[Q] Samsung Grand Neo Plus (gt-i9060i/DS) Service Mode don´t work- Force 3g - HELP!! - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys, I have a problem. I Can't get to Service Mode on my phone. I want to do that because I have to force 3g. I have read on this forum what should I do to get in on service mode.
I have a gt-i9060i /DS (grand neo plus) android 4.4.4. I'm not root now.
I've tried with *#0011 + back + key input "Q" + key input "0" and waited but nothing happened. The second screen has never appeared! (I tried that been root and then without been root and in both cases it didn't Work!)
The real problem is that I got a european phone (bought in spain) but I live in Argentina, and the 3g frecuencies are different. Here in south america we use 850/ 1900 and in europe the ones that Work are 900/ 2100.
I need your help! I'm not a programer so I really don't now how to fix it. I hope yo can help me!!

Hola.

[Q] Bricked my S3, Telcel Mexico did apply my warranty... flashing Cyanogen now safe?

(Just noticed this wasn't supposed to be the forum to post this... if a kind mod sees this thread, could you please move it to the Questions forum? Thanks in advance :3)
First thing you might want to hear: In Mexico, if you root or flash a custom ROM on your Galaxy S3, brick it, and your bootloader won't work, Telcel won't void your warranty. Why? Because the bootloader is the part that proves whether you have fumbled around your OS -- and therefore, if the bootloader doesn't work, there is no way to prove that your ROM is not stock, and in order to avoid possible lengthy legal action, they just fix it without saying a word.
For any paisano who might be googling in Spanish: En México, si rooteas o cargas una ROM custom en tu Galaxy S3, posteriormente se queda brickeado, y el bootloader no funciona, Telcel sí hace válida la garantía.
Now that this is out of the way, here's my story...
>bought in February an international Samsung Galaxy S3 from Telcel, Mexico
>ran on rooted stock ROM for about 6 months, eMMC Check says I have the bad sudden death chipset
>one day, I declare that the stock ROM has run its course and flash CM 9.1 stable, during the whole time I forget that I have the bad chipset
>everything runs fine for 24 hours
>then I decide to install Whatsapp, Cyanogen freezes on initial set up (after receiving the confirmation SMS and setting my display name, before actually getting the chats screen)
>after the fourth reboot, Cyanogen won't start anymore
>I go to recovery and clear the cache
>recovery freezes too
>spend about 2 hours trying to make it work with Odin on download mode
>find out the PIT was missing, find one online and try to flash it
>it won't, the internet says this means my Galaxy S3 is now officially bricked
>submit it to Telcel to have it fixed
>one week later, it's fixed
>eMMC now says I have the good chipset
eMMC Check now says I have a Type 016G92 chip, date 01/1997, CID 1101003031364739323094152477107d, fwrev 0x30, and that it's not a Sudden Death chip. In theory I should be good now, but I so definitely don't want to risk another brick again. Does that really, really, really means it is now safe to flash CyanogenMod 9.1 again?
Also, why did CM 9.1 freeze while doing the initial Whatsapp setup? Is there a way to prevent or fix it?
We now have CM 10.2. Anything that has a version higher than 4.1.2 is safe from SDS. CM 9 is 4.0.x so it's technically unsafe.
Anyway, your chip is good, so you won't get hit by SDS.
Thread moved to proper forum.
Lucky you
Lucky you! I just went to telcel today, they had no issue with it being rooted. However when they sent it to Samsung, they sernt it back to Telcel and said warranty was void since it was rooted and they offer to replace the system board for 7880 pesos..
I explained the Telcel technician the situation, and he agreed, so they had me write up a long letter explaining the situation and have them reconsider repairing the manifacturing flaw under warranty as it is a recogniced hardware problem.
So in about 10 days, I will find out if Samsung is going comply. I fear they won't and will use the rooted phone excuse for not replacing they flawed hardware..
My guess is that I'll end up with a non functional S3..

It all depends upon what this claimed flawed hardware is .
But Samsung are vey specific on rejecting warranty .
Your claim should be against the vendor they sold the goods not Samsung and yes Samsung rejected the claim from the vendor . But the vendor still sold you the goods and if as you say its flawed hardware then check your countries law regarding the sale of goods .

Hi Elasenta in xda-developers you need to post in english, anyway here's your request:
4shared.com/zip/NGoKSZ2f/original_lg_firmware
It's the program for the downloading and this is not my uploading, it's from a Taringa member, brayandz.
Greetings from Mexico
Hi, this ROM is free of logos of manufacturers ??
No, it's from Telcel. I think there's no rom without logos yet.
The one from yoigo (Spain) has no logos nor customization (I have LG 620r)

Ok, we know that. We´re searching for a "no logo" stock rom, that means an original rom without carrier modifications, no telcel, no iusacell, no claro, no vivo, etc ,etc. Some carriers just made few changes, the first sign of it is at startup there´s no carrier logo and only LG´s animation appear. This exist obviusly, but there´s still no links around.:good:
I've found in another forum, htcmania.com from user Fearf, the KDZ for D625 capable of root with towelroot v1.

Hi buddy!
Please, explain me somethings. That's my 6th different android.. I'm a little bit expert in change ROMS, kernel, modifications.. etc.. but that's my first time with a LG. If understood, KDZ is the name of the LG firmware, it's a full stock ROM with kernel, modem, and etc.. is it? I have the same D625 Vivo (Brazil retail), and I've rooted it with Towel V1 apk. Recently LG launched an update for us, but I can't do it cause I rooted my device. So, I'd like to reflash my stock Vivo ROM, just to update. That KDZ posted by you, is the stock Vivo ROM? And I've just read how to flash.
Ask for fimware

I'm with the same problem. I'm using a rooted Vivo ROM and I can't update. But now with the news about Lollipop, I think is better to wait for the real update.

I flashed the ROM. It's a stock D625 rom ZTO, with no operator (carrier). The only difference is that don't have VIVO bloatware. But, I was very disappointed with this phone, after 10 minutes on, it becomes slow, terrible. I sold, and got a S4.

Question Single flash light led?

Hi! Just got a new Realme GT 5G, global version.
My phone seems to have only 1 flash led working, but it looks it should have 2.
I'm coming from a Realme X2 Pro, and I can see the 2 flash leds working on that phone.
It's something wrong with my GT, or is it normal on this model?
Take care,
J
- Realme X2 Pro - Dual flash light working, both leds working, as expected.
- Realme GT 5G Global - Dual flash light not woking, only one led is working.
Can someone please let me know if the issue is only with my unit? Thanks!

My led flash works the same as yours, it seems that this is how it works.
Greetings.
Thanks. I'm in touch with Realme to check if this is OK.
Sent to get fixed, under warranty - after explaining the issue I was told to send it. Sent back with the same issue. Can anyone confirm if the phone has 2 led flash lights? Thanks!
I've talked to other GT owners, more people have the same issue. Why most people here doesn't cares about a feature of the phone not working? Does this happens only with a few units or all of them?
I'm trying to get an answer from Realme, I'll leave feedback if I get it.
They're both working, one is just stronger than the other
I've got an official answer about the led question, from the assitance office. It's in spanish, sorry, but they say it's normal behaivor.
"Tras escalar a un responsable técnico informar que los dos led que lleva el equipo no se iluminan siempre los dos. Uno de los Leds es para iluminación para enfoque en caso de necesidad y el otro es propiamente el flash.
El led de enfoque solo se enciende dependiendo del modo de cámara seleccionado y de las condiciones ambientales de luz."
