ROFLMFAO - it is clear to all that all you are doing is taking real devs work and presenting it as your own, it's a fantastic copy and paste exercise granted.

You took the Optimized CM12.1 as a base for your ROM (there is insurmountable proof of this) without permission. It is not an official CM ROM, it is the culmination of several people's hard work fixing things on CM and optimising for all of the jf device tree...
You're absolutely free to sync the code from GitHub and compile yourself on your own machine. That is what open source is for. But we are publishing the ROM on XDA and we are not giving permission for it to be used as a base. You should sync our sources and build yourself (we will know if you've done this, or just taken our zip), not take our zip package and modify it and put up donation links. You can also use the Official CM builds for your base, but not ours.
Futhermore, and probably besides the point, but the claims in this thread about optimised CPU usage and great for gaming is totally spurious and unsubstantiated. All you've done is "debloat", add Gogole Apps, and add useless build.prop values

@malybru
Please, A bit of Concentration on this Thread would be Heartly Appreciated, As the Thread, is HURTING The Original Authors & The Whole JDCTeam

@g7755725 @oka1
First of all I would like to ask excuses for the posts I've done, but they where a reaction to the situation.
Now, Forum Mod has evaluated the informations we gave him, and due to the fact the download links where removed, we assume that on this rom there is something not correct.
I managed in PM with another user ( @minidude2012 that has offered his help to sort out this situation) some exchange of informations.
I clearly stated that JDC Team nor any of his members has given permission for such a kind of MODDING of the original Optimized CM12.1 by JDC Team ROM.
My suggestions where oriented on two directions:
1) Instead of doing a complete ROM, to create a "package" to mod our ROM to obtain the result you want (to be applyed after ROM flash for example).
2) To build by yourself from sources a ROM that have on sources consistent changes VS our github (to build the rom on our sources as they are, would be just a copy)... if instead the changes on source are consistent, it can become a different ROM, but you need to work correctly with github, commits, no reauthoring... this means you can demonstrate you are a developer and that you know what means open source.
This are the rules for this second option (from a PM of @AntaresOne , LEAD DEVELOPER of OPTIMIZED CM12.1):
----------------------------------------------------------------
- Modified sources clearly linked to his GitHub (with a well-made commit history: no kangs, no reauthoring, cherry-pick and merge conflicts in case of to keep the author intact)
- All the credits to JDCTeam and CyanogenMod for the base sources used
- Make consistent modifications in our code (otherwise just start over from unofficial CM instead of our)
- Don't unzip, modify our builds and publish (kang)
----------------------------------------------------------------
This message has been already given to @minidude2012 and has been probably forwarded in PM to @g7755725
Now here I published all the informations. Is up to OP to decide how he would like to work.
Thanks for your attention.

Perhaps you should publish how exactly you will make a gaming OS, because it just looks like you've removed system apps and added magical build.prop "tweaks", whereas to properly optimise for any kind of CPU/GPU activities you'd need to be knee deep in low-level code and building from source.
If you can publish how you have achieved this, you'd probably have a lot of supporters across the whole forum.
EDIT:
Also, it's good you've apologised and realised the error of your ways. I will say no more on this.

To all the Devs and Op... please carry this conversation in a PM it will be more productive, and avoid the random troll trying to take sides ..........

