[Q] samsung p7320t - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

i have been reading this thread to update my tablet
[ROM][P7320/P7320T][JB 4.1.2] Unofficial CyanogenMod 10 [2013-12-22] "FINALLY"
from the instructions
4. put the file(s) on your sdcard.
5. start into CWM recovery (again: as described above)
6. Select "install zip from sdcard" -> "select zip from sdcard"->"signed_GTP7320T_glitschis_kernel_v_0_3.zip" and confirm selection by choosing "Yes - Install ....." to install the kernel. (reverting to stock also works this way, just choose the stock kernel zip (see 3.))

[Q] Trying to install new rom

So, i am trying to load this new ROM (the Vicious rom). I go into clockwork recovery & select install zip from sdcard, then i choose zip from sdcard, & instead of loading the new rom it says: Finding Update package, opening update package, installing update package, then it is complete....how do i get it to load the rom?
additional info:
I cannot install any ROM now, it runs through this short update process I explained above. Am I missing something that allows the rom to be loaded?
That's how roms are installed. Did you reboot after you installed the rom?
i had issues with clockwork so i used team win recovery here-- http://www.mediafire.com/?ye85b3n1f72nen3
Maybe try this one and see if it helps just put on root of sd card
make sure it is named PG05IMG.ZIP go into the bootloader
by shutting down phone rstarting by holding down volume arrow then power till it comes up in bootloader and do the update

Either you are choosing apply sdcard:update.zip accidentially instead of "install zip from sdcard" or you still have a PG05IMG on your sdcard? If you still have that img on your card, you will have to hook your phone up to your computer > boot into recovery > mounts and storage > mount sdcard > enable usb and find that IMG and delete it. Then go back do your wipes, and install zip from sdcard.
Try redownloading the ROM in case it may have been corrupted during the original download.

[HowTo] How to make your X10Mini/Pro better!

Hello XDA!
I know there has been a lot of guides for this, but I am going to explain everything very clearly, so please don't remove this thread, I am just trying to help people who don't have very much experience with Android phones.
So let's begin!
Requierments:
1. An X10Mini or X10MiniPro
2. A MicroSD card (Not necessary, a MicroSD adapter)
3. USB Cable
Step 1.
To install a custom ROM, you need to root your phone, ofc you do! So I am going to leave a link how to root your phone (made by me!)
Link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2256014
Step 2.
You need to search a ROM and a kernel, all ROM's don't require a custom kernel, but most of them do, so I will drop a list of good ROM's and kernels!
ROM's that run on stock kernel:
1.XperianBlaze (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1644846)
2.MiniCM7Pro (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1201116)
ROM's that require on a custom kernel:
1.MiniCM7, MiniCM9, MiniCM10 (https://code.google.com/p/minicm/)
2.GingerDX (http://x10miniandpro.blogspot.com/2012/08/gingerdx-v028b-070812.html)
3.XperiaBlaze (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1644846)
4.Slim ROM's+ CM10 Revised (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2079747)
5.JBMini Project (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1789713X10)
6.MIUI (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1991720)
Now some custom kernels (credits go to nAa.)
1.nAa GB kernel (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1350484)
2.nAa JB kernel (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1837271)
3.nAa ICS kernel (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1636504)
There are more kernels but I think these are the best (my opinion.)
Now that you have chosen a ROM, put it on your SD Card, don't forget to download GAPPS, and put that on your SD Card aswell!
Step 3.
1. Download the kernel from the list above! And download FlashTool (http://www.4shared.com/file/JMFhqX8K/flashtool-0990-windows.html)
2. Place the kernel in the (C:Flashtool/firmwares folder). AND DELETE X10BLRELOCK! It will give you lots of trouble!
3. Now open FlashTool, press on the flash button, select Flashmode and then the kernel that you placed in the Firmwares folder.
4. Power off your phone! Hold on your back button on the phone and connect the USB Cable, and wait for the FlashTool to flash the kernel. Then disconnect.
Step 4.
Now that you flashed the kernel, you have CWM installed, the phone will boot itself into recovery because stock ROM will not boot with that kernel. Now when you are in recovery, do these steps:
1."Factory reset/wipe data"
2."Wipe cache partition"
3.Go to "advanced", and "Wipe Dalvik cache".
4.Now go to "mounts and storage", and "Format system" and "Format SD-ext".
5. "Install .ZIP from SD Card" then "Choose .ZIP from SD Card". Now select the ROM you wanted to flash.
6. Flash the ROM, and after that flash GAPPS!
7. And you are done! Enjoy the new ROM!
If you have any problems, write a reply or just PM me, I will be happy to help!
PRESS "THANKS" IF I HELPED YOU IN SOME WAY!

