FOF6 5.1.1 Modem on CM12.1? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 5

Has anyone tried this yet? Currently on DOB1 modem.

I have it worked

Thank you. Did you notice stronger signal or anything because I lose service randomly but my wife who has an iPhone 6 does lose service in the same area?

Did you need to flash the bootloader as well?

Personally I'd flash the entire firmware then restore cm. But I'm ocd like that

I've heard about weird issues with the newest bootloader. Have they been worked out?

Flashed the full tar in odin. Make sure you do a battery pull before booting into download mode.

OK I finally got the modem FOF6 Update to work.

I flashed the of6 modem only in Odin over ob1.
Using cm12.1
I originally came from ne6, I have noticed slower lte speeds on both the ob1 and of6.
WiFi seems faster

It was fine till I downloaded Odin 1 Click download.
After that, the ohone simply won't turn on!!
Whats wrong? And What to do next?
forced download, the device is begging you to flash something.
Plug it in, odin it, and make sure you are flashing the RIGHT ROM for your device's model.

Yes, I did.
Then I downloaded Odin 1 Click, which was suppose to stock ROM it. Instead, created a new problem.

get odin 1.85, kill all kies applications running on background and plug your device (power it first).
And make sure it's charged.

Problem with NOS 3.0.2 on DNA

I was using NOS 3.0.1 with the patches for data fix and was getting steady 3g data stream. So I did a full wipe and installed 3.0.2 and can not get any data. I really like this ROM. Great job on the ROM.:good:
are you sure you dont have data? have you tried using something that requires data? I am on NOS GPE and my DNA only shows signal bars, no service type indicators(LTE, 3g, etc...)
I just flashed 3.0.2 and it works fine for me. Did you flash anything else which it?

No I am on Verizon. I am going to try another full wipe. What else do I need to wipe before install of 3.0.2

Newt posted an updated 3.0.2 a few days ago, trying flashing with that if you're no already on it.
I had the same issue and an on/off toggle of airplane mode would get it working again.
I found out the problem. It was not a Rom issue. My 4g antenna broke some how and had to get a replacement. Just moonshined it on 2.06 and getting ready to install 3.0.4 with 3.0.5 update.:good:

BEANS rom update ?

First off lets hope I have placed this in its proper place.
I believe I am running BEANs ROM on my sch-i605 galaxy note 2 Verizon.
Is it due for a update ?
Attached a screen shot of about phone section.

Yup and so is your modem. Update to Mj9. Try Alliance or kit kat leak for tw roms. Or try cm11,aokp, or pacman.

Do I have to do a full wipe to update to those newer rom choices ??

Yes, wiping is always recommended. Beans is part of the Alliance ROM network and as such has been working on this rom HERE. If you like Beans then you would like this one as well. Just follow the instructions in the thread.

Question
Do I just load the rom and gapps onto my ext SD and run twrp and flash new rom or do I have to go through the BS using Odin on my PC like the first go around ?

[Q] Mega 6.3 update problem

My friend tasked me with updating his Galaxy Mega 6.3 (i9205) to 4.4.2. I digested information, and got Odin, the USB driver and the boot image from Sammobile. Once I flash the file, everything goes well until... there is an error. This is how it looks like, am I doing something wrong with the tool? What could be causing this? I really have no idea.
EDIT: Oh yeah and the Mega is now stuck in a bootloop I can flash a custom recovery just fine. It's just this file that's a problem

Hi..try taking off the .md5 at the end of that file so it is a .tar only and try reflashing it and see if it works then..as sometimes this will correct this problem.

Nah it still fails at the same bit, thanks for trying though!
The phone just magically booted into 4.4.2... I have no idea what happened or how stable this is going to be but it's better than nothing!

I see, thank you for the advice - I will look into it later on. I don't need unlocked bootloader for that right?

Just change your region to Germany or Switzerland and check for update.

Thanks, I managed to force it through. I couldn't do it through recovery since MIUI recovery 5.0 doesn't have update option. So I did it through updater - choosing an installation package
I'm in the the UK and the update is waiting for me. Not too bothered about it tho as it's MIUI and that means for every bug fix means at least 2 new bugs.

I know what do you mean, I had same doubts. But it actually solved a lot of issues for me with images and messenger bubbles for example
