, Go to system/etc/init.d directory
4- Create a file and name it 08setperm
5- Open new created file and write these 2 lines:
#!/system/sh
setenforce 0
6- Save and close
7- Give full permissions (read,write,execute) to the file " 08setperm " like this "rwxrwxrwx" (use Fx Explorer or Root explorer to edit and change permissions)
8- Open Universal init.d and switch to ON and click on "08setperm" then click 'execute' on top (the play buttom).
9- Now Reboot your phone
10- Done! your SELinux mode is set to permissive permanetly.
To revert back to Enforcing, just switch to OFF Universal init.d enabler and reboot .

I am using with supersu without any bug but if you flashed xposed, it can be buggy because xposed using different art so this can be cause of bootloop

Well… maybe the dev is still around as he did increase compatability for Zenfone 6 on other Zenfone 5 roms

My main objective for this kernel project is to somewhat keep it simple but include a few features that I find useful , it won't be bloated with all the features out there.
I decided to share this kernel (at first it was a personal project ) with the great S5 community. Im a noob at this so don't expect much (lol) , as far as I know this kernel was complied under KLTE but my variant is a KLTEVZW , so my guess any other variant that can run KLTE kernels this should work as well.
OreKazu-Kernel is still in beta stages but it still works very well.

V2.0 is now out .
Kernel as been started back off from the ground ( :crying: ) up due to some issues i faced , heck it might start off from scratch again but that time it would be due a switch to a different ( new laptop) workstation.
-sound control was removed due to instabilities from initial Lin15-1 so adding sound control only made it worst ( in my experience)
-a few other stuff are not added back yet but a few thing were added.

This is just a re-base launch ( yep started from scratch again lol ) but decided to switch it up a little .

Also added another gpu gov , and i dont remember if the other Orekazu-Kernel had the added cpu frequencies.

Hi, what about WireGuard support? Is included in this kernel? Or will be?

I will look into it , ive never heard of wire guard b4 , but it is an interesting feature. Can't say for sure that it will work unless you know of another samsung kernel that already had the support in it ( that would be much helpful ) , but i will take a crack at it and see if it will work and not cause a loss in anyway.:highfive:

It will be difficult to include Wireguard support to any klte kernel atm as it is only available and intended to work on Linux Kernel versions 3.10.y and above.

3.10.x kernels and up? , then sadly it wont be able to be supported.
i guess the only option is if Lineage can support it unless it depends on the kernel aspect as well ,if so then thats a no-go for WireGuard.:crying:
Hi.. Awesome kernel.. Btw i manage to port it on hlte with lineage defconfig... I got many features but some are missing and may not work properly because u're using MSM8974PRO.. Can u support MSM8974 too?? Thanx.. Im new in this kind of things btw..

Not sure , since my setup is limited and manually applying the commit for hlte might be a a troublesome task , but none the less i'll give it a shot .

as @kenedielh stated , it will overtime burn(sort of speak)out your device, kill the cpu at one point , also to avoid even more battery drain as Lineage has not fully fix battery drain plus the gpu is at 657mhz compared to stock 578mhz max , also due to past experience testing 3.0ghz its very unstable so keeping max at 2.4ghz is the best course of action in this kernel's case. For example when i was testing Venom Kernel my max cpu freq was always set at 15xxmhz and nothing more and gpu at 657mhz max and between a 100-105 - undervolt ( silicon lottery , your mileage may vary ) .
Also since this is just beta thread im just compiling , testing and sharing builds here , Stable release when ready and very stable/smooth/and power efficient even for gamers like myself , it will be in the Unified section and this beta project will be deleted , think of this as a rough-draft for the main thing to come.( hopefully)

You need to update your lineage to @haggertk's ( taking this opportunity to thank @haggertk ) latest build , i doubt my kernel will work on an old build of lineage since many changes have been made on both kernel and rom sides.
