Missing Call Handling Options - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
Im brandnew to XDA, using Samsung S3 GT-I9300 since July, 2012.
Android Version: 4.3
Kernel Version: 3.0.31-2735602
Have two low-tech questions, didn't find them posted in this forum.
Question 1:
When quitting a call connection by pushing the "red phone button" the normal way, I have to wait for some 5-6 seconds of time, until the keyboard re-appears on the screen (in order to dial another phone number). This is quiet boring, over time... Is there a way, a setting, to shorten this waiting time? How to?
Question 2:
After establishing a voice call connection, I must push the "green speaker button" additionally, if I want to enable the speaker into surrounding loud mode. Is there a way to set this "environmental loud mode" by default, to the Samsung S3? So I haven't to choose this option manually, everytime after dialing. Would greatly welcome an option to set this behaviour to default, for all incoming phone calls, too.
Thank you in advance for your help!
Max

Any Idea?
Please help me somehow, helpful comment appreciated.
Is there no solution to these two issues?
Thanky.

Please let me know
Please, would you mind, posting any helpful information.
Even if there is NO solution at hand.
How should I interpret "no reply" at all?
No interest, stupid question, wrong forum, no solution available, just anything else... except conclusive information.

[q] s2u2 lock during call any solution ?

Hello,
I use every day S2U2: application which I find really successful
I have however a question to subject you:
I use the locking during the calls for questions of security.
When I phone, the device locks itself normally: everything is well.
On the other hand, when my call is ended, I am obliged to unlock my device to hang up.
Is there a means to hang up while the telephone is locked during the calls ?
Naturally I went on the site of S2U2 to read the "FAQ" section and "README" but no answer to my problem.
Also, I sent a message to the technical support; reponse: thank you for postponing you in the "FAQ" rubirque and "README".
Thus today, I wish to know if there is a means to hang up the telephone while this last one is vérouillé during the calls ?
Thank you for your answer
Please use the thread of topic S2U2.
On that note thread closed.

[Q] [ICS] Cannot answer call

Hi all
After getting the update to ICS I have experienced this twice:
My phone starts ringing with a very loud ringtone (louder than I think I left it) and I cannot answer it.
The phone doesn't lock or anything, but there just isn't any option to answer the call. It just behaves as if it wasn't ringing.
The first time it was in my pocket when it started and I turned the phone off to make it stop.
The second time I was writing a text and I just turned the volume down, and eventually it stopped.
The calls doesn't show up in the logs, and I haven't been able to find out who was calling, so in reality I don't know if someone was actually calling or if the phone just decided to suddenly play the ringtone out loud.
Anybody else experienced this?
/Brian

Feature Request - Network Event Notification

Some of you may remember this from Android 4.3, some might not even know it exists, on some devices is included in stock ROM (as I know Samsung devices and Sony devices have it...lucky them)
On short, there was an option in dialer settings labeled "Network event notification" that showed when you were receiving a diverted call (shown as "INCOMING CALL (FORWARDED)" instead of just "INCOMING CALL") or it showed when you call somebody and that person is already engaged in a call (shown as "DIALING (WAITING...)" instead of just "DIALING")
This information was nicely integrated within the AOSP in-call UI and was shown on that blue bar that is showing up until call is answered.
There are some hypothetical scenarios to use that, one being the case in which you have two phones/numbers and one is "personal/private" and the second is a "business" one. Say after working hours you will divert the "business" number to your "private" one just not to miss an eventually important call from office or a client. If you receive a call but this function is not in, you cannot tell if the call you're receiving is from a person that dialed your personal number or is someone calling on your work one. If we have back this option we can easily see that while phone is ringing and decide if we take the call or not.
Also when we call someone it's useful to see that the other party is engaged in a call already so we wont keep ringing and eventually get frustrated when the one we're calling is not answering (being in a call, most people do not reject an incoming second call, they just let it ring). We could easily see from first seconds that our call is "waiting" and we could hang up and try again later.
So if it is possible I would like to kindly ask for adding back this feature that we miss since KitKat is out. In the early KitKat builds there was even the option present in the dialer settings (ported from the previous Android version) but it never worked. Eventually in some ROMs it was event taken out, probably the devs considered it either useless or they didn't want to bother with it. Currently there is no KitKat ROM having this function working as far as I know (except if it was included in a stock ROM by the device manufacturer)
Thank you, hoping for a positive feedback...
Hi does anyone know if there was ever something done for this?
Bump, I also would really like to have this functionality back and it should not be too difficult to implement
Please use the QUOTE feature when replying to me to get my attention. Thanks!

[Q] Samsung mega ringing problems

My samsung mega doesn't ring only some time. If it doesn't ring the call will go to voice mail. If the caller hangs up before it goes to voice mail I never know I was called because it doesn't show a missed call in call log. I have read all I can find here and other places. However my problem isn't exactly same as I find. All sound is on and volume is up. I also know this since it does ring some time...
Now on the dialer pad on the # key there is a icon looks kinda like a speaker with a line through it. I can't remove it, what is it. Even though it is there the phone will still ring sometime.
From what I read I might have a software problem. Can I put the KIT-KAT on and perhaps solve the problem
Any help appreciated.
I posted this on the incorrect form a couple days with no answers. Probably because post was wrong forum.

Elephone - phone answers calls in purse!! Face recognition!?

Hi everyone,
a friend of mine has an Elephone device - I don't know which one, but it's running Lollipop.
She said she once activated the feature, that would detect when she's receiving a call and places the phone by her cheek (as you would do when speaking on the phone) and thus the phone would automatically pick up. I guess it has something to do with the proximity sensor or so?
Anywho, this "feature" isn't working properly, so the phone keeps answering calls while it's in her purse.
I checked all the settings menus and also the phone-app settings, but couldn't find anything to deactivate this.
Can someone help me? Thank in advance!
