So, what does everyone think of the new anti-piracy update. I think it's kind of dumb that they blocked lucky patcher. It has other useful features that aren't related to it's main features. I know there are ways of disabling it currently, but I just don't agree with the choice of them adding that. I think that it will make them lose a lot of users which obviously is not what any developer would want. But, that's my opinion on the whole thing. Other than that I really like the ROM. It's very clean and stable.

In a way this ROM runs way better than CM12

I have one from 2 builds back so it was an easy fix.
sent from "my kungfu is stronger then yours" XT1080

Just so everyone knows the 8/8 build installed no problem
sent from "my kungfu is stronger then yours" XT1080

Going to try this in a few hours from now. Will download the latest 08/08 build.
Which gapps (and where) should I use?
I am currently on OctOS.

I use the Octos gapps since I ran that before this rom.

I used Octos ran into issues with Bluetooth just like cm12. I haven't ran into Bluetooth issues with exodus
Sent from Droid Ultra Exodus

OK. I downloaded the gapps package called gapps-lp-20150222-signed. I do not have the link with me now, since I downloaded that from a different machine.
Now, I don't mind starting with a completely clean slate. I already have TWRP and a downgraded modem which is working absolutely fine. I don't mind getting rid of all my applications and reinstalling them.
This is to make sure that GPS works fine this time. So, should I format system and data partitions as well?
My bootloader is unlocked and I assume no matter which partitions are wiped (from TWRP), the bootloader will remain unlocked.

Installation of this ROM was a breeze. Sadly GPS still does not work.
I am trying to figure out how to fix that now. Should I go back to stock? If yes, how exactly?

Octos is a great rom however he only did 3 builds and looks like he abandoned it. So any issues won't get resolved. Exodus has nightly builds and runs awesome.
sent from "my kungfu is stronger then yours" XT1080

So, the technique to get back to stock, acquire GPS lock and then jump back to custom ROM still holds good.
Now, my GPS works fine.
Moving on to downloading and installing my apps from the earlier setup (OctOS).

Still on the 8/06 build and it is running like a champ. I have Xposed, Greenify, Amplify, and Power Nap all working together beautifully. The only issue for me that has not been fixed is the phone not being able to cast screen to Chromecast which was the same issue I was having with the AOSP 5.1.1_r9 ROM.

About Carbon
CarbonRom is an aftermarket firmware based on the Android Open Source Project. We are dedicated to fast, stable, and feature-filled roms, honesty and communication with our users, and openness with our code. We like frequent builds, with the very latest and greatest hardware support and fixes. We strive to not only provide you with the best rom we can build, but also to give back to the Android community and our fellow developers. For us, this is about creating something we can be proud of and hope you will enjoy.
Please feel free to look at, build, and use our code on CarbonDev GitHub.
We would like to thank CyanogenMod for their device trees, framework/settings mods and their code that was incorporated into this project. We also extend our gratitude to the devs whose code that we have incorporated. Proper authorship has been maintained and can be viewed on our repository.
Special thanks also go to Slim Rom for some of their features, PA, AOKP, and anyone else we may have borrowed commits from that hasn't been mentioned here. If you feel you have been unfairly left out, please - let us know.

Support
We spend an astonishing amount of time developing this software. We can't spend much time on XDA as a result, so if you need support, please try the following:
1) Search. Search, search, search. Yes, you. I don't care how unique or important your question is, it's very likely someone has adressed it already. Especially if you're even close to new at this.
2) Read our FAQ, which can be found on our goo.im page linked above. It's new, but expanding fast. Just like us!
3) Ask a question in your device forum. Someone will no doubt try to help you. Warning: this help may come in the form of telling you it's a dumb question that has been asked before. See step 1 - such are the perils of asking questions when you haven't done the research yourself. Android is about helping yourself.
4) Ask a question on our IRC channel. Connect to #teamcarbon on irc.freenode.net or click here. You'll find several other Carbon fans and usually one or more devs as well. Please be polite.

* Status Bar Mods
* Hardware Key Mod
* Many Wallpapers
* Performance Control
* Application Permission Controls
* Carrier Label Options
* Lock clock widget
* QuickSettings

I've tested this off and on for the last two weeks. Since I've had to "borrow" my wife's note 2 I don't have as much testing in as my galaxy s3
Gummy on the s3 is pretty stable but I had fewer issues on the Note 2. I think it's pretty stable on the note 2 as well.
I've tested it on VRAMC3 baseband.
Only issue I've encountered was the camcorder locked up once.
Oh one other issue that previous gummy users will notice. Kejar took out the nyan cat boot splash. I miss that.

