Well, I decided to make a working flashable ZIP of Android 6.0 Marshmallow for our lovely Nexus 5 ! It's working pretty well on TWRP, and allows to be rooted !
[About this build]
- Contains all stock (kernel, system, ... )
- Requires bootloader minimum HHZ12h, and Radio M8974A-2.0.50.2.26 (if you come from Lollipop, it's just fine)
- Google released new bootloaders and radio, but the above one works fine too.
[Note before installation]
- I suggest you to backup your app data with Titanium Backup if you want to restore your apps later
- It is not needed to backup your full internal storage. With this installation process, you will not lose anything

[How to Install]
- Boot in recovery (TWRP)
- Wipe only Data, System, Cache, Dalvik-cache (do not wipe INTERNAL DATA, unless it is what you want)
- Install the ROM
- Reboot. If TWRP prompt you to install SuperSu, deny it.
"But hey! I want Root !!"
So you want root on your Nexus 5 ! Great. This is how to do :
- Make sure your phone is first booted properly with above installation process, without installing any zip more
- Download a custom kernel that allows root, because root doesn't work anymore on stock kernel since M (checkout next paragraph for kernel list)
- Download SuperSU Beta
- Flash them (Kernel, then Super Su)
- Reboot
- Enjoy, you're now rooted !
"Ok Stock Kernel can't have root, then what custom kernel should I use to enable root ?"
- Well, I just made a Google Stock + root-possible kernel. No more adds or tweaks, just stock + root allowed. I called it StephanMc Kernel, available here (for Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow).

[About Titanium Backup (read this to fix it)]
Problem 1) TB doesn't shows my previous backup
It tries to find backup files into /storage/emulated/legacy/TitaniumBackup, while they are located here: /storage/emulated/0/TitaniumBackup (in my case, which is default place). In older Android releases, legacy was a symlink to 0/, so there was no problem at all. This changed on M Preview 2, so we have to make this change in TB.
- Open Titanium Backup
- MENU -> Preferences -> Backup Folder
- Hit "Back" button to go in parent folder. Navigate to /sdcard (not /storage), then TitaniumBackup, then USE this folder
- Congrats, TB is fixed !!
[Where is System Ui Tuner ?]
- Expand the Notification bar until you see the Settings icon (on top right corner)
- Hold on the icon for about 5 seconds
- Congrats! You can find System UI Tuner menu into Settings -> just under "About phone" menu
[About Snapchat ? ]
- Snapchat crashes at login with Marshmallow. You can workaround this by downgrading to v9.9.0 (google it), then log in the app. Once done, you're free to update it as usual if you want.

hello.. i've installed right now... feedback will be on a few hours with use... let me see if my experiment will be OK!
first boot late too much (almost 10 min) but when start!!! i can see a few changes on UI... Launcher is not OK!!! for me.... its uggly and remember me when LG had that scroll to bottom!!!

Installed with no issues (on the install). Flashed Despair and SU, also no problem. Decided I don't see anything in M that's any better than LP, especially it's much worse than Chroma. I use Parcel BU & Restore, it doesn't restore data. Get error "2015/07/14 - 17:10:31: cp: can't stat '/mnt/shell/emulated/0/parcel_backups" I think the mnt/shell/ isn't supposed to be in the path, but no way to change it. I restored my Chroma BU, much happier now.

Yes..snapchat updated a day or 2 ago and now all works fine with M.

I think on the first preview, the ROM defaults to the highest performance governor, so it's running highest speeds at all times. Had to install a custom kernel and select something a little more conservative to get 3-4 hours of SOT again.

Here some updates:
* Camera works pretty well (480/1080p) on stock kernel. Despair Kernel couldn't play 1080p records, but only 480p
* Latest version of Snapchat (9.12) will crash just after you enter your login infos. This issue is not related to the kernel you use, they just have to make it work with M Preview 2.
* Downgrading Snapchat to 9.9.0 worked for me

I still get it force closing when I try logging in... However as the above post suggests, version 9.9 works. Download the apk from the web and install that version
Installed without issues... some apps are working with a little lag... animations UI are great.. when you receive notifications... i've not installed Despair Kernel yet but i will.
New features in nav bar, like "dont distubr" (no molestar in spanish)....
Someone have installed Root and verify if greenify and Amplify have some issues??

was clean or dirty installation? i did a clean installation and now my battery life is more and less... let me check what happens if installed despair kernel and root... i didn't installed preview 1 because have some issues with functionallity.

