[Q] How to make my system use the quicksetting toggle icons - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a Verizon Galaxy S6. Firmware OE2 Lollipop. It appears that the quick setting toggles are used for backlighting shapes only. And only the "Off" png files are used. If I insert custom toggle icons to replace the stock ones, only the shapes show up in the panel but the shapes are replaced with a solid color rather than the actual png file images themselves. How can I get it to use the actual icons?
Sorry for such a noob question.

Theme/Mod Buffet

Concept of this thread to give choice to users, who want to stay on stock ROM but just want to add mod/theme according their own choice. May be this thread itself have all mods/themes already on theme section, but to make it centralize and select requires stuff under same roof
What I am initially plane is to categorize thread in 3-4 section
1.Add On - You can add stuff without affecting existing mods
A.Xposed base
B.Vrtheme
2.Single Mod - just for single application
3.Mixed Mod
This may takes time to upload but i think this will be a step in right direction to get mod/theme easier way to newbies.
then i will needs your suggestion and help to collect more stuff
1. Add-On
This section will have themes/applications which you can use on your existing setup, without affecting any current application.
A. Xposed base (need to install apks)
You will need to have root + Xposed framework on your device. If you are new to Xposed framework, read this
1.Status bar background. With this you can change background/transparency of status bar.
Get TweakBox module for this.
2.StatusBar modding You can change BG of statusbar, as well change color of clock/replace text with clock/remove AM/PM/gradient color/Font style and more
WisomSky Exloit
3.Multi SB mod : Change color of clock/add text along clock/font/add shadow/transparent notification/color of battery,wifi,signal/Full screen caller image/Hide am,pm/and transparency of SB
StatusBar clock color with Full screen
4.Icon themer Change stock icon with other custom icons available on play store.
Icon Themer module
5.Battery modules Replace battery stock icons with new many more icons with 1% battery increment mod.
Battery modules
6.Notification background : You can select any custom image on pull down notification
Notification BG
7.X-Background : Same as above notification BG but plus you can select any color and transparency too. As well you can change BG of dark and holo BG, (that affect BG of setting/messaging and many other applications)
X-Background module
B. Vrthemes (need to flash from CWM OR TWRP OR Mob Odin(OTA/updateZip option)
1. 3DToggle Icons Change your stock toggle Icons with amazing 3D icons. Read post #2 and option B of this thread
2. Battary color/ Toggle color /Colored Clock on pull down and status Bar - Get from Here
3. Signal Wifi Icons, data in-out icons, signal bar icons - Get from Here
4.Pulldown Bars & BG - Get from here
5.Framework BG : Get from Here
6. Slider scrubbers and handles - Get from here
Post #3

[Q] AllianceRom

Hello. After upgrading from Beans v22, I have questions about config options in AllianceRom, but I'm not able to post in those threads.
1 - The text, numbers and symbols (such as battery icon) in the status bar are a little bit dim for me and I'd like to make 'em easier to read. In Statusbar Options I downloaded a plain black image and set that to background. I don't see a setting in that section for changing the font. It's currently grayish. I guess I'd like to make it bright white to improve contrast. I can't see any effect from playing with the alpha slider in Statusbar Options.
2- Related to the above, I used that same plain black image to background the notification panel to block out the underlying pages and text. (Btw, I wish both the statusbar and notifications panel options included a colorpicker rather than only image-based wallpaper)).
Like the Statusbar section, I admit I can't tell what effect the wallpaper alpha slider is having.
What I'd like to be able to do with the Notification panel is get it more Beans 22-like so it's a one-step process to get to the toggles. In Beans they were waiting for use as soon as I slid down the panel. Default setup in v.24 is a two step process: lower the panel, and then press the icon to display the toggles.
3- Speaking of the toggles, could you point me to the settings area where I can remove/change the toggle choices? I'd like to slim it down to about 10 things I'd use most often.
4- While I'm mentioning toggles, I noticed that longpressing the WiFi Hotspot toggle takes me to the USB/BT Tether screen rather than the Mobile Hotspot config/allowed devices screen. Is there somewhere I can change what happens on a longpress? (Wow I'm a pain in the butt.)
5- Dropbox. I love Dropbox the service, but not the official Dropbox app. I prefer to access it from the cloud section of ES Explorer because I can browse without syncing and just pull over the files I want. In Alliance I don't seem to be able to uninstall the Dropbox app. Rather than freeze/turn off, I'd just as soon dump it. Is that possible?
Thanks so much!

[Q] How do I get rid of the KitKat status bar gradient?

I have AOSP KitKat on my Galaxy S4 and the gradient on the status bar on the home screen just rapes my AMOLED burn in *takes breath*. I've tried modding the SystemUI apk with custom photoshopped gradients (completely transparent) and the modded apks either don't launch, glitch tf out, or have no effect. Is there an app that's specifically designed for modifying the res folder in SystemUI? Keep in mind I don't have access to a PC.

Need help in changing some background colours

A) Some basic information:
Samsung Galaxy Quattro, GT-i8552; pre-July 2014, rooted
I have already modified stock Jelly Bean 4.1.2, rooted, deodexed, debloated 82 system apps, has busybox, init.d support
B) Recently, I have been trying to change background colours of status bar, expanded status bar, notification panel, settings, pop-up panels, horizontal dividers etc. I referred to many XDA topics and threads. I could successfully modify background colours at many places.
But even after modifications / changes in different XMLs, 9.PNGs and PNGs, I could not change background colour as under:
1) background colour of the top area of expanded status bar (where clock and date appear)
2) background colour of brightness controller / bar on expanded status bar
3) background colour of area where "Ongoing" and "Notifications" text appears on expanded status bar
Please see the screenshot with arrows pointing to those areas.
Please help.
