If it requires more time to charge it's because has more battery. Anyway it depends mainly on use mA that the battery is capable of draining when charging.

It will need approximately 3.5 hours for full charge. the K10000 soon will be available for purchase, more info here.

I don't know if I did right thing, but I just ordered this phone from this shop: http://www.gearbest.com/cell-phones/pp_204428.html

I couldn't see yet the complete specifications, for example if has optical image stabilization, is has infrared port, barometer, radio through earphones, etc. Also no idea how warranty will be managed depending on the country you live in.

i am really starting to like this phone. mainly because of the battery. but i am still a bit on the fence about those mediatek SoC's they put in them. how much effort is there to make our own ROM's for this thing? epecially for removing all the chinese junk, rooting and making it as vanilla android as possible?

Not only that, I wonder if even has optical / digital image stabilization for taking pictures. Why best smartphone manufacturers don't do this kind of phone?

some phones if they are popular, then there is always custom ROMs etc... also lately I did not saw some many chinese junk... they are coming more or less clean.
about optical / digital image stabilization, they have not yet reached this level

There's another rival for the Oukitel K10000: the Ulefone Power. It has a little less battery (6200 mAh instead of 10000) but the rest of the hardware is better.

The specs are everywhere right? Not the exact, but still almost a crude idea of what we will be getting in OP2 is out there on the net..The biggest leak that has yet come is that its going to come with snapdragon 810 v2.0(well,thats what they are calling it!). Its said its an undrclcked one. Hope it comes out well. And then the latest news is that OP2 will be the first phone to come out with C Port!! More news maybe leaked soon enuf since its about time that OP2 will be launched(almost in august)..
Lets hope for the best !
Any idea when's the release?
My small wishlist includes no capacitive buttons and a larger screen to fill that space, like a Note 4 or Nexus 6. If 1+2 has at least 5.5" and QHD it's coming home with me. Bonus if it's waterproof.

I wonder if OP2 will have heating issues with the new 2.1 chipset Snapdragon 810 that is designed to ease the heat issue and improve performance.

Exactly my concern.. I read somewhere that Mi5 will be opting for 811 chip.
the guys in OP2 said they tested and fixed all overheating issues. We just gotta see if it's true what they say

yes.. They have told us its a new 810 chipset wch they say doesnt have heating issues. Hope it comes out like that. Also there as another news that it is been underclockd to reduce the heating issue.. Lets see what comes out tomorrow !
Here is my wish list:
1. as little bezel as possible - LG status please
2. front facing speaker(s) - doesn't have to be stereo just facing our ears please
3. massive battery - 3500-3900 depending on the screen type
4. waterproof/resistant
5. fingerprint sensor - put it on the back to keep the bezeless design
6. wireless charging
7. decent price (still lower than competition)
8. good camera
9. and oh yeah A WAY TO ORDER IT WITHOUT HAVING TO WIN THE FREAKING LOTTERY
Would be a dream, 2k res and proc is already a given... but I don't care as much 1080 p is fine with me for battery reasons
USB type C - what difference does this bring to the smartphone compared to the micro USB? (apart from speed)
I understand for a laptop as it can charge it, but with the micro usb, I can already charge my device.

Big advantage faster charge and faster data transfers. Also I like the reversible factor. Read more here http://mobile.extremetech.com/latest/222529-usb-c-vs-usb-3-dot-1-whats-the-difference?origref=

I think the 4GB of RAM is just... Wow. Seems only yesterday they were trumpeting the Nexus 4 with 2GB of RAM
You can never be too trustful of rumors but supposedly it will be marketed at the same cost as the original with the invite only system in place again
Snapdragon 810 v2.1
4GB RAM
OxygenOS (Lollipop 5.1)
Maybe a fingerprint reader but that's quite doubtful
And USB-Type C charging is confirmed
The first phone with USB-Type C
I am also curious about it. But it is really hard to say.
I personally would prefer 4g ram and full hd