There is no camera issue with stock kernel. 1080p problem occurs with Despair Kernel

First impressions: scrolling in settings is smoother, go launcher is not working good, cant add widgets and other bugs ( i installed adw launcher ex and its workin like a charm), camera and recorder are working, wifi working (fxp beta2 kernel).

OTA releases of MIUI Prime Lite via Rom Updater:
Flash this via cwm recovery, install rom updater from market and check for updates.
You can only download the updates with romupdater, but if it asks about flashing it right now, it doesn't work, you have to do it by hand.
Note: Please always read the changelog by longclicking on a release, there you can find out if you have to choose full or incremental or if it is wayne which one u choose. If nothing is written about that, full means the full rom which can be used for a fresh install also and incremental means that only the changed files are included and you can't make a fresh install from those files, cause threre isn't the whole rom included.
With Rom Updater I'll provide always the full version and incremental updates from the two latest versions to the newest one. In this case, u could also make a incremental update from v1 to v3. Incremental updates are only visible, if you are on the right version number which is read from the build.prop. In the OTA-enable zip I provide on top of this post sets this version number on zero (0), that's why you can't make a incremental update for the first time using OTA.

For the moment is the best miui rom for me, the free memory ram is more, more better than the others miui roms, is awesome, only fault language package.

Normally its for unlocked bootloader .
But you can install it on locked bootloader with cob's method .

calendar syncing problems
Hi Guys,
I'm having problems syncing the google calendar. I always get an error message saying that there were some problems syncing with the google servers. Contacts and Gmail work just fine. I've tried a clean installation, without any restore, and just entering my account details and it still fails. Also tried fixing permissions but to no avail. It must be something missing from the lite version. Anyone with the same problem?

I noticed that CWM rec was mentioned and I had G03 rec on my phone. Would the recovery software have made any difference?

Need more info mate. Locked or Unlocked bootloader? If unlocked what kernel are you running? I've installed miui prime with xrec 0.3gb but its on the Oodie dk mod kernel

Is there a way to flash a ROM through the flashmode?
Flashmode is the only access a have to my X10

How to install:
- Do a full wipe ( Not always needed, but always recommended )
- Install ROM, reboot.
- Set up a internet connection ( 3G, WiFi )

How to set up A2SD
Requirements: 512MB EXT4 Partition ( 1024MB Recommended )
Do you have an EXT3 partition? download the fix from the attachments and flash it after you've flashed the ROM! Else it will not work!
1. Do all the steps from the installation, if you've done all that, please don't install apps.
2. open app scroller, and open terminal emulator
3. type su and hit enter ( accept if Superuser prompts up )
4. Click the menu button on your device, and click show keyboard.
5. type a2sd install and hit enter
6. type y , type n , type y ( When it asks for it )
7. Auto reboot!
8. At the first boot it will be really slow ; can take up to 15 minutes.
9. After that, don't be afraid, all the apps have to load 1/2 minutes. ( that's why they don't show up in the app drawer.)
10. Done!

Installation went smooth, nothing problem... boot up was fast, enter SIM pin code and able to play around with the ROM... Then I install a2sd as per instruction, it reboot and after that it didn't ask for SIM pin code, no mobile network access. After the screen turn off, turn it on back then only it ask for SIM pin code. Now trying to restore back my apps, let see how it happen after this. That's the only problem I did face, didn't ask for SIM pin code when it boot up, need to turn off the screen and turn on back. Thanks! ROM was good. Good job man! Love to try new ROM!

it's a CM7 rom => Android 2.3 "Gingerbread"
I think, it's not possible
You should be able to install g+ in 2.3 . what message are you getting in play store?

MIUI lovers rejoice! A fully working MIUI v5 for our Xperia U!
This is my side project. I always loved the looks of miui but we've never had a fully functional miui port for our devices.
But not anymore. I've used @werty100's rom (I hope you don't mind) because it was very good and based on xnovathor, but he stopped developing. And this was the only version which gave me no trouble.
Everything is working as it should, and considering that this is miui, I'm very satisfied. good RAM management, working wifi tether, fixed wifi sleep bug..

Features:
- SlimBean based
- fixed most of the remaining bugs (wifi sleep bug, front camera, RAM management, etc.)
- Phantom kernel by @Pwng3 with overclocks, governors, etc
- Dual TWRP/CWM recovery (thanking to @NoobCoder):
to enter TWRP, press volume up when LED bar is multi-coloured;
to enter CWM, press volume up when LED bar is white.
- Performance control included (you need to enable root permission in miui's security center for it to work)
- Fixed lockscreen lag by implementing custom lockscreen which resembles default one (Default one is way too laggy)
- Sound is loud enough, there's no need for additional sound enhancers
- Many small tweaks and patches...

