To be honest I am looking for a debloated ROM. No touchWiz, no Samsung apps, and only the Google Play Store w/essential support.
Remove gmail, maps, books, movies, youtube, dropbox, etc. etc.
Oh and the 5Ghz wifi should work - a few other ROMs for the 230NU do not have this operational.

OK that's fine, I install nova as standard, remove standard file manager and replace with total commander, also I can do a Google free version so the gapps choice is your own. Also any app with Samsung in the name gets instantly removed on any of my ROMs.

Owners of this device are interested in anything we can get, at least I am. Been using acheron rom and its been great. Not much development for this device but its all appreciated.

Hello, I was able to develop an app to help you add apps into the multiwindow bar. This app will be limited to adding two apps for the xda version, and unlimited apps for the donation version which you will be able to find in my play store page.
The app is due to release today or tomorrow. This will develop into a fully customizable framework.
If you don't use the play store, feel free to contact me and we can find a solution.
But one thing I promise, is continuous and fast updates for each new firmware.

Yes, You will have to flash the modded files for this to work, but not to worr y because the won't change the look of your ROM, or remove your accounts.

I´ve tried it the way for the Note 2, like Lennyuk and Paul O'Brien described, but I wasn´t successful.
I´ve looked in the framework-res.apk and couldn´t find any list with the <item>´s in the xml´s.

Actualy when dpi is changed some app are broken or fit not well ( clock, calendar, phone, multiwindow and camera). If it's in your app, I beleive I can give to you more money

Skype (or any other app you added by modaco) will work, but it won't be shown on my app (tho you can add it from my app and have it working).

If you are rooted, you can install the XPosed Framework and the App Setting Module to change the DPI Setting for that application. Here's the link to the module, make sure you're rooted first.

i tried installing this apk on a phone and a tablet, but both of them failed.

Yeah its true we can experience android KitKat goodies on our quattro and I have tested KitKat launcher, new Google now, keyboard, camera, playstore on quattro and they are awesome. some others apps like hangouts ,gallery ,calender,clock are also available but not tested by me

no,you are wrong bro as said by google kitkat also works fine and smooth even for a low end phone with 512mb of ram as it on 2or3 gigs of ram. kitkat is optimised such that the system memory tracks are minimum and also all system services are optimised for low space so you can say that by kitkat google is taking a new initiative to provide its latest iteration to all.

I posted a Beta link to the OP. I am having second thoughts on the name of the ROM so it will probably be changing tonight. This one is getting off to a rough start but it'll get there!!!
Getting really good battery life. Granted I don't have a lot of screentime since I am working but I also don't get any reception at my desk so the radios are trying to connect all day. On MJ5 I'd be at about 40% under these same conditions at this point in the day. WiFi is not connected since we have no guest/employee account here.

On fire note and alliance and your azurerom, I'd be at 98% or 95% in worst cases after 8 hours. With everything turned on including wifi location and a very bad signal. LOL

You don't really flash Odin. Check out my thread in General about going from JellyBean to KK. You only need a computer to flash a few files onto your device. It takes like 3-4 minutes. Downloading files is the part of the process that takes the longest!

Get a cheap flash drive, load up the files on there, bring a data cord. It won't take long at all and you will be prepared when you get a chance to do it!

This is my first time ever doing any sort of build for any android phone, and i know that there are other roms out there, but i felt pretty proud of myself that i was able to learn how to do this. Of course none of this could have been possible without the help from a few people, @T-Macgnolia, @DevVortex for helping me get the proper setup going and showing me/teaching me how to get things from git. @Prasanna V (Vega TaySailor) for moral support and also @albinoman887 for all the work he and his team have done to get this off the ground. Of course i want to thank cyanogenmod and team for all they do as well. Also this is my first ever post on xda of this magnitude so.. im sorry for the all over the place sloppy nature of it. Later on down the road i would like to incorporate other things into the rom.. but im not at that level yet

When you flash this rom, the rom will do the normal, show boot animation for a few then continue into the starting apps process. After that is done it will go BACK to the boot animation for just a few seconds before it then fully boots up.. Just so everyone is aware and don't want anyone to think oh, its bootlooping when its indeed not doing so

Everything seems to be working great.. Bluetooth synced with my watch...Made phone calls sent texts..So far havent found anything not working...Real smooth and fast...Can't comment on battery life yet but so far one of the best roms I have used...Thanks

Idk about everybody else but when I switch between camera and video in the Google camera app it says "can not connect to camera." Other than that, great job on the ROM! Thanks for your hard work

@NewWorldOrphan9 yes this is just a stock MM Build, at the moment there are no extra Feature's other than what has been added in with CM things
@bigfruits8188 Thank you kindly! Ive been having that issue also with the (if you are using it) Google camera app.. ive noticed if you use the "Stock" Cyanogenmod camera app for some reason it doesnt have any problems working.

in my personal opinion, the things i have noticed that are different are.. system overall is much faster and fluid, transitions seem to happen a lot faster, i personally like that it now asked almost anything you do to allow or deny permissions for usage. the battery life is overall much better, the ability to optimize all or one app for better battery life/performance is a plus. I am sure there are things i am missing, but those are a few things i notice in day to usage
I just want to apologize to everyone, i wanted to have a new build out for you all today but i am currently having some building issue hoping to have everything resolved shortly. until that time,the current rom that is on here is still working and available!
Is native hotspot hack built into this rom?