RMN2 Hard Brick, CM12.1

Hey devs,
for about 3 weeks I have been a proud owner of the RMN2 Prime until yesterday, when it suddenly turned off and died.
When I got the phone I started skinning it down with jaik's custom boot image and also cleaned it from unused apps. So far so good.
Now, some days ago I decided to switch over to danielpinto's CM12.1 , which is really awesome compared to MIUI. No problems either.
I also installed Greenify and Disable services to get rid of some battery hogs.
Yesterday, I was out of home whole day, had minimal standby battery drain, but really massive battery drop when recording a video (~50% to 25% in about 2min).
Put it in my pocket, and 10 min later it didn't turn on again. I thought it would be the battery, but apparently it's bricked. No charge LED, no PC recognition, nothing...
I tried to unbrick it via SP tool and some really unconvenient tutorials, but nothing worked. I guess I installed all needed drivers now, but SP tool doesn't show any reaction in the progress bar (the coloured bar at the bottom...I don't get ANY colour, nothing starts when I click the download button).
What to do?
The RMN2 is a pretty good phone IMO, but now also my first bricked one. I would be extremly graceful if some experienced xda devs could help me with this as I'm really desperated.
I'm from Europe and ordering a new one (if I'd need to) would take some weeks from now.
If so, have you any suggestions on which device might be a better choice? It should be in the same price range though.
Thanks for reading!
Best regards
If it is broken.... I guess new phone can be redmi note 3 pro.
Only thing I can think of is trying with a new battery.. (something must be wrong with it if it drained that quickly).
Thanks for your replies!

The extra features of the 3 pro are not really attractive for me. I've found the Elephone P9000 Lite today and I think this might be great alternative. Or I give the RMN2 another chance. Not sure on this yet...

Wouldn't it be less costly to first spend 10$ on a new battery before buying a new phone? In regards to a new phone, I'd chose a Snapdragon 650 powered RN3 w/ a 4k mAh battery over the Elephone P9000 Lite any day of the week. My brother has one and it's an amazing phone. Of course it all depends of what you find important in a phone. What makes you go for the Elephone?

Really appreciate your thoughts, man!
If I could be sure that it was a battery problem I would of course buy a new one. But it really appears to be a hard brick (I tested it with the battery removed and the phone directly plugged to the charger -> no LED, no reaction) Also the PC can't recognise it anymore.
The RN3 might surely be a nice phone, but for me the fingerprint, slithly faster performance and the battery are not worth 60€ more.
I just stumbled over the P9000 Lite yesterday and it seems to have everything the RN2 has + more RAM, LTE band 20 and Marshmallow. Negative is the small xda community for it...
And today I just found Ulefone! Geez, almost the same company name, but whole different stuff...there are way too many china phones out there!
The Elephone is down for a Ulefone Power or Ulefone Vienna.
Any thoughts?
Btw FYI, my preferences would be:
- at least 3000mAH
- 5.5 inch FHD
- Android 6 (or via update) + maybe chance for N if it's not asked too much
- at least 2Gb RAM, processor level of RN2 would be sufficient
- I don't care about the camera quality at all
- less than ~180€
Does the phone vibrate when you plug it to the charger without the battery?

I got it from Gearbest and it's still in their 45 days warranty. I'll probably try to ask for a refund and order a new RN2.
Sending it back, fixing it, then sending it back to me would last monthes...
So I'll order a new one today or tomorrow, I'm just undecided between Ulefone Power or RN2.

Djeeeeeeeeeeeez thx a lot!! You've made me look at that Elephone P9000 Lite, then at that Ulefone Power (looks awesome w/ wooden back!) and now i'm considering passing on my RN2 to a family member and going on a spending spree (again) I wouldn't personally go for the Ulefone Power because of it's less than great MT6753 processor, 16GB (only) storage and Ulefone's custom ROM (planned upgrade to MM, but yeah don't think it'll get N).
I'm actually moving to China in a couple of weeks and one of the first things I'll do when I get there is go have a look at the Umi Super. Check out these specs:
- SHARP 2.5D 5.5 FHD display (Gorilla glass 3)
- Mediatek P10 (MT6755) @ 2.0GHz
- SAMSUNG 32GB eMMC 5.1 ROM
- SAMSUNG LPDDR3 4GB RAM
- SONY 4000 mAh battery
- PANASONIC 13MP dual flash camera
- TYPE-C USB / SD card up to 256GB / Fingerprint sensor / Dual SIM (shared 2nd slot w/ SD)
And when you thought it couldn't get any better, it comes with stock Android 6.0 (yes you've read that right!! it's a Nexus!!!!! ) and Umi offers a ROM flashing tool (Rootjoy) on their website and the tool allows you to flash a MIUI, VIBE, EMUI or LEWA ROM, made for the Super, to the phone
That is one hell of a crazy phone! Now I know in your requirements it says "less than 180e" and there is a time limited offer on Umi's homepage to get it for 179.99$ (not sure about shipping fees). Anyway, I'm gonna get it even if I need to shell the normal 249.99$ price for it (it's more than worth it if you look at the top class components they've chosen for the Super). So screw the idea of repairing your RN2, throw it in the bin (or put it up on eBay) and get that unibody aluminium one

Damn it, now there are 3 devices to choose from
The RN2 has a strong community, but bad battery..
the Ulefone Power has...ehm...power and MM, but is unhandy and has no community..
and the UMI Super sounds awesome, but has even less community and it will take monthes til it would be here with me!
Do you have a link to the 180 bucks offer? found it
And are you in anyway paid by UMI by chance?
EDIT: Ok, somehow got hooked by the Super Now the only question is where to get it fast and cheap

