It is funny how T-Mobile has managed to get their GS5 up to 5.1.1 while most of GS6 owners in the US and the world still on 5.0

Here's a mega mirror.
And here's a system dump with APK's and whatnot .

The good news: You are able to downgrade from 5.1.1 to 5.0 or even 4.4 just by flashing previous firmwares using ODIN.
Without any problem. Full service, imei, SV, .... everything's fine.

Is the FOF6 bootloader still unlocked and can the rom be rooted with twrp and flashing SuperSU 2.49? Has anyone noticed improved performance and less ram being used?

Any New Changes?
Can someone please tell me Any New Features such as Themes are included in this 5.1.1 update?

Come on people post those long over due screenshots!

I just did the update and it killed my sim card reader. Booted up the phone after fresh wipe and install, my phone said that I needed to install a sim card. Talked to T-Mobile technical support and was told to go to the store to get a new sim card since they thought the update fried the sim card. Still no luck, phone won't read new sim card. Other than that, the phone sims a lot more fluid and some animations seem a little different.

I reinstalled it via Odin. This time I get signal and data, however, I keep getting a thing saying that there's an error for wifi calling. I don't really use wifi calling, so I don't care too much about that. As far as screen shots, nothing that I have found so far looks any different.

Successful Flash International Version

Just FYI, I flashed the posted Omega v 1.1 for the Galaxy S5 on the International site, on my T Mobile SM-G900T
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=51857845
If I'm violating XDA policy here, my bad. Just wanted to let others no that as with the S4, many of the International ROMs worked. Your mileage may vary and I am NOT responsible if something happens to your device. I am using the twrp 2.7.0.0 version reference here in the rooting method for our TMobile S5's.
Currently finishing the installation process. I am not making any recommendations as to what ROMs are best etc. Just wanted to let others know that this worked for me.

One other question - on the Note 3, when we flashed some international roms - it always wiped the internal SD card - did that happen when you flashed this rom?

it isn't just flahsing the international version - it is a custom rom - OMEGA - which has been avaiablle for Note 3 - S4 - S3 and god knows how many other phones - this is an early rom - and probably doesn't have all of it's usual features - but it is a start - the first custom ROM for the s5 -
At least as far as I know and have read - I haven't flashed it - but am about to.
Might lose WiFi calling

Stock from Omega. I did notice the recovery screen quickly flashing a message in the upper left of the screen something about the kernel and being "compliant" (just a guess on remembering) but after it completed the flash and booted up just fine and wifi worked instantly, so I basically let it go in passing.

I did find that it wipes the INTERNAL SD CARD - so you may want to make copies of important folders and put them on the External SD Card so you don't loose anything important. (If you use Titanium Backup - copy the Titanium Backup folder from your internal SD card and put it on the Ext SD Card) or just change the backup location of Titanium Backup to use the external SD Card so you don't loose it) I dont recall seeing anything abou tthis in the OP - it might be but I didn't see it - I do know the same thing happened when flashing certain International ROMS on the Note 3
Success
I successfully installed Omega 1.2 via Custom Recovery tool, Philz Touch. I first Rooted the device, and then installed Philz, and then flashed over the Omega 1.2.
I live in Australia, and my s5 regained access to the Camera Shortcut and other features it was missing.
Also to note, all of my data and mobile data still work like a charm, so I can call and send sms without any fuss.

to those who have eu 610 and rooted in haste

Like a lot of us here, I'm not a developer but a user. Like a lot of users we can get over excited and flash and roots and so on without thinking of the consequences...
I came originally from samsung phones which in all honesty are much easier to root, flash and return to total stock. but I got the HTC 610 as a gift from my phone company. I quickly hit the forums looking for a way to unlock and root my phone and did so without making sure that there was a way to return to original stock.
I'm not blaming anyone here It was me who did it so my bad, since then I have been searching on a daily basis to find original 610 eu rom with no joy.
Now I got mine working ok but like most eu users I encountered problems, my biggest was the constant problem with play services and downloading from play store and after about 6 weeks I started having the same connection problems that almost all rooted eu users have commented on...
Last week I read an article from android police that had an apk of the new play services 6.7.7 anyway when i went to check the info on mine i noticed that mine was only 6.5 which was released all the way back in November, after some research i realised my phone wouldn't update to any other, anyway after some fiddling I got the new services installed and now all my errors have disappeared, my connections have stopped disconnecting and are working totally fine...
Now i Know a lot of you will say that this doesn't affect the connections but all i'm saying is that sometimes when one thing doesn't work it can affect other things and seeing as now I've been using this for 4 days with no problems now, so maybe its worth a try if nothing else...
here is the link to the page and please read it carefully

it is but sadly i didn't make a back up of the original firmware as it was before it was rooted I kind of got ahead of myself and flashed everything in one post... only reason I didn't make a back up was because it was new out of the box so I didn't have any personal data to lose... now I'm using a stock Asian rom that was posted by mini blu on another thread... after some tweaking I've got it working fine now...
shame if i can get a proper eu dump even with root i can make a non rooted stock package
thats the problem
coming from samsung its really easy to get original firmware so i just assumed that the same would be with htc... oh well lesson learned...
htc used to be fine too, they just started being problematic here in the EU, in the states the RUU is clearly available for anyone to download, asking for a european version over live chat got my IP blocked from HTC support as "suspicious"

I contacted HTC US and they advised me to contact HTC Croatia (which I'm from). Then I contacted HTC Croatia and they said (after having no clue what I'm talking about, sending me links to kernel source and how to unlock my bootloader) I should contact authorized service of HTC in Croatia. Authorized HTC service told me that they don't have that file and pointed me to HTC Croatia... Maybe it's better that I didn't get any answer at all.