Team OctOs presents Oct-L.
We maintain a current release record and change-log on our website: http://www.teamoctos.com
- Please Do Not Mirror our files without talking to us. We can do that ourselves should we desire to. -
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is this Android 5 (Lollipop)?
A: Yes, this is Android 5.1.1
Q: What code is Oct-L based on?
A: Starting with Oct-L, we've rebased OctOs on the CyanogenMod 12 code.
Q: What happened to AOSP?
A: All Android code is based on the Android Open Source Project (AOSP). Under previous releases, we tried very hard to limit the number of "Not from Google directly" repositories that we used. Unfortunately, issues with devices, the need for Code Aurora Foundation (CAF) repositories for Qualcomm devices, and compatibility issues meant fighting code more often than not. We decided that since the code-base for many repositories were the same across most ROMs, picking a starting point to build the user experience on outweighed the desire to craft code from scratch, or fix broken code to make it work with other changes we already had.
Q: Why isn't there XXXXXXX feature.
A: Shoot us a Suggestion if you want to see something added. While we are not going to promise to implement, we will always look into it
Q: But CM and all the others have..
A: ROM developers, including CM, build something they want to use. The ROM developer that includes something they won't run implies less than 100% effort to ensure it does work. As a team, we have similar goals and objectives. If XYZ ROM has a feature you want, and we don't include (or don't want to include), feel free to use XYZ ROM, or build your own custom version of Oct-L.
Q: Superuser or SuperSU?
A: Team OctOs uses SuperSU and is installed automatically.
Bugs:
Bugs happen. Our testers are very good at breaking things, but no where near as good as the rest of the Android public. In order to investigate and fix issues, we need the help of the users who are going to report them. The Android OS has many nifty features to help us in this, but only if we can engage the user to assist us.
Logs, Logcat, and the Android Debugging Bridge (ADB)
Like any other OS, Android has multiple log files that are generated and record the goings-on of the system. As a user, you have two basic ways to view and pull these to send to us. Without the information in the logfiles, there simply is not a whole lot of information to go on.
Log file APKs
Team OctOs recommends SysLog from the Android Market. This application will allow you to selectively pick any (or all) of the system logs, compress them into a .ZIP file, and allow you to save, email, move to your Copy/DropBox/Cloud Storage account, etc.
ADB Logcat
The Android Debugging Bridge (ADB) is a powerful tool available from Google as part of the Android Software Development Kit (SDK). Used for many things, being able to selectively see, in real-time, what your device is doing cannot be downplayed. While there is more setup involved, if you are doing consistent ROM flashing, you really should invest the time to get setup properly to do it.
ADB Logcat tutorial here: How to create a logcat log
Basic Instructions:
Download ROM .zip file and MD5 file, and grab your favourite Android 5 based GApps package
Reboot to Recovery (Note: Use Reboot to Recovery from Power Menu, Hardware-based boot to recovery, or adb reboot recovery - ROM Manager or similar software is NOT supported)
--- TWRP is the ONLY recovery Team OctOs uses - We do not support flashing on CWM ---
Factory Reset from TWRP
Flash ROM and GApps .ZIP files
Reboot
The Oct-L ROM installation script will automatically wipe /system, /cache, and /data/dalvik-cache. There is no need to do these before or after flashing the ROM unless you are instructed to by your GApps Provider
The foundation of the Android OS is the fact that is it open-source. We have all code we use internally in the creation of Oct-L available on our GitHub repositories.
Unless otherwise specified, all Oct-L builds use the device's stock CyanogenMod 12 kernel.

-Battery life good (make sure keep Google play services in check) sometimes I get lucky with the gapps I try, sometimes not
-GPS great
-No dual window (we're cm based)
-Bluetooth good. I believe NFC works, but I don't use it. Anyone chime in?
Thanks for trying us!
Thanks for bringing this ROM to the G3. Everything is running good. Very snappy, no lag, lots of features. I didn't try nfc or Bluetooth since I don't use them. Keep up the good work.

Hello! Thank you for bringing your ROM to us! What do you mean by "make sure to keep Google play services in check"? Is there something I should be looking for?
Thank you in advance!
Edit: Internet connection popped in after cycling from Global to 3g, then Global to LTE. Works great now!

NFC? It's best not to bring that up around here - it's the bane of the G3 dev and kind of the Holy Grail. Bluetooth isn't totally ironed out yet, but I find it plenty reliable. Thx for bringing us OctOS @red3razor! Since the early S3 days, I've dug your product and team attitude!

coming from the maintainer of MERE ROM for MMA A116, this oughta be good. will check this out. all the best, @Megatron007. :good:
i'm using resurrection remix rom now, since i find it has the most customisation options. if the issues mentioned in this post could be tackled, i'd be happy. thanks in advance.
p.s.: what exactly does "NOT supported" mean? is it that you won't offer fixes for issues that emanate from using other methods to boot into recovery and/or if the recovery used is anything other than twrp? or, that things just won't work if not done exactly as told?

coming from the maintainer of MERE ROM for MMA A116, this oughta be good. will check this out. all the best, @Megatron007. :good:
i'm using resurrection remix rom now, since i find it has the most customisation options. if the issues mentioned in this post could be tackled, i'd be happy. thanks in advance.
p.s.: what exactly does "NOT supported" mean? is it that you won't offer fixes for issues that emanate from using other methods to boot into recovery and/or if the recovery used is anything other than twrp? or, that things just won't work if not done exactly as told?