Not in any way., I only found out about Umi at 2am last night when I was still looking at the newer China phones xD You can go on their website and click on the Super promo on the homepage (Snap now) and it will show you all the supported resellers (Gearbest and alike + 1 shop on Aliexpress/eBay). The Aliexpress shop (Deal Home) seems to be the only one having stock already (there's a certificate signed by a Umi representative stating that Deal Home has the First launch exclusivity) and all the other shops won't be sending anything out before June 20th. I've taken a look at their flash sale system. First, you need to register for the coupon (which they mail every Wednesday to the lucky first ones) and then you need to wait on a flash sale day (there was one on May 23rd and the next one, which we'll miss obviously, is on May 31th). Only on those days, and at the following hours: 00:00, 03:00, 06:00, 18:00 and 21:00, can you get one for 179$. The 179$ phones will be shipped out after 7 days according to the shop. So this system 1) scks and 2) is not as speedy as we like.
But there's a second option. You can buy it in a presale (right now) w/o the flash sale crap for 219.99$ on Deal Home (there's a 10$ seller discount as well) and according to them, those phones get shipped out "24~48h after test well". Thing is, I'm not sure how true that all is since in the shipping option, it mentions "ships out within 28 business days" (but that might be a default aliexpress thing). I'd just contact the shop and ask how quickly you can get it (or the item is being shipped out) if you take the 209.99$ one. They have 81 gray ones and 97 golden ones left.
It is true that the dev community is pretty small, but how much of it do you need if they offer a stock ROM by default (w/ possibility of root, xposed, etc.) and many alternative ROMS as an option? The only thing they might not do (but that's the same for every other Android vendor) is to offer an upgrade to Android N. I checked their forum a bit and at least they're being honest and clear about it when and why one of their devices isn't being updated to a new Android version.
I just had a first look at the sellers today and at the moment they all sell them for about 190€ - 200€, which is still okay for me (especially compared to the RN3). That is efox, tomtop, Banggood and Gearbest. Aliexpress' Deal Home unfortunately doesn't ship to my country. But I saw that Gearbest also has this kind of flash sale on special days of the week.
They all seem to deliver from mid to end of June plus the shipping time itself. So it will be here in mid July at the earliest...

In the meantime I ordered the UMI Super for 164€. I'm really excited, but have to wait until July at least, as it will be shipped from 25th June at the earliest -.-
And now I'm already wondering if I should send the Super right back to GearBest and buy a Vernee Apollo Lite.
I thought the Super would be the best of the best for this price atm, but when you see the Apollo Lite....
- Helio X20 Deca core (Antutu >90000)
- IGZO display that seems to be really power efficient
- better camera with better focus
and Vernee is said to get a lot of hours out of a 3000mAH battery. While the 4000mAH of the Umi might not hold what they promise...
I'm not really into the fastest processor available as you won't feel a big differnece in daily use anyway, but it still seems to be a better package overall.
Price ~200€, ~230$ pre-sale
I ordered aswell they working on the battery like the last update. Waiting for root =(

Little update and a question:
I'm currently pretty happy with the UMI Super. All I wish for is DTTW and a Wifi fix, but all in all a really decent device for that price.
Regarding the RMN 2:
It's a real shame that I cant revive it...so dead...yet so beautiful
I disassembled it and tried the test point method as a last resort, but I can't identify the test points.
Anyone knows where they are?
I googled, but to no avail...
Thanks everyone!

Its a knockoff so its probably poorly optimized so it will probably be very slow.
Arobase40 said:
Vernee like most Chinese smartphone manufacturers doesn't have any specific budget for paying international patents or specific design (including Xiaomi) so they can "share or borrow" their ressources one another including the mold... ^^
The SOC is based on Mediatek, so cheaper than Qualcomm and the phone is sold mainly on the Chinese domestic market with no international after sale services !
If you have any hardware problems, you'll have to send the device back to China, wait for some weeks and you'll most probably have to pay for shipping fees back and forth.
When you see the trouble to get official updates from Huawei, I don't think you can expect any regular updates from Vernee or any other Chinese manufacturers.

Then get it right away. (Just so you know, no root method has been released for those with locked bootloaders.)