[HIMA][AT&T] Stock Rooted Dev Edition Rom [1.32.617.30] [7/5/2015]

Hello Ladies and Gents,
I threw together a flashable rom based off the newest update for the m9 dev edition.
This runs perfectly on the regular AT&T Variant since they are the same hardware just have minor differences.
Rom Features
-1.32.617.30 base (reverted to the old base because of calling issues)
-Odex'd (not sure why HTC still does it since ART doesn't need it)
-Rooted with SuperSU
-BusyBox
Download
I might do a little cleaning up (removing boot sound and some other stuff) let me know if you'd be interested in that.

How do you flash this? Is this possible to flash with S-on??
This uses a "camera-fix" base - if I flash it to my non-camerafix-ota'ed AT&T M9, will I effectively have a camera-fixed phone and be able to skip the OTA? Or does the OTA fix lower level firmware images of the camera, etc? What would happen if I flashed this on my non-ota'ed 1.32.401.15 phone?

Flash via twrp and you'll be fine, it might give a message about not being able to mount /system but that's a normal thing because the system is read only.
It will work with s-on because its just the system and boot partitions, OTAs won't work on it though obviously.
The North American unlocked and developer editions are the same as our phone just different firmware.

Someone needs to check and see if VoLTE works with the Developer Edition, on the M8 it did not work... Just a thought. since ATT builds are differently configured thought id throw that out there for those in a VoLTE area.

This thing had a nasty battery leecher that according to battery usage under settings was from wifi calling which would never activate even though it would switch on and locate me. I froze the service/app and thought i got rid of the problem... Still there so i ended up reflashing the entire rom and running ##rtn# to reset everything. Now it works so far...

This most definitely does NOT work on ZVC

Verizon G3 Stock 6.0 Marshmallow Update (VS98546A)

I received the 6.0 update tonight. ~788MB download and 20 minute install.
Things I noticed differently:
-Response and fluidity seem better, might be due to it clearing the app cache
-Notification bar is smaller, this is a plus for me
-Messages in the message app are smaller, this is a big plus for me
-Everything LG wise has a more flat material design to it. Looks better than before but still iffy
Will update in the future about the battery usage.

1 of your pics says modified, did you already root it?
Any link kdz ??
Wow... can't believe the VS985 already has official MM coming this quickly. That's so unlike Verizon to get updates out this quickly.
I'm also shocked that VZW released it so early. I'll be waiting for a KDZ so I can upgrade the G3.

Yeah, if you DID root it, how? Curious because I need to keep root for TiBu.
Oh and @snoop5 also posted a link to an article from Android Authority stating the VS985 6.0 is being pushed out.

Thanks!
Still the same terrible signal and WiFi icons, huh?

I did not. I was rooted versions ago, that was taken away with the 5.1.1 update, but it kept the 'modified' status.
I can look into root for it. The link Bradg24 posted helps. I'll see if I can get recovery on the phone in an easy way.

Rooting a stock ROM, and having a version of SuperSU that will work on it are two different things. That's not a root method unless you:
1. Already have root/TWRP.
2. Have the new ROM as a flashable zip.
If so, then after flashing the ROM then you can flash SuperSU.zip.
This isn't what people are looking for when they're looking for a "root method".

@2kool4u526 can you test the auto brightness on this release? On 35B in a dim room the built-in auto brightness made the screen too dark to be useable, although using Lux Lite from the Play Store rectified that.
Thanks for the info.

You'll have to get root before you can attempt to install TWRP. Keep in mind if it screws up your boot with a secure boot error, you might not be able to fix it until they release a KDZ for 46A, if 46A's Download Mode doesn't allow flashing older KDZs, just as 35B's didn't.

Too bad it's not like Samsung with being able to flash a custom recovery via USB through Odin on a PC, at least that's how it used to be with Samsung before Knox - now I don't know.
I've tried looking into if it's possible to build our own KDZ but I never got anywhere. Since there are tools to extract them there must be a way of building them, although they might contain some kind of manufacturer signature to confirm they're official when flashing them.
Wi-Fi Calling?
Can anyone confirm/deny if this version has any WiFi calling capabilities? I know Verizon rolled out this capability for the S6 and said they were going to update other Android handsets in 2016.
Long shot, but I figured I would put it out there...
do we even have any devs working on stock verizon ports anymore? i thought holyangel and hasbadr stopped working on this device

Define "anymore". @hsbadr , @HolyAngel and @xdabbeb all released 35B-based ROMs, and the only one of those three who's phone situation changed since then is @HolyAngel 's.
Before the KDZ is available (or rooting a stock build of the OTA at a minimum) it's too early to find out if anyone will release a ROM based on it. Heck, if no one else did by some miracle, I would, based on what I learned from @hsbadr and @xdabbeb.
Only those three devs might know if they would update their ROMs, and we shouldn't ask them. Either they will or they won't depending on if they feel like it.
(I know you weren't asking them so please don't get upset)
i know hsbadr didn't have the phone anymore when he did 35b.
Really hoping we can get a Jasmine update for MM, I mean maybe someone can make a poll showing how much demand for one there would be?
Yeah idk if I'll be supporting it or not at this time, at the least need kdz or system dump.
