Greenify hibernate Nova Launcher - Greenify

Hello,
I have a problem with Greenify. I don't have Nova Launcher added to the hibernated apps and when I try to hibernate it launcher is crashing. I've tried to wipe the data, reinstall and so on and the problem still remains. Can you help me somehow?
I have LG G2, stock 4.4.2.

If it's not on the hibernate list, it shouldn't be interacting.
If you have Titanium Backup, the simplest thing would be to restore an earlier backup of Nova - see if the problem goes away.
If you don't, maybe uninstall Greenify and see if the problem goes away.
If it doesn't (so probably a Nova issue) uninstall/reinstall. Before you do that, though, back up all your nova settings so you don't have to re-do everything
I'm not a Greenify expert, but that's how I'd approach it...

In my opinion, if you greenify/hibernate Nova, it will crash. Nova controls your UI, so that may be the reason.

But I don't have Nova added to the hibernated apps

You are not clear about what you are trying to do. If Nova is not among the hibernated apps, then what crashes and when?

Why do you want to hibernate the launcher that controls your UI? I don't understand...

[Q] Apex Launcher not removing uninstalled app icons.

I am running Apex Launcher Pro and have started to notice a problem. When I uninstall apps that I have in folders in Apex Launcher Pro, the icons for those apps are not being removed when i uninstall the apps. I uninstalled roughly 30-40 apps not too long ago and they are all still present in my app folders on my desktop. Is there a way to have Apex remove these icons when uninstalling apps? Currently I have to go and test icons to see if the apps are installed or uninstalled in order to test them, which can be quite annoying if you have a large number of apps.
I am running the latest Apex on a Verizon GS3 running Synergy ROM.
Thanks in advance.
Still looking for info on this.
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
Try restarting from apex settings
Sent from my HTC ChaCha with CM9 using XDA app.
Nope =/
They are not cleared out after a restart. Restarting phone, installing Apex updates, restarting the launcher, or having Apex crash and reload all fail to clear the uninstalled apps.
I am intentionally leaving these in my folders for testing purposes, but I have failed to find a fix. I have paid for both Apex Pro and Nova Pro and have been an Apex user for a long time now. I may have to switch to Nova if I can't figure out what is causing this, but I would prefer to find a fix as I enjoy Apex.

Replace Stock Launcher

Hello Everyone,
Is it possible to replace the stock launcher in MiUI with launchers like Nova or GNL?
Will uninstalling the system launcher and pushing a
3rd party launcher to system with system permissions work?
If not, another workaround?
Thanks and Happy New Year:angel:

Thanks will try. I'm rooted.
Will that mean long pressing back button keeps Nova in the memory? As I have set the back button to kill the foreground app.

Thanks for the reply brother, but like said, it gets killed while long pressing back button. Even though sometimes it's by mistake, it still kinda bugs me. That's why I asked if pushing it into system prevents it from getting killed.

just try some things first. go to developers option and turn off miui optimisations. and try to lock launcher in resent app. if this didnt work. thn u can turn launcher to a system app with titanium backup.

Permanent fix for low brightness bug in apps

If you install Nova launcher there is no autodimming in apps like Chrome, try and check it out. For me it's solved. If I return to stock launcher bug is there again, but on nova launcher no problems.
I'm using nova launcher prime but still with Chrome and some other apps the autodimming is there.
If you really want this annoying dimming bug to stop, you'll have to root your phone, and freeze this system app: Power Genius
It's possible to do with this free app: App Quarantine

3rd part launcher crashing

Wonder if anyone else has this issue.
Since 01/01 Nova Launcher started crashing every time I tried to use it.
Tried clear cache, uninstall, reinstall etc. but every time I select it and go from Settings to Home screen I get an error from "Smart recovery" saying Nova caused "fatal" crash and I should uninstall it.
Nova Launcher beta was last updated on 21st December and EMUI over Christmas to 153 version, I can't recall changing anything that could've impacted Nova.
Then I got Action Launcher, which works fine until I try to create and save folder, when I get the same error from "smart recovery".
I'm puzzled by this, really getting tired of EMUI bugs and issues.
I'm having the same issues with any launcher I try to use, as soon as I change the Launcher in the default app the phone crashes and asks me to uninstall the launcher.
Strange and i can imagine frustrating. Here no such problems. Using Nova launcher beta on .153 with fluid navigation gestures without any issues. Did you try factory reset?
manually grant storage permissions and you should be good to go

Both Nova & Action have storage permission, switched it off & on anyway, but didn't make a difference.

I wanted to avoid a factory reset, was hoping Nova beta update might be released soon, and somehow fix it.
Using Fluid NG since I got the phone and everything was working fine with Nova.
I guess this is what happens when manufacturer interferes with how launchers work(ed) on all other Android devices for years.
I also had problems with Nova crashing but Action Launcher is working with no problems

Using action launcher as well but having issues on camera, sometimes it forced closes would not open unless phone rebooted but never happens in stock launcher..

Ram management on EMUI 9 is horrible when using nova launcher. Any fix?

If I use the stock Huawei home launcher, all my apps will stay open with no issues, but when using nova launcher, my apps constantly restart. Has a fix been discovered yet? I've read on Reddit that it's a common issue but haven't read about a fix.

I noticed that too. Much better ram management on stock launcher. Also on 3rd party launchers you can notice a blue tint on the app switcher and you can't tap the apps on the edges, only the middle one.
Huawei wants to stop using custom launchers, maybe it's a trick to get most users back to stock launcher.
other than not being able to expand over 5x5 grid i dont see any reason why anyone would wanna change from stock launcher to something else...specially when you can put material icons on stock launcher .... if you are facing issues with other launchers why go there.
on nova may be pull notification down gesture is good other gestures are helpful as well.....
oh and the battery usage on stock launcher is so minimal.... as compared to every other launcher out there.

Don't like the fact that I can't disable HiSearch and doesn't have a swipe down gesture to reveal the notification bar.

Had the same issue after updating to emui9, and using Nova launcher.
Only fix I've found is disabling Huawei launcher with adb.
My free ram was dropping down to 600mb and apps kept reloading when switching.
You also get back the old vertical scrolling recent apps.
Now ram stays the same as it was on Oreo around 2.5gb free, and apps stay in memory.

I have the same problem, my temporal solution is going to apps, search for Huawei Home and stop it. After stopping it, it will free a lot of memory, free memory will go up from 600MB to 3.2GB. I am doing it once every 2 days and I am not having any more app closing by themselves.
I should disable the app as it is recommended, but I do not have access to a computer at this moment to run the ADB commands.

The adb command is:
pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.huawei.android.launcher
But first read Full details here: https://www.xda-developers.com/uninstall-carrier-oem-bloatware-without-root-access/

If you don't have root, it won't uninstall, but please read the article in the link so you understand the process.
