Kind of a dumb question, but I want to be sure.
I'm going to Switzerland and was wondering will I have any issues buying a European Z4 wifi only tablet and using it in Canada? In particular, will I have issues with Pal/NTSC differences or pS4 remote play?

I want to buy a new ZU, but I found that the phone has like 4 variants till now, the question is: does it matter which one I buy [disregarding the LTE support]? I just need to know if I will be able to flash custom roms and it would not be hard find roms compatible to one variant and not to others.
Doesn't matter one Rom fits all variants.

Some of them have different bands. If you are over seas the C6802 should work I think.

3g -> C6802
lte us -> C6806 ?
lte int -> C6833
Google play is a C6806
Sony model is cheaper for most people vs GPE.
When the ROM is out, there will be no difference.
6806 will work with T-Mobile and AT&T 4g let networks. 6833 will work with T-Mobile 4G network.
I went with the 6806 because I have att and didn't want to lose the 4g capabilities.

If you are in the USA, get the 6806. Its about $650ish currently. The 3g version is equally good imho and $150 cheaper, but resale value in a year or two on a non LTE phone will be pretty horrid.
i currently using the $5.99 T-zone on my XPERIA S, i get HSDPA around 5Mbps download and i can tether with no limit... my monthly data usage is around 30GB.
if i get the XPERIA Z Ultra C6806 that have LTE band 4 will i able to get LTE on it using t-zone??
i tried using my current sim on my friends nexus 5, i get LTE signal but everytime i try to connect to internet it brings me to a sign in page on tmobile online, i try to sign in but the page take forever to load
the APN in the nexus 5 is already using "fast.tmobile"
i wonder will i get this problem if i get the C6806??
i juz want unlimited internet with unlimited tether while using tzone

It should work as long as you can specify Proxy in the APN, and you can. I really wish I had kept my $5.99 data. It was slow but usable. They still honor it.

I'd chat with a T-Mo technical support CSR about this, whilst absent mindedly telling them that your phone is the Xperia Z, (not Ultra) which they sell, and so must support.

so u mean when asking for support about tzone tell them im using the Xperia Z?? i dont have the ultra yet, i afraid i ask them any questions they will say, yell... sure, everything works... and after i got the Z ultra LTE then realized doesnt work... then im screw...

Has anyone managed to connect his Z Ultra Play Edition to the Rogers net? I'm dying to get one, but I'd like to know that it'll actually work. The specs seem to match.

I have a C6833 Ultra and it runs in Toronto on Wind. I dont see why the LTE one would not work .. just make sure its AT&T compatable and it will work on rogers in LTE

I've got a c6833 on bell and everything is working fine !

Hey there I am a new guy, a user of Sony Xperia Z2 l50t.
I use both the service of China Mobile and China Unicom.
I know that the hardware of my Z2 supports both WCDMA/FDDLTE and TDSCDMA/TDLTE. But I can't find a way to switch from one to another under one system. When I change the SIM card and then there is simply no 3G/4G signal at all. Are there any solutions? Thanks a lot!
