Z4 tablet screen problem when charging - Xperia Z4 Tablet Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I really like my Z4 tablet so far, but the only problem is the touchscreen will act weird when it's being charged. It's fine when it runs on battery. Anyone else has the same problem? Cheers.

I think this is common problem with Xperia brand. I had the same problem with my Xperia U phone. I think this problem is basically caused by some power difference of charger (even genuine charger may cause this behavior). With my Xperia U, I tested a few different chargers at an accessories shop and kept the one which worked fine. Actually I bought two pieces as a precaution...who knows
So, my advice to you is the same. Test a few different chargers who has different output value in amperes. I hope you will find the one that does the magic. Best of luck :good:

Thanks for the advice! I tried a few chargers and found one that works! Appreciate the help!

Good to know that my advice was helpful. By the way, you could have pressed the thanks button on the bottom right of that useful post
Anyway, plz share the output voltage and ampere value of the "magical" charger so that if somebody else encounter with this problem, this info might prove to be life saver.
Enjoy your experience :highfive:

Strange Battery Charging PROBLEM

Sorry, I come from an Non-English-speaking country, so I used Google Translate.
I have used Galaxy SIII for about four monthes, ALL ‎the accessories are original except the charger is from an old NOKIA N97 MINI. When I used it several days before, it charges really very fast - about two and a half hours. But recently, I have faced a strange and puzzling problem. The charger will not work when it connected to my phone, this problem also happened when I connnect the original cable for charging through original charger adapter. But to my surprise, when I used another cable, it works good....
I want to that if there is any way to solve my problem and I also want to that will the problem occurs more problem such as failure when connected to my laptop for flashing roms and copy files?
My email: [email protected]
Thank you!

Probably - replace both the charger and cable then try again.

Samsung original charger is known to be faulty/badly made/cause problems, I use my old s1 cable and charger, s2 also works, or, as suggested, buy a new one

[Q] SGS3 Won't Charge!

I know you guys have probably seen a thread like this a million times, but I know exactly what the problem is, but I have no idea as to how to fix it. The problem is in the phone's charging port itself, I need to get this repaired as after noticing that using the Galaxy Charging Current app, depending on the position of the USB cable, a different current is being supplied (all USB cables & Chargers wiggle around, they used to be held in solidly). Of course I have tried tens of other ways to find out what the problem is, and I know it's this for sure.
I'm based in the UK and I didn't buy the phone from a normal shop such as car phone warehouse, so does anyone know where I can get my phone fixed?
Thanks in advance!:good:

Not sure where to get it fixed but have you thought of buying a spare battery and charger? I have a separate battery and charger and hardly ever charge my phone directly with the charger. When one battery runs down I swapp them over done no waiting for my phone to charge

[Q] Xperia Z2 charging port problem?

Hi there, I'm new to XDA! *waves*
Recently, my Z2 has developed a annoying fault with the charging port, whereby it only charges if the micro-usb charger is pushed in at an angle with considerable force. Putting the charger in any other way results in the phone simply not charging (no red charging light, etc.)
I did a couple of searches but as of yet have not found anyone else having this specific problem. (if it helps, I've gone through a couple of charging cables - none work well)
Thoughts/help/advice?
cheers in advance!

hmm, if the device came like this your entitled to a free repair or replacement from sony mobile, try contacting one of their repair centres, if the device has developed this issue by its self recently then contact sony repair centre
you may have to pay if it isnt covered by warrenty

I'm still within warranty so that should be fine thanks . Just wondering if anyone else has this problem, and if so, is there a fix that doesn't involve replacing the phone?

Wireless charger working?

I'm having problems to find a good wireless charger for my s20u... the camera module gives me issue with my old anker charger (it leaves some space between the charger and the phone) and it takes forever to fully charge it (like 6 hours from 5 to 100%). Any of u using a wireless charger that works fine with s20u? If possible, I'm looking for one that doesnt keep the phone standing up, I rather have a pad. Thanks!
I use the official Samsung one that stands up. It's like $80, but has a cooling fan and works great.

Thanks! I noticed its not made for the s20 ultra tho, and in the samsung page reviews:
"Had this with no issues with my S10+. On the S20 Ultra, you can only charge in landscape mode which isn't helped with the Always on Display being in portrait. It's not an east or west alignment, it's I think the Qi pad in the phone is too high and the charger itself may be too low."
Do you have a problem like that?

I charge mine in portrait all the time. I've never tried landscape though. I can try landscape Monday and post an update as the charger sits on my desk at work.

I always use portait as well so would be fine, i just dont understand why that guy said it worked in landscape only though. I guess maybe because the camera module is so big that in interferes with the charge, like with my charger now... but it works for you so I really dunno!

Yea I use a case as well (ESR) but shouldnt the case make it even worse since it adds a layer? So you have some space between the phone and charger due to the module camera and also the case layer on top of that?

Thank you!! I was hoping it was the other CHOETECH one, the one with the phone not standing... because i often use the phone while it's charging and its not confortable to me to use it while standing while its much better if its just laying on a pad.

Yes thats the one I was hoping you had. The real question is: does it work? I just had to return the one i bought yesterday because it doesnt really work well with S20U, and if you check forums all over the world a lot of people have problems to use a wireless charger with S20U. Some are WAY slower than with S10+ (like both mine, the 700mAh difference doesnt make up for 2 hours extra time), others keep disconnecting while charging it... and since I cant keep returning the chargers, I was hoping to find someone who can confirm me something that works. I was suggested the totallee one, too bad they dont see them here in europe. :/

The one i have has no issues with the 3.0 quick charge it come with. I think to get the fast charge it needs to have Samsung adaptive fast charge or quick charge 3.0 brick. My phone was charged from 5% to 100% in 2 hours and 50 minutes.
