Team EOS Nexus 7 (2013) Nightly builds
(Builds are not generated if there are no changes to source, saving you from useless updates)
Because this is an AOSP based ROM, Google Apps are not included. Flash the gapps of your choosing after you flash the ROM. If you need help finding a gapps package, ask any of us and we'll be happy to help
These builds are designed to be installed from your favorite recovery. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE LATEST 5.1.X COMPATIBLE RECOVERY.
Detailed instructions:
Going to EOS 5.1.X from another ROM:
Boot to recovery
BACKUP YOUR CURRENT SETUP!!!
Make a full wipe (Dalvik, Dalvik Cache, System, Data)
Flash the ROM
Flash optional kernel if you choose to not use provided kernel **We DO NOT support outside kernels**
Flash gapps
Reboot
Updating from an older EOS build to new EOS build:
You can usually skip the full wipe step and just wipe both caches. If ever you encounter an issue make sure you make a full wipe first before reporting it. This is what most call "Dirty Flashing". Normally this doesn't cause problems, but keep in mind a clean flash is always the best way to go.

Good to see the project up & running again...

Indeed I am...just love testing stuff...?

Thanks for the ROM and your time! Will be flashing this tomorrow on a very very slow day at work.......sahweeeet!

So, tried initial release and 7/20... Nice ROM! Fling navbar is an interesting feature (totally original too), with tight grained control settings, but i found that I preferred the traditional navbar configuration as I'm more accustomed to it. The audio EQ in the fling bar, and gesture trace options are sick though.
ROM runs quite well, would recommend to others to try in a heartbeat. Nice work.

Would it be possible to get a build compiled for the LTE (deb) side of the house... Thanks... Great ROM...

Ill check with the rest of the team if anyone has that device Without the device, it would be a sort of blind builds, which we don't do

Thanks for inquiring.. Everything is better with EOS.

So it's finally here...

Exactly. Originality is a huge plus. Copy/paste ROMs are okay if they're stable and include tasteful cherry-picks, but original features are always a plus.

GApps
Hi,
Can I flash any Gapps file or do you guys have one? If so, where can I find it? I tried looking and searching but I only come up with Gapps from other builds. Just want to make sure it's safe.

first one is mine!
Test and feedback please
Rock stable for weeks now and I can't get mine to crash or anything, all the recent kernel updates I applied also seem to play nicely.
Awesome that EOS is back, had it on my Xoom for years.
Does the kernel have the kexec patch in place for use with multirom?

Argh, shame on me for forgetting about that one!
I'll intergate is as soon as possible.
If you're feeling generous, you can always submit the patchset at review.teameos.org though
Thanks Team EOS and RaymanFX!!!
Will try it after work... =)
Glad to see eos again, had it on my dad's Xoom for the longest time, always was super solid with some unique features, gotta try this soon

2) Linux 3.4.91

Yay! Really like this news. I notice there is a nexus 5 build as well. Will there be a forum for that device? Going to install on my nexus 7 today. Used this on the Xoom until it de-xoomed

I'm still rocking an EOS build on my Xoom and it is now running great on my Nexus 7. I have all the OG Tiamat backgrounds in rotation on my Nexus 7 and M7. I missed you guys...

Welcome back
Nice to see the EOS name back :good: - loved it on my 2012 Nexus 7, so I'll give it a whirl on the 2013 model
Wow, great to the teameos name here. Thumbs up!
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
Installed and running nice, using elemental kernel as it compliments my HTC M8 running elemental kernel, heh heh
But the ROM is running nicely! The options seem to be nice, I don't think I saw a "date in status bar" option but I did install this at 1am so went to bed quickly. Morning is crazy here, our kids run crazy for ages *cough*
Sent from my AOSP on Flo using Tapatalk
Them newz!
In the next nightly, you'll get full sweep2wake and doubletap2wake support in the kernel thanks to @show-p1984 !
I cherry-picked the corresponding commits into the EOS kernel because I liked those.
Keep in mind they don't drain your battery at all, or at least not more than the kernel did before thanks to the usage of IRQs.
s2w and dt2w are disabled by default not to confuse new EOS users.
However, I put together a nifty little device settings app that will let you toggle those two features easily:
https://github.com/TeamEOS/device_asus_flo/commit/6090f9a064c456b8e24667fd12a587529d856cf2
To access it, head over to Settings->Device->More... and there you are
Keep in mind all this will be available in the next nightly build, so stay tuned and watch the status: http://jenkins.teameos.org/
Also, for some reason, haters or 'trolls' seem to have voted this thread 1 star.
Due to the lack of negative criticism in this thread, I think the 'stars' should actually reflect the user's opinion of this ROM.
So if you like EOS on your device, please spend that one second it takes you to vote this thread 5 stars. Thanks!
Hi, I haven't read the thread to double check, took our kids to the zoo today, 9 hour day, drained. Anyway, found out the hard way that GPS doesn't seem to work at all. The app, sygic showed no satellite coverage bars at all whilst my phone running same app +map showed bars and worked as expected. The app on the n7 was sitting at "waiting for coverage" type error message.
Sorry if this is a known problem, I'll re read this thread tomorrow. Severe chronic pain, 2 crazy active kids and 4 hours driving plus zoo adventure = one tired me, body and mind!
Thanks for putting teameos available again

