Hi,
I have CyanogenMod version 12.1 (android 5.1) in my S3.
I can't sync my calendar. When I go to the app it asks me to login to my account (screenshoot attached) but when I enter my email it says the phone already has that account. In fact, I already have my account (you can see the screenshoot) but there is no entry for the calendar. I don't know what is causing this and how to solve it. Anyone has this problem?

Try downloading the latest Google calendar from play store or an alternative calendar. I personally use acalender+ tasks from play store.

Hey,
I have two issues and two questions regarding them......
1) I would like to sync the Tasks app. with Google however I do not see Google in the Sync Task profile only my Samsung account.
2) I'd like to sync the Memo app. with Google. It says that I'm not logged in to Google Docs however when I put both my email and password in the login tab does not light up, if I use a different email address it does.
As an added note I also declined a popup from Google about permissions to see what would happen. The window disappeared and nothing did happen!..... At least thats what I thought till now! Not sure how to undo that and suspect that's the problem!
I have also tried to remove my Google account, this only seems possible if you hard reset-which would have to be a last resort for me. I've also been on to my Gmail and Google docs setting via P.C. and am unable to find any setting there that would be affecting these issues.
Any Ideas on how to fix this?
I also have this problem and can not solve it.
I have google docs installed on my phone, but the e-mail address which is registered does not end with gmail.com but a different domain. I can use google docs without a problem but I can not login inside Memo to sync it with my google account.
Any ideas?

Is very good (I use it a lot)... But doesn't solve the sync of Memo... Any recommendations?
i use document to go for google doc... they work fantastic!
Since there's still no way to sync memo with google, i just use Simple Notepad. Color note sounds good too, it supports online back up and sync but haven't try it yet ...

Thanks for the information. But since the Tasks is already available for TouchWiz, I would rather use the built in Tasks app. I think the only way is to configure the Gmail Account as an Exchange ActiveSync account. There is a sample configuration for that in the Internet.
Sorry, you mean Task or Notes is on TouchWiz?
Also, can you post the "There is a sample configuration" you mention?

I searched google and on here and cant find anything with out doing a custom rom which I don't want to do.
I have my phone rooted, but cant seem to find a way to get rid of the preloaded at&t contacts. Is there a work around on this? Thanks in advance.
I don't think there is any other choice that doing a custom rom to get rid of the att contacts. You can try disabling the contacts from setting, applications, all, and the click on contacts then disable. This is all I can think of. Good luck!

Well i did have an idea of maybe using titanium backup and deleting the contacts apk then reinstalling it as the app only with out the data. I don't know if the AT&T contacts are built into the app or not though.
Edit: tried this and didn't work.

The workaround would be to hide them. I sync my contacts to my Google account so this is what works for me......
Press the phone button and click the contacts tab
Press the menu button and click "contacts to display"
Click the account listed that pertains to your google account, obvioiusly it'll have the Google logo in front of it.

Hello everyone. Me and my few friends in Pakistan are facing gmail sync issues. The sync is not working and hence the updated emails are not showing. Is this just me or others are facing the same issue? The youtube is being blocked over here so does it has to do something with gmail app?

what about push messaging in other applications like facebook messenger? is it working? what you can do is go to settings >applications manager> all applications> gmail and clear cache and data . or in the worst case you can go to settings >accounts> Google and remove account . after that log in again using the same account .these steps should solve your problem

Cleared cache and data, no use. It says waiting for sync but email not picking up. I guess it is a server issue with our region.

hello ,I suggest you to do it again the secont that you recommended jaidev.s (go to settings >accounts> Google and remove account . after that log in again using the same account )
synchronizer will work once all , I've tried too many times , currently does not recognize Account on play store ,after the above everything was okay...
Google had problems earlier on today with servers, so may be linked to that?

I finally got mine working:
What I think got it to work was going into System Settings/Data Usage then hit the menu button and make sure Auto-Sync data is checked on.
Then I went to Apps/All/Email/Force Stop/Clear Data
Then I Added the Account back in and it worked!!
Just in case, I had also previously done the following (but unsuccessful until I did the above):
I've updated the ROM, removed/re-added accounts, updated GAPPS, Revoked access/Signing in again in Google/Account/Authorizing Applications

It was linked for example at: zippyshare(dot)com.

I tried a wipe cache, uninstall apps and install again. Sadly it doesn't work.

had same issues.. only happen when i used the huawei clone tool and transfer data from samsung s7 .. probly got some bad settings transfered.. even tried factory reset 3 times...
try not to use clone tool or any import to check if its same for you

I didn't use clone tool or any import app...
It’s a google Oreo issue. Search on Oreo contacts sync error. Workaround is to remove the url on contacts synced via google+.
Unless the above is something else.

I have the same thing. Even with no contacts in my phone. Calendar isn't syncing too. Tried clearing cache of apps but no luck yet. Keep getting sync is experiencing problems it will be back shortly. Very annoying. Switched from 6p yesterday, never had a problem with sync.

Yeah same here...
Didn't solve problem yet.
Got mine to sync finaly, i disabled google playservices. Now it syncs but wants to update the playservices.
Edit: after updating playservices it still syncs

Tried... Always sync problem with detailed contacts.
Moreover, seems not always sync properly "contacts".
Anyway, i imported manually contacts.

With the last update, I can't associate my Gmail account.
It only works with the initial version of maps installed on my phone...
Any idea???
Edit : ok now! Had to erase my account and all data from all gapps reboot and add my account again.
Oreo pissed me off ?
I erased all my accounts in Google in accountsgoole. Com. with just emailadresses. Maybe that helped too

Did you try to wipe cache the apps or wipe cache with button - power + vol up ?

Well, not really - but that's because when I try to wipe it, an error occurs saying that the software reboot failed. Just after the EMUI logo appears.