I tried the GAPPS from the link provided but didn't work for me. Click here, this is the minimal edition and works wonders. I've tried with other 5.1.1 Roms, worked all the time. Plz hit thanks.

Hi Dev,
The ROM is pretty smooth an awesome. Please add FM and Animation control support in next release if possible
Nav bar dimension too

A query if anyone can solve please
Does it have the issue of showing SIM Card configured on bootup?
Good ROM But..
I downloaded and installed this ROM and used the same for about 20 hours. My observations...
1. Very Smooth. Antutu gave me 33490 score.
2. Xposed worked for me without any issues.
3. Gave me fairly good battery (with varun's Thunderzap kernel)
But I faced frequent Dialer FCs. Sometimes using dialer would reboot the phone.
So I had to go back to Stock cm12.
Thanks for your efforts developer. I do hope you would support this ROM in the future. Would like to come back to this ROM quickly.

ROM OS Version: 5.1.x Lollipop
Based On: Cynogen Mod
Version Information
Status: Nightly
Created 2015-09-16
Last Updated 2015-09-15
Frequently Asked QuestionsQ: Is this Android 5 (Lollipop)?
A: Yes, this is Android 5.1.1
Q: What code is Oct-L based on?
A: Starting with Oct-L, we've rebased OctOs on the CyanogenMod 12.1 code.
We decided that since the code-base for many repositories were the same across most ROMs, picking a starting point to build the user experience on outweighed the desire to craft code from scratch, or fix broken code to make it work with other changes we already had.*
Bugs:Bugs happen.
Al right I am going to give it a try and will let you know if I find any bugs.

Flashing Instructions for various devices
1. Pocophone F1
-Pocophone F1 on Android Pie with custom ROM AOSiP
- factory reset phone in TWRP.
- ( probably not necessary - but wiped cache dalvik cache , system , data , internal storage)
- since I (mistakenly ?) wiped "system" I reinstalled custom ROM AOSiP and then installed GSI on top of the AOSiP
- rebooted successfully into GSI
( if you wipe "system" and then install GSI you cannot boot into the phone)
- for pocophone users:
I have beryllium-9.4.1-9.0-vendor-firware.zip installed
2. Razer phone 1
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1F7Yhqir9JV9Y72pSXD6Fag3hIMbyQjUaSiLTy35xFHk/edit?usp=drivesdk
3. Pixel/xl 1/2/3
- easiest way to flash this GSI and know you did it correctly, where most stuff should work, download the factory images for pie 9.0.0 and delete the system.img and the vbmeta.img
- download the GSI and rename it to system.img, and download the custom vbmeta.img and put both downloaded files back into the factory images
- use the ./flashall.sh/bat script to flash all the images in correct order
- when you're done, wipe data with fastboot -w
- reboot to rom and make sure you're on the GSI then flash twrp so you can root or maybe backup or restore previous builds
4. YOUR PHONE INSTRUCTIONS HERE - POST WHAT YOU DID TO MAKE YOUR PHONE BOOT THE GSI
Plz give a description about byilds variants like gapps , stock , foss and go
Afaik -
gapps- gapps included
Foss- free open source apps included
Stock - no additional apps included maybe
Go- for low end devices (go variant)

This will be a weekly/monthly updated, depending on our Gerrit being updated. If there are many changes being pushed upstream, then it will be weekly, if not it will be monthly with updated security patches on or near the 5th of every month. This is honestly the most stable GSI I've ever flashed. Once I test my newest build to see if the VoLTE and VoWifi commits worked, I will update OP with new test build and updated reasonings. Happy flashing!

