Doesn't. But flashing the kernel will still allow you to be rooted and/or flash supersu

So, just to clarify, if I flashed your root method on 5.1.1, and then flashed this kernel, I'd still be able use root privileges/supersu?
Just want to make sure I have that right. Thanks!

What would be the disadvantages of using this kernel?
Thanks for supplying another kernel.:good::good:

Breaks private mode which all permissive kernels do. Pegasus causes a reboot evidently.

Does this kernel support screen color control?

Not yet

Would screen miroring failure be due to kernal or Rom ?

shiny a user asked me for a att port do you think it would work if I replaced att kernel with yours. I know already their would be no root so is it pointless

I won't touch a device with a locked bootloader. But yeah there'd be no root

I was wondering will you be incorporating a kernel control like KTweaker was for Ktoonsez kernels, so we can have the ability to adjust kernel settings.
Thanks

You can download one from the Playstore. Normally i used trickster. But future releases will include Kernel Adiutor https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.grarak.kerneladiutor

No more lag. Wow. There is a huge improvement in overall smoothness. Thank you!
One minor problem. Wifi Calling won't enable anymore. I'm just on the stock ROM, rooted. No other modifications except this kernel.

Just stock settings. I didn't want to even root my S5 but the lag was really getting annoying so once I installed this kernel I left it as is.

Im running Omega Rom with their custom kernel...can this kernel be flashed over their kernel without issue?
Does anything need to be done to go from one kernel to another (ie. wipe)?
Thanks

There should be no issue flashing this kernel straight over what you are running now. TWRP or CWM and flash the zip. I generally just wipe DALVIK / Cache for good measure but no data wipe.
ver_3 is out now

Note: I will NOT add useless optimization drivers, "DanceLizard360" governor, or any random frequency step pulled out of who knows where. I WILL add features I've either written or thoroughly reviewed myself that actually serve a purpose. If you'd like to contribute or recommend a feature, think before you speak. This is not a toy, this is a tool to control the hardware on your device. That said... enjoy!

This release is for Lollipop-based ROMs only. The kernel is based on cm-12.0, which is the only ROM officially supported.
It is highly recommended that you are NOT coming from a a custom kernel during installation, unless you are updating from a previous furnace release.

Yes to kexec, and furnace boot mode lets you use a terminal emulator (as root) or adb to run "reboot furnace" for "adb reboot furnace". After the phone boots up again, you will load with a custom rgb/kcal profile. Perhaps I'll add other profiles as well to the boot mode. Sharpening, CPU, etc..
