[APP][FIX]SGS Touchscreen Booster-No more missing taps or touchscreen response delay - G4 Themes and Apps

*If at all possible please donate to the person that made it possible, you can pay via PayPal within the app*
No root required. I was able to install app from the Playstore, disregard that it mentions a Samsung phone. This website pretty much advises what settings to use and all.
Works in the meanwhile until an official fix is released for all of us G4 owners. Night and day difference.
You don't have to use the specific settings in the website, I've found some values myself that have worked well but it's a good starting point.
1.) Enable parameters
2.) Don't forget within the app to 'start service on boot'
3.) Reboot phone and enjoy a better phone experience

Thanks for posting this app. I definitely see a difference right away. Just curious as to what settings you've found to be optimal. Much appreciated.

*Edit - My settings now uploaded on OP
Will post them here once I turn on my device, just installed my Skinomi Tech Glass and I'd prefer to let it settle fully on the screen before I go around using it again.
You're welcome and thanks for posting [emoji106]
That's what we are here for to help if we can, the xda community is comparable to none.
There will always be someone unfortunately bringing negativity on here, but I choose to ignore them at all costs.

You're welcome, that's what most people are here for.
To share the knowledge and fix issues. The good thing about the G4 is this is easily remedied if you use the app with the correct settings.

Thanks for this! Does the app have an impact on battery comsumption?

You're welcome.
I have not noticed a difference in battery consumption, the benefits of installing this will pretty much fix any issues you might be having with the phone.
Can't believe it was as easy as finding the right settings and setting it on boot to fix the problem.
Thanks to other members here I was able to notice there was a problem in the 1st place before I found the solution.
Your results may vary.

Thanks for posting this. I just wanted to chime in and say that I haven't experienced any problems with touchscreen responsiveness, but I installed this anyway and used the settings from the OP. I can't say that I've noticed any difference really. My point is that this definitely isn't an issue that affects all G4's.

You have made my experience of owning the Droid Eris a fantastic one. You guys (and perhaps gals) have shown alot of support and devoition. Once again Thank you!

Aye, they never once gave up on rooting the 1.49, even when it seemed all hope was lost.
THANKS!!! (and a little something)
`mods, you beat me to it. I was just thinking how there needed to be a thread where users can say there thanks to all the devs, testers, and mods out there. I can't tell you how happy I am to be able to modify my phone as I please. I love to tinker with things, make them better and to make them ME.
Also, I just want to stress the importance of SEARCHING AND READING!!!! I made the mistake early on of just either creating a new thread or posting in the wrong thread just so I wouldn't have to read to find the answer. THAT WAS FREAKIN STUPID ON MY PART!!! I wish I would have just read up on everything I wanted to know in the beginning. I would have saved myself a ton of headaches and resets. I would have also learned more than what I know now. I now know that if I want to ask a question, to just search for it first. I can't count the times that someone else has asked the same questions that have been answered countless times. And if I'm wanting to try a script, or change my lock screen or something along those lines, IT HELPS TO READ ALL OF THE POSTS IN THAT PARTICULAR THREAD particularly because most likely, someone with your setup has encountered some sort of problem, did some troubleshooting, and posted a fix for it.
Anyway, I'll get off my box. I mainly wanted to say thanks, but also try to save some headaches.
THANKS!!!!

[Q] Observed Differences Between OLYFR_U4_1.2.6 & OLYFR_U4_1.5.2?

I know there was a thread already posted with a similar topic (here), but I figured since a few days had passed since the 1.5.2 SBF was leaked, people might have some additional observations...so a thread for people to give their feedback might be helpful.
As far as what I've noticed:
#1: No more weird dimming issues when the phone goes to sleep.
I'd noticed on 1.2.6 that when my screen was in the process of turning off, it would dim...then get super bright again before shutting off. 1.5.2 seems to have resolved that issue.
#2: More detailed "Battery Usage" screen.
On 1.2.6, I'd usually only see 5-6 items listed and what percentage of the battery they used. Now though, I typically get something like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I don't recall seeing individual applications being listed before 1.5.2, even on my Captivate.
So...anybody else with any noteworthy observations/changes they've seen?

Hahaha; my apartment is a black hole for cellular service. My Dad and sister both have Verizon and they have to go outside to make calls.
Thankfully I'm moving next month and actually get 3G/H+/whatever the eff they're calling it in my new place.

[Q] Android OD Battery Drain .. is this normal?

Hi everybody,
I noticed a huge battery drain in my SGS2, so I switched the screen to the lowest brightness as I though it is the reason .. but after a day of observation I got this figures

I don't really get it. So you're getting 23 hours but 81% Android OS. Did you only showed black pixels or what? Even at lowest I don't get that.
BTW, you can take screenshots by pressing home + power button. No need for third party apps .
So instead of having a look at the threads on this forums you made a thread for yourself? Smart.
There's already a massive thread on this topic.

Its just show that, as a matter of fact .. if i browsed the net or played with any app it will drain within 90 minutes.
and thanks for the screen-capture tip,
There seems to be a bug with KE2 on the SG2.
But Im not sure how long the battery lasts then and how it looks like. But it could be that

You dont need to do a search, it's been on the first page of the general forums for the last two weeks so you don't need to do a search just use your eyes.
I can sympathies with your situation because I have same problem, but please read through the threads made before making comments.

Request Photo Editor.apk

For some reason I don't have this on my current ROM. Can someone hook me up? I don't have the option to edit images within the gallery.apk so I'm assuming is because this is missing...

well for starters you might want to tell people what rom your on and which apk you talking about there are alot of photo editors
Its the stock photo editor. While in Gallery you can edit the photo with the s pen...
I'm on the objective ROM, but that shouldn't make any difference in this instance.

Got me?

What you might be looking for is PhotoRetouching.apk. And it should be in system/app
For future reference it does matter what ROM. You should be able to pull it yourself from another ROM like flappjaxxx's base or the OnlyOne.

I know it matters what ROM I'm using, that's why I said for this instance it doesn't matter. I have that app installed but still no editing like before...even reinstalled it. No difference...

True.. this site has went down a bit as far as friendliness and people being helpful.. Everybody wants to pretend they know it all and bash people for asking questions.. This site was totally different when I got my Droid X July 2009 or 2010...

I'm a relative newbie at this, but after several frustrating days of trying various options, unsuccessfully, I appear to finally have root. I took pieces and parts from various options and it seems to have worked. I have had stable root through complete battery depletion, recharge, and restart. So far so good...
well my apologies for my not replying sooner my family come first . The root on second start power up failed.
Would you be willing to post a guide? And is it just root or bootloader unlock also?

I have some things going on with a veterans website I'm setting up so I haven't had a lot of time for anything else.
As I said I'm new to all this and some of it I'm not sure what exactly I did. Now I'm trying to figure it out myself. But I will give you what info I can soon. Thanks for your patience and interest.
It's crazy how much different stuff I loaded onto my phone to get it done. LOL
Any updates yet
It's pretty much unlocked boot-loader or bust at this point.
