[Q] recovery boot looping - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S 4

Selling my galaxy S4 which is running cm12.1 rom and the guy who bought it wants me to keep it on cm and keep the bootloader on the mdk build.
for some reason i thought it would be a good idea to go into the phone, go to backup and recovery area and do a factory reset. the phone rebooted, and now its just looping at the TWRP screen. it just flashes it every few seconds, doesn't seem to be rebooting the phone, just recovery. if i pull the battery and throw it back in, phone will try and boot back into recovery and I have the same issue.
is there a way to reflash TWRP via odin? or even clockwork mod? just need something to get into recovery with or how else can i fix this? I really want to avoid doing an odin flash back to stock MDK, then rerooting and then reflashing a cm12.1 rom.

Phone just won't take a ROM

I've been running Gingeritis for ages and decided to upgrade. My first choice was CM7, so I download it, throw it on my SD Card, boot into recovery, wipe everything then attempt to flash. I get no error message but when I go to reboot it stays locked on the HTC screen.
I've updated to the newest radio and am now running, or at least I think it flashed correctly, IMOSEYON (AOSP) leanKernel.
I've tried other ROMS and my phone won't take anything, it just stays on the HTC screen after giving me no errors during flashing.
Any help? I'm pulling my hair out over here.
Attempted a factory reset and wiped everything on the phone and nothing. It won't boot at all and there's nothing I can recover to now. Wonderful, am I screwed now?
Do u have a backup you can revert back to?
Not anymore. I cleared everything hoping to go back to stock, I think all I have left is a blank slate.
Update your recovery version.
How would I go about doing that?
What recovery are you using now? Then I will search for your latest version. The recovery can be in a PG05IMG.zip. Installation is the same as when you flashed the updated radios.
I'm on clockwork recovery, could that really be the problem not allowing it to fully flash the ROM?
Also, when I'm in recovery and trying to install these new ROMS they "finish" in less than 20 seconds...I know that's not normal.
OK. Thank you for letting me know your recovery. Latest version of clockwork is 5.0.2.1

[solved] Stuck on boot screen. Help!

Edit: This was solved by reflashing cf-root, which restored both recovery and cache to safe versions. Now I need to boot into recovery with Home+VolumeUp+Power and restore a backup.
I was flashing and testing new versions of clockwork recovery (using Heimdall, not Odin). Now the phone is stuck on the boot screen (it doesn't play the audio or get to the boot animation). I can still boot into download mode, but I can't boot to recovery. I've flashed other versions of recovery, including versions that I know are good. I've pulled the battery. What can I do to get my phone back? I don't think I've done anything besides back up the system and flash a new recovery image!
Anybody know what to do? Next thing I can think of is flashing CF-root again, but that seems dangerous if there might be a better way.
Thanks!

Safestrap removed now cannot boot into stock recovery

Hey guys Im trying to get my rooted and ROM'ed ME7 Galaxy S4 back to barebone stock as Im trying to sell the phone.
What things have I done to my phone?
Ive rooted my ME7 S4 and then loaed Safestrap recovery and installed a custom rom on slot 1
Now in the process of trying to get my phone back to stock I did a wipe from safestrap on the stock rom slot which reset the stock rom I then booted from the stock rom n downloaded safestrap and was able to uninstal safestrap so now my phone boot up to a fresh clean s4 without any safestrap recovery splash screen
however my problem is in order to sell my phone I have to be able to do a reset from the settings then accounts tab and backup and reset button
however when I do this the phone reboots and has the Could not do normal boot error odin mode
I assume since I removed the safestrap recovery there is no recovery software at all now?
Can anyone tell me how I can get stock recovery back onto my phone and heres the kicker if at all possible to do so without the use of a PC as I currently dont have access to one but if thats the only way still pkease let me know how I can get stock recovery back
Also im not really concern with unrooting the phone as long as I can get back into the stock recovery. Also if anyone is wondering yes I can install safestrap again and it will boot up like how I had my rooted n rom setup
I just need to get my stock recovery back so I can do factory data resets using the stock recovery n not the wipe method from safestrap recovery
thanks for any help

If you're going to sell it, plug it in to your PC and run the Verizon Recovery Assistant. It'll wipe and reinstall for you.

[Q] Bricked S4 No OS, (I think?) NK1 with SS installed

Well here's the story..... So I want to install a custom ROM via SS, the install goes without issue. (I'm running stock NK1 Rooted at the time) I go to install a ROM , and It fails, so I go to reboot the device, and Its back into a bootloop. No big deal, iv'e delt with this before... .I attempt to flash it back to stock NC5 to root it and start over, the flash succeeds, but when I try to boot it i just get the "Samsung Galaxy S4" logo and it sits there doing nothing, and I cant boot into recovery for some reason, just goes back to ODIN mode. Is there anything that can be done?

Try a reflash via Odin. It may help. Which image are you flashing?

[Q] Can't go into recovery mode.

Hey guys I need some help. I have a Verizon Galaxy S4 with NK1. I rooted it by flashing back to NC5 and then rooting then flashing back to NK1, that part worked perfectly fine. I then wanted to install a recovery so I used the CWM app and thats where things went wrong. After doing so it said it did it successfully but when I clicked boot into recovery so I can install CM12 it did not boot into recovery it instead booted straight to the Odin screen with the Android logo in the middle and below it saying "Downloading", and also has the text in the top left corner.
I am hoping someone has an answer on how to fix this.
Thanks!
Also to add onto that I am able to boot up my phone normally its not that its stuck in a boot loop where I can't get past that point. It only happens when I try to go into recovery mode that it take me to the Odin screen. When I do the steps for booting into Recovery it shows the samsung logo and then the blue text that usually comes up in the top left corner flashes for a millisecond and then the screen transitions to the Odin screen
No cm based roms & only safestrap for custom recovery. Spend some time reading what you can & can't do to your phone

Is there any other way I can factory reset my phone and wipe it completely because I can't go into recovery mode.
Have you installed safestrap?

Yessir I installed it, what would be the next step?
Read how to use it. If you installed the recovery (not just the apk), reboot your phone and you'll see the screen and directions how to enter ss recovery.
From there you'll be able to wipe your phone.
Not sure how it'll work with you trying to install cwm. If this doesn't work, odin'ing back to stock and starting over might be your next option (unless someone else can suggest something)
Aslo, if you're stuck in that boot, you can pull the battery,
then hold the volume down, home and power to get the the download screen,
choose restart the phone
this worked for me when I was in a boot loop
This won't fix your recovery mode issue though, but you'll be able to use your phone in the mean time