Okay thank you for this conversation
Yeah, I'd say this is a great phone, unmodified or modified. I was worried at first that the module design would make it fragile, but mine took a long tumble in a clothes dryer and the modules still lock perfectly. The glass has no visible scratches. The stock ROM is the best, most customizable stock ROM I've ever used. The Kryo chipset is still very advanced. Many newer phones are taking a step backwards with their chipset and other specs, which makes me want to return to the G5 again if I lose mine.
hi i'm also a moroccan and i recommand the lg g5 but you must be careful you now we live in morocco , but it's a great phone
if you want more information you can ask every thing you want
Not all models have FM radio
I've had my G5 since Oct. 2016 and haven't seen any newer phones I'd prefer. Be aware that not all G5 models (RS988, e.g.) have FM radio.
i would´t recommend this phone. The GPS issue is really annoying, bootloader impossible to unlock makes the device unrooteable, and the update frecuency is horrible.
I want to change it for another phone already.

Never had problems with GPS.
Yeah, locked bootloader is a problem for people who prefer rooted device with magisk & other tweaks. Either way, device is good even without root.
I do, however, agree that frequency of updates is horrible for almost any variant of LG G5.

My H860 received the November security update over a month from now, and received android N October- early November 2016. (Which is very good). However, android Oreo is scheduled for Mid 2018 ?
Using LG G5 RS988 since OCT2017... And going fine.

If you don't depends on GPS alot and don't mind image retention (ghosting), this is a fantastic phone, the most feature packed phone I ever owned. BTW, at what price is he offering you it?

I use LG G5 dual H860 and what you said it's right. However this phone is my biggest disappointment since i had my first smartphone.
Image retention can be hid "temporarily" using application called SFILTER in Google play (the opacity must be at 30%). The main idea of this application is to hide the ghosting image but it will appear again if you uninstall it (tried several blue light filter apps and this one worked to remove ghosting image).
The worst defect in LG G5 is the bad power management. I could not see my battery charging while i was using the phone at the same time. I had to leave it charged without using it if i want my battery full (i used 2.4A charger which should be enough).
GPS sucks. I have no other words to describe it.
Other than what i mentioned above, everything is nearly flawless, especially to play games with high definition graphic. Thanks to the advanced GPU, Adreno 530.
I sold my samsung s7 and got a used lg g5 at half of the price s7 was sold. Despite the lack of wireless charging (which I solved by using nillkin's magic tags) and the cardio/stress/O2 meter I am really very pleased with the overall performance and quality of this specific device i 've got, tbh it's surprisingly faster than the s7 (with better camera also) and very close to my s8 in terms of response and fluidity. I am not major fan of customizations, since in the past most i have tried caused mostly sideeffects in each device tested (of course there are also some that work really well), and always prefer to have some warranty as backup. I hope not to sound biazed, i really try to be as neutral as possible always from my personal point of view.
As of this morning, the LG g5 (mine, anyway) is still better than 83% of all other phones in terms of gaming power and performance. This one's running Fulmics, bootloader is unlocked. I bought it new on eBay for 147.00 us. It's about a month old. I think it's still worth it to buy an LG g5.
I think you can try the Tecno Spark 7P. It has a triple camera setup which is actually really good and not to forget the mediatek chipset, satisfactory for gaming. Overall, I think we got a decent device here.

Question Is this a bad phone?

Hi.
I really tempted by this phone but I see a few threads were people are having issues. These are bad battery, bad screens, bad fingerprint reader, overheating.
I see that the New Edition is out now. I wonder if this is an admission from Xiaomi that the original was flawed.
The original is now £329 and will soon be OS and the NE is £399.
Would it be crazy to buy the original now?

Hello!
Personally, i like this phone.
I think his design is really cool looking, and the battery life is AMAZING.
Personally, i'm using the Pixel Experience ROM with android 11, because the 12 is in alpha, and battery sucks with it on my phone.
The display isn't that bad, but there is a post already talking about the fact that there is two types of screen. Please, take that in consideration before purchasing!
The photo quality isn't that bad either, but, my friend having a Pixel 4a makes better photos than that. You may even be able to get a Pixel 5 for cheap, nowdays.
I don't know anything about the "NE" model that has been released by Xiaomi, but maybe it has a better camera and battery. You may check review on the web.
By the way, never had bad fingerprint reader issues, and no overheat even in the worst case cenarios. Battery maximum was at 32°C.

Quick question, how much of SOT do you usually have with your Pixel experience ROM?

Yes, sometimes it is slippery so I wrapped it with carbon fiber skin and now it gives me a good grip.

I customized the phone full-back with black carbon fiber and the camera with black grunge. I shared a link for you but Moderator removed it so check out some customization you like too.

Instead of the original one, you can buy the new 11 Lite NE 5G which is better in all aspects. I'm using it for a month now and it is smooth compared to the old one, also the performance is good.

The NE is the exact same phone relaunched with a less powerful SoC - 778G instead of 780G - in response to global chipset shortages. The real-world performance difference is negligible (for graphics intensive tasks the original 780 is superior).