[Q] pls help Installing Gapps. Xant see "install zip from sdcard" in my recovery mode

[Q] pls help Installing Gapps. Xant see "install zip from sdcard" in my recovery mode
Hello and Thanks in advance. I have a problem and believe me, I havent found a solution here in 2 days and seems like people do it easily but not in my phone... As I know I should:
1. Root -> done
2. Get Gapps to the SDCard -> done
3. go to recovery mode and "install zip from sdcard" -> I dont have this option
* Installing Gapps app by app gives parsing errors, so I want to install the whole .zip (as I see people do).
My setup:
Huawei Y511 + android 4.2.2
I bought a Huawei Y511 in China, so there is no GAPPS (and I cant find a non-Chinese firmware for my phone), then I rooted and used this page tips to download the GAPPS (android 4.2) to the SDCARD. Every post says "go to recovery mode and install the zip". Nobody explains this step, but I installed QuickBoot, which takes me to the recovery mode, but there is no "install zip from sdcard".
I only see "install using ADB", but that seems difficult, I preffer the "install zip from sdcard" option.
(The +Volume button while resetting takes me to a test mode, where I can test stuff, but no recovery options.)
How can I enable the "install zip from sdcard" option? I am missing a step?
There are few more gapps versions as I remember there is a signed version try googling it and I'm also using Y511-U30 and I have all the APS installed... Try flashing firmware
Sent from my HUAWEI Y511-U30 using xda app-developers app
Do those posts you are reading about installing Gapps about installing them on your particular phone? It doesn't seem like it, otherwise the explanation of what type of recovery they were referring to should have come up. You need a custom recovery to install the gapps in that manner. A custom recovery allows you to install files that are not signed with the manufacturer's special signature. Most of the time when people refer to installing the gapps from recovery, it's for a custom rom, not a stock one from the manufacturer. Alternatively, you can install gapps with a file explorer with root permissions by moving the apps to /system/app and changing permissions as you can't install them like you would a regular app. Some apps also have additional things that need installed called "libs" that are need to be placed in /system/lib with correct permissions (the 3 on the left side and top middle option on the permissions screen for apps+libs).
You should also confirm if you have the y511-U00 or y511-U30 model as it's possible certain steps might be different for either phone.

I'm trying not to assume the worst, but maybe, for some reason, you didn't know that posting paid apps for free is not tolerated here and is considered warez or piracy. Please refer to the guidelines here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/announcement.php?a=81 #6
and remove your zip.

RR Android 7.1 for lenovo a6010 /plus stable [back camera -flash-dual speaker work]

Resurrection Remix 5.8.1
Android 7.1.1 for lenovo a6010 /plus stable [back camera -flash-dual speaker work]
INSTALL USING TWRP
1. Download and transfer the ROM and Gapps files to internal storage.
2. Boot your device into TWRP recovery. You can simply Google how to enter recovery mode on your device.
3. In TWRP recovery, click on Wipe » Advanced Wipe. Here select the following options shown in the screenshot below. Do not select the option which reads ‘Internal Storage‘ at any cost, as it will wipe off EVERYTHING, including your ROM file.
4. Go back to TWRP main menu, tap on Install and select the rom Zip file that you transferred to your device in Step 1.
5. After selecting the .zip file, do Swipe to Confirm Flash on the bottom of the screen to begin the custom ROM installation process. This may take some time.
6. Once your ROM is successfully flashed, you’ll see Wipe cache/Dalvik option, select it and then do Swipe to wipe on the bottom of the screen.
7. Now flash the rom Gapps file similarly like you flashed the ROM file.
8. After flashing both ROM and Gapps files, reboot your device.