What's Broken:
ROMS
ROMS should contain everything you need to enjoy KK. You are not required to install any Add Ons, simply download the latest ROM, gapps, flash it, and go!
You are STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing, and if possible avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup - these can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug. If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience strange behavior.
How to flash:
Don't do it if you don't know it
ROM has gapps persistance in between dirty flashes

Probably not. It doesn't seem like they have any nightlies going on, so it wouldn't benefit me much. With Vanir and CFX I just got the builds going and submit it to their git and I can set it and forget it, it'll build automatically. I'm the maintainer for CFX, so I gotta keep up with the device tree. With Vanir we managed to get it going with straight CM device tree, so no tooling around needed there. I haven't been able to get AICP's kernel to work yet either.
Will everything you do for this device is much appreciated... Im enjoying the Vanir ROM right at this moment...

What a great ROM. I just plugged it in this morning. I love the resolution, how smooth and fast it is, and the WiFi / 4G strength is fantastic.
Great work. Best KK ROM yet.

I've got a weak spot for CFX, but AICP was a second favorite of mine on Jelly Bean. I think it carried over nicely to KK. I like it a lot. I have a hard time choosing between CFX, AICP, and Vanir.

I had this with all of the CM Based roms. Not seeing it on this rom however, but didn't try.
On issue I DO have is that the android keyboard is constantly downloading at 10k/sec when on wifi.. I had to stop, clear cache and temp files, and now it looks like it is OK.

running very nice ... took me a min to find the switch to slim recent menu for anyone else here it is .. Settings -> AICP Extras -> Display & Animations -> Enable Slim Recents.
so regarding my issue with the network dropping. It seems like is has something to do with the Connection manager settings in AICP settings. If i turn it on or make any changes I lose my network completely.. I got confused and gave up messing with it but I thought I would let someone know. Not sure if that feature is functioning or not but I have reverted to the CM11 nightly for now.

As you can see in the 2nd post, it's based on 4.4.3. And 4.4.4 is a security update, nothing fancy

Then go ask Purity to update their rom. This one is based off that one and will probably not be updated until Purity does

The rom will definitely updated to 4.4.4 I am awaiting Darios to merge the changes. You must have seen that it is based on Purity rom.

I don't need to do that, there's too many other ROM's to choose from that are already running 4.4.4. Still kudos to brajesh.sharma87 for creating this ROM, nice work.
Edit: Thank you brajesh.sharma87.
Edit 2: I did indeed see that it was based on purity, I just wasn't aware that Purity hadn't been updated to 4.4.4, I've never used Purity.
Great Rom.
Awesome features and seems that theme engine didn't slow down the performance like others roms
Thank you!
Cool ok guys is it close to purity with smoothness and battery or no

Team EOS G3 Nightly builds
(Builds are not generated if there are no changes to source, saving you from useless updates)
Because this is an AOSP based ROM, Google Apps are not included. Flash the gapps of your choosing after you flash the ROM. If you need help finding a gapps package, ask any of us and we'll be happy to help
These builds are designed to be installed from your favorite recovery. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE LATEST BUMPED TWRP RECOVERY.
Detailed instructions:
Going to EOS 5.1.X from another ROM:
Boot to recovery
BACKUP YOUR CURRENT SETUP!!!
Make a full wipe (Dalvik, Dalvik Cache, System, Data)
Flash the ROM
Flash optional kernel if you choose to not use provided kernel **We DO NOT support outside kernels**
Flash gapps
Reboot
Updating from an older EOS build to new EOS build:
You can usually skip the full wipe step and just wipe both caches. If ever you encounter an issue make sure you make a full wipe first before reporting it. This is what most call "Dirty Flashing". Normally this doesn't cause problems, but keep in mind a clean flash is always the best way to go.

Where the link for vs985 G3 ....?
downloading...
Does anyone have a mirror? The 7/17/15 snapshot build will not download for me. I literally have tried 10 times. Downloads, but it is not a flashable file.

The ROM has lot's of potential, but hardly any customization options as of the latest build. However, the performance and battery life are pretty good.
I have voice but no data... on Rogers D855
Using stock/SlickRom everything works..
I selected the right APN rebooted.. turned off and on airplane mode.. still no luck
Is there something I'm missing?

Downloading now, must be some customization @297 MB. Even bliss rom ain't that big, but guess I'll see, I'll be flashing soon.
The latest for ls990 is 6/25?
Edit - I like this allot, the only thing that I'd like to see is to be able to rearrange the navbar, I like to have the back button over to the right & the recent to the left. But good job, thanks for this EOS team. I really like the force menu button

@Kimbo82, could be just a bad download. Download again and give it a try once more.

Gave this ROM a quick test run to see if it would install as a secondary in multirom (on D851). All went well. Pretty nice. The navbar (mentioned previously) is the first in ages that doesn't allow rearranging of buttons. But that Fling thing is pretty neat. Once I remember how I assigned things I find it quite useful.

Not sure downloaded the latest and the one from the 25th twice but none worked.
From what I googled it has to do with incompatible modem, but not sure which one I should use
