I read an opinion that, after rooting and installing Usb otg helper application the usb drive can be accessed through a good file explorer application. Can you kindly check it and confirm please? If it works, then I am planning to root my device. Thanks in advance.

I think it is ported from Canvas 4 (A210), but i am requesting for Canvas 2 Colors (A120) port ROM for CHD,

Sorry bro got confused with A120.I thought it was A210
hey bro, canvas 2 colours uses mtk6582... and our deice comes qwoth mtk6589.. i think it will be difficult to port.. but still i will try my best

So Balakrishnan have you used this phone>>>> I am having this phone, So i am requesting not to port the canvas 2 colors a120 rom bcoz it is somewhat buggy right now.... Instead you can request to port or even you can port rom of my phone rio which is a clone of a120////

I don't think its possible, for OTG to work, some hardware is required in the phone. It wont be possible with software only.

This means i wont be able to use OTG on my phone
No development for this phone except for 2 lollipop based roms.

It is an hardware characteristic that can't be added throug any software...

To use OTG you need hardware support
& hardware of MMX A310/A311 doesn't support
But you can try this because only thing to make OTG work is a power source (of same voltage of that in PC USB) and and then connect OTG cable to power source as well as mobile & then try to mount it in twrp recovery mount option after connecting required items
CM12.1 doesn't support OTG pen drive but supports a USB Keyboard

Now download the original MMX ROM then wipe ur whole user data including internal memory and then install that ROM !!! Suggested use of TWRP recovery !!! Voila u will have ur phone working