Instructions:
- Backup your current ROM!
- If you don't have CWM/TWRP, then flash kernel included in ROM
- Enter CWM/TWRP and wipe data, cache, dalvik cache
- Install ROM
- Reboot and enjoy
Repeat this procedure even if you're coming from v1 or v2, since base is changed! Sorry guys
Don't flash any gapps, as this rom has all you need (Playstore and stuff)
Bugs:
- FM radio, of course.
- Wifi direct (if anyone has tips on how to fix it, please PM me)
- If you don't have 3G, try turning airplane mode on and off, it happens sometimes, not my rom's fault
- After restart, sound is sometimes at max volume, just change volume (this is also inherited "bug")
- Keyboard disappears and music stops under heavy use. I tried to reduce that to minimum, but it will still happen (low RAM's fault)
- That's about it. I don't consider these to be real bugs, but i put this info here to avoid repetitive questions in thread.

Once you install it, it will FC when you run it, just clear data under apps, and you're done. It also FC's when you manually want to set vibration&sound, but not through personalisation guide, so no worries. When I have time, I will try to fix it.

Thanks to @akbarreynaldi for the tip
It only has white light, but at least it doesn't have that bug where notification light would stuck at orange when there is some notification.
Tips&Tricks for performance
- Use greenify. it matters. I even greenify Google Play Services.
- Scheduler/Governor: interactive (or interactivex)/sio
- Turn off all touch tones/vibrations and autobrightness
- Regularly use broom to clean RAM and run greenify before playing games. Also, in games keep setting to medium.
- DO NOT use task killers!
- Keep list of installed apps short, please
- Finally, don't expect form heavy rom like MIUI to run smooth on such a weak device as ours
- MIUI's tips&tricks, it's worth reading, you will most probably find something you didn't knew about MIUI

If it runs JB then its sure its not for LB cuz for installing 4.0+ roms we require unlocking the bootloader cuz we have to flash custom kernel

Flashing Instructions1. Do a nandroid backup first
2. download the rom and copy to sdcard
3. If you're NOT on CM (4.4) ROM you need to flash kernel (boot.img) via fastboot firstly
then :
- go to CWM

- Wipe Dalvik & Cache

I flashed from Vanir 5.1.1 and it booted. Now Installation steps.

First impressions
The rom is pretty cool.
It's laggy now (when we download apps, ...)
But it's sexy too (multitasking , ...)
There are many options... Bluetooth, Wifi, Camera, works. I don't know for RIL but I think that there is no problem. The Sim card is detected and there is no problem
I just see one bug.
The scanner app is not working. I think because it's not the official MIUI Camera into the ROM.
After this. I'll wait stable version. And the blurred effect for notification center and Multitask Menu is not present ? Is it normal ? :-/

Yes! The device freezes a lot with discard in fstab.

A question to be safe. I read that the kernel is the stock one from the last version. I assume that the rom can be installed in locked bootloader phones. Is that correct?

A question to be safe. I read that the kernel is the stock one from the last version. I assume that the rom can be installed in locked bootloader phones. Is that correct?

:laugh:Sorry, I can't remember that much, and there's an Android M boot animation, you can flash it, no need wipe anthing....
Getting always bootloop if im activating xposed modules. After disabling xposed, everything is good again.

ROM aready add Xposed installer
NOW ,THE new ROM Updated ,xposed.zip , supersuerfix , kernel , X bootanimation all in rom!:laugh:
do a full wipe ,
flash the new rom, done!
so far this rom work very well, and the battery seems good..
maybe i need more observation about this room before give review
It seems very well so far. As above said, there is time needed to tell more. But so far it seems very smooth and battery friendly. I can't find a problem

Hi all, this thread looks promising and the vision is exactly what I'm looking for (the long life battery) sorry for the question, is it right to flash and follow the instruction in the OP also for a not touched before z3c? I'm stock on latest LP firmware, never rooted never UB and so I'm afraid about the DRM of the camera for example.. what I should do? thank you!

and one more question.... did you implement the active radio fix? is not clear for me from your description
Rom is excellent so far. Good battery life and very smooth. I haven't really come across any issues with it yet and been using it for 2 days now. Using several xposed modules too and no conflicts or errors there either.Only having an issue in the recovery where I cant back up to my external sd-card because its not mounting. Any fix for this? I just want to fully backup now because this will become my daily Rom for sure and I want a good back up to come back to if anything should go wrong.

Not sure about the other stuff but Titanium is definitely working on this Rom and has full root privileges and sd-card access because I used it to debloat a bit.