Any chance of a ARM64-A gsi image only, I see only A/B, many thanks.
Patience people. We're working on it
I will be building an aonly version in just a few minutes, and it will take about an hour and a half to complete so there will be a version for a and a/b. Then depending on requests, I will build an arm32, but that's not too likely as Google has dropped support for 32bit devices

FAQ
Q: Can I flash S8+ builds on S8 (or vice versa)?
No! Can't believe I have to make a FAQ entry for this. So many PMs asking. Obviously you can't flash an S8+ build on an S8 or vice versa!
Same goes for Note 8 - no, you just can't flash S8/S8+ builds on your Note 8 and expect it to work.
If you have done so then your device will probably be softbricked (or worse, I've never done it). Use Odin to restore to stock and try again, or alternatively flash a correct build for your device.
Q: The statusbar icons are cut off! Why?
If you haven't updated yet, please do so now. Latest versions have the fix for this.
If you are on an older version, or if you have updated and the changes are not sticking, then go to the Settings app, Blissify, More, Rounded corners, and then set "Statusbar extra padding" to 24 dp.
Again, these steps are unnecessary if you clean flash the latest version as I have fixed it there.
Q: I don't see the uploaded build yet. What's going on?
It takes some time for uploaded artifacts to sync across to all servers. During that time you may see no file uploaded or potentially get an incomplete download. We always recommend flashing with the MD5 file so that TWRP can make sure the build is not damaged before you flash it.
Q: Where are the Note 8 downloads?
I don't have a Note 8. As for the S8, those were uploaded with the help of test volunteers. Note 8 builds may be possible in the future but for now there are none.
And that's it! If I have forgotten anything post here or send me an email. Thanks!

Would this not be posted in a wrong forum, as it is not cross developed?

Could've at least stated that it is for S8+ only in the title.
I think it's a good policy to not build for devices you do not own, but I still feel like this should have been posted in the S8+ Rom-section.
Hi. I am going to test the rom, I am intrigued, a question the internal audio when recording screen is impossible? what happens to the gcam? works?
I can test for dreamlte, if you need a few
Thanks for new ROM ?
Hi. Very awesome rom. Been testing and playing around with it and I am in love. Very nice job whoever put time and work to make this rom for our s8plus. It's very smooth and battery friendly!!
However, I would like to point out a few things that I am experiencing.
1) There are some weird blue colours on google now and Spotify. See screenshots.
2) Aod doesn't work when I set the settings to show always. Well, it doesn't show always so I assume it's a bug or smth.
3) Theming. When I change theme background from default to another, Google keyboard doesn't change to white when white theme is on. I use global day theme during day and night during night. It's not a big deal, but if it's possible to somehow fix that, that would be great.
So far that's the only little issues I experienced. Other than that, it's super awesome rom. Thx again guys !!!
Forgot to mention one other small, non essential little thing hehe.
Is it possible to make that weather widget a bit more visible ? Like more whiteish ?
it is perfect and fluid. nothing to reproach, but the battery life is very short ...

Yup, OTA support is there! Backuptool works so you don't have to flash GApps after dirty flashing, either.

What do you mean? The download and flash should work as long as your S8+ has an Exynos chipset.

Should work, here, let me test.
I just tested and Google Camera apparently stores to internal by default. Not sure where the setting is to toggle to SD card. But I'm pretty sure it's possible with apps like Open Camera.

Google Camera works, although there is a slight layout bug when switching to the video record mode. Still working on that...

1. Yup we know of the blue color issue. It's a source-side bug. Some people report it so we're trying to nail it down.
2. I'll test AOD more and get back to you.
3. Also will look into this theming issue, although this one sounds more like a bug in Google Keyboard.

Hello everybody! Hope you are enjoying BlissRoms. A new build will go out today with the following changes:
- Fixed rounded corners by default
If you dirty flash and you still don't have fixed rounded corners, please go to Settings, Blissify, More, Rounded corners, and then set statusbar padding to 24 dp. Thanks! For clean flash it should work out of the box.
Next build will fix the unknown maintainer bug in Settings.
The OTA is being uploaded right now so please be patient! Make sure to flash with MD5 as TWRP will detect corrupted downloads with the digest file.
I've gotten a lot of requests for a dreamlte build. I don't own an S8, but a lot of volunteers have volunteered to test, and to that I'm really grateful and would like to say thank you! I noticed that a XDA member ported an unofficial build for the dreamlte already. Despite me contacting the member via PM he (or she) hasn't responded yet. I would like to get an official build out ASAP and would love some help from everybody who owns the S8. If you do and you would like to test an official build, please PM me here on XDA or on Telegram (ID of @ideaman924) so I can invite you to this Telegram group where I will post beta builds before they go live. Then this thread will be moved back into cross-development, once we have an official build out for the S8 that has been tested by everyone.
Again, thanks for using BlissRoms! Any questions? Post them here or send me a message!
