[POLL] CM 12.1 - Which app drawer design would you like as default? - Galaxy S 4 Mini Original Android Development

In CM 12.1, the app drawer was recently changed to a vertical design by default. I know that some users prefer the old one, so this is a poll to see what the majority of you would prefer as the default. If the poll shows that there's a clear favor for the old material design, I can change it to the default in future builds. Below are screenshots of each one.

CM:

Thanks to all that voted. It was a clear winner for material, so next nightly will have that as the default.
Those that prefer the new design, can switch it on in settings.

sorry to bother but
i dont visit xda daily so i missed the poll.
my vote goes for CM.
at least a productive appdrawer layout. imho.
is a six days lasting poll being considered a representive one?
30votes vs. over 700views ...
any chance to reopen it and let it open to see how it evolves.
there is maybe litte hope that usability catches up to 'i look nice like apple'
or maybe passes to lead the poll

CM for sure.
Faster, better, easier to spot all apps fast.

im on the unofficial nightlies for the i9192 by f4k.
Where in settings in this option? i cant find it. or is it an official thing for the i9190/5/5l devices?
Thanks!

Can't get HTC Clock ed Animation to work

Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone could help me get the 3d flip animation to work on my Hero clocks. I have checked out every preview on youtube and seems like Hero does have the feature especially when you unlock the screen.
My device does not do that for some reason and I've tried to switch from one rom to another and still can't get it to work.
I would appreciate if someone could enlighten me as I really love this phone and have been showing it off infront of my iPhone owning friends
Thanks to all in advance
ciao
its been removed on the rom update cuz it takes up too much resources

IMHO, it never did take up too many resources, or was a specific performance issue. It was just that some people saw it as one.
It was just that the clock widget didn't update when the phone was sleeping or otherwise occupied. It *still* doesn't either - I often wake my phone from sleeping and see my clock is some hours in the past until it changes to a new time. It just does switches "instantly", rather than running an animation now.
Regards,
Dave
Ok, so if I wanna see it again I have to roll back to the initial ROM and suffer with the lagginess. No good news
Thank you guys for your feed back.

Animating Flip Clock Widget
I have a clock widget with a real animating flip, which does not require sense. Check my thread.

[WIP] [COLAB] IIDA Home Launcher

Just found out about IIDA Home Launcher after looking through the screenshots thread. Made a CWM zip to try it out, it's attached.
Original Thread
The original download was the entire system/app dump of the Xperia(i think). I cut it down to only the IIDA apks, nothing get over written so you can delete the files after installing if you decide to ditch it.
My first impressions, it's really cool. It's like WP7 Metro but the app drawer is just a downward scroll instead of an icon.
But we'll have to work on it a bit to make it work on the Atrix. Also we'll have to figure out how to add locations to the lists, right now it seems to be only Japanese cities. And the email tab doesn't work. Also, we'll probably want to silence the beep on touch, but that's probably as easy as replacing a sound file with silence.
Here's a few screens:

I used this launcher for a couple days just before CM7 was updated. It was fun finding pictures and "flare" but it was also kind of buggy. At one point the calendar just disappeared and when I reflashed I forgot how frustrating moving all of my apps from the bottom to their respective sections was. Moments later CM7 came out and I left it in the dust. But I'm back on Darkside now since I need Webtop. I'll definitely give it another go.

This is awesome, i cant wait.
the weather app(the one with japanese cities only) is a different game, it pulls the information from a 2 different websites one for area and one for prefecture, we do not use prefectures in America so im kinda scratching my head to see how we are going to make this app work , the twitcheck app does not deodex properly according to another member who tried and i can't seem to find the facebook check or the music tile for the launcher, the Launcher itself is more than stable and it can be used on a daily basis.
check this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1313247&page=10 there is a conversation between me and another member who is working on the same launcher too.

CM Camera app for MDPI

So everytime I open the camera app in CM9 :

...I die a little inside.
Why ? Because of this :
In the 1st image, the shutter button is all streched out due to the resolution change. Why not change it to make it a perfect a circle like in the second image ? I know, a perfect circle will always be smaller but the current look of the button is just horrendous. Looks like a terrible port.
Who can I address this ? Already tweeted and g+ed CM...
Posted this in the CM board and nobody cared either.
Sometimes, you gotta give credit to Apple : they know about consistency and looks. Android devs and community are cavemen in that area...
U realize fxp got their own bugtracker do u..
Report there.
Tweet, g+, fb, post in their thread wont do any good. They only take seriously whats reported in their bugtracker.
I modded the apk and resized the circle. Looks good to me:
Use any root explorer and replace camera app, then restart phone. Done!

It would be very nice if you could upload your fix to CM's Gerrit, but you propably don't have whole repo on your disk. Can you tell me which graphic you've replaced to fix that so I can post your fix to CM? Of course including your name.

Better Recents With LG Idea?

I hope I'm posting this in the right thread.
In Need Better Recent App Management. Please Help?
After having a LG G3 for a while and the moving on to other phones I realized that my LG had the best most customizable way to handle my recent apps. Lollipop is nice and pretty but not near as fast as my old LG. I started to look on the play store to find a replacement, but shockingly no one has made a app like this. I am wondering is it because it would be too hard to make an app like this, or is it that no one has had the idea about making it yet. Its seems simple, but I'm not a Dev. A recent app menu where you can pinch to zoom to get more or less recent apps on the screen.