Anyone running this on a DEB model with MultiROM installed?
I have tried 3 different nightlies and it will not boot, just curious if any has had luck with this configuration.
For whoever is wondering, the new nightly (6/20) is based off of 4.4.4 , because we all crave the latest and greatest...

I am loving the NX Gesture Bar but this ROM is missing a lot even compared to AOSPA. No floating notifications like Hover or Heads Up, no global immersive mode, doesn't have the new theme engine, and quite a lot more...

Just a few questions before flashing this awesome rom tonight on my Flo, the link to the gapps from the OP is not showing anything, is there any other gapps package that you recommend? And the last one... Are you going to implement theme engine on your rom?
Thanks a lot for your hard work and for coming back!! ???

Welcome! A brief introduction to the philosophy behind TeamEOS is in order:
If you're looking for a project with every feature on the planet, then this ROM is not for you. TeamEOS incorporates features that revolve around simplicity.
TeamEOS took a brief hiatus to work with the CodefireX project. Unfortunately, that all ended up going south in a blaze of glory. In the TeamEOS repo, you'll see references to CFX code. That code was written by team lead of EOS, bigrushdog, and is thus rightly used in his project.
I run EOS on my Mako as my daily driver. I personally have not had any issues with it, and there are some lovely things in the works.
*A note about my builds:
My builds may have some things changed. They may have changes from Gerrit or may be using a different kernel, or are simply compiled at a different time by me. These builds are not representative of TeamEOS, and I am not responsible for any harm that may come to your device (or yourself as a result) should you choose to use them.
IF/WHEN YOU REPORT A BUG:
Please make sure to do a full wipe, with no mods (fonts, kernels, etc.) installed, and see if the issue persists. This helps us narrow down what could be causing the issue. And please, please, include a log. There are a bunch of swell guides here on XDA that will help you get a log. I use this one as reference: Clicky-Click.
Third and final Reserve.

First part of your question is answered above.
I don't understand what you're asking in the second part though.
EDIT: If you were talking about Chinese language support, then maybe. If AOSP supports it, we support it. If it doesn't have it, you're always welcome to translate it and put it up on our Gerrit for review.

Hey Connor, running the latest build for a couple of hours now accompanied with AKs kernel and it just feels great! Thank you! May I ask whether long pressing the volume rocker to skip tracks will be included in future builds? Or you guys decided against it? It's the only feature I actually miss using this rom.

This uses GCC 4.7. Nothing supremely fancy. While it does perform well, this ROM is definitely more feature and stability driven.
- Connor Baker
PS: When I have more free time, I'll switch it over to 4.8-Linaro for Mako builds. I'm most likely not going to touch the kernel to try to make it better, as there are already a bunch of people on here who understand the Linux Kernel far better than I do. I recommend any of the kernels that you find on this site. It's mostly just personal preference.

Looking at their manifest, then yes it is
Code:
<default revision="refs/tags/android-4.4.3_r1.1"
remote="aosp"
sync-j="4" />
(R1.1 is KTU84L)
its awesome to see a new ROM here
cheers
Good to see you guys back again on grouper! :good: The rom doesn't have a ton of features but what it does have, is done very well. For me, the NX gesture nav bar is the highlight feature of this rom...it's a true gem.
I'm not a fan of pie or expanded desktop, because I like to see my physical nav bar at all times. But NX gesture is so cool and fluid, that I'm really enjoying it and I don't miss the physical nav bar. Of course, the nav bar is an option if I ever do want to use it. Great job on this.
Again, good to see you back and thanks for an excellent rom.
@deny_kei
btw, the rom is based on KTU84M
EDIT: Correction, looks like this is built on KTU84L, the display ID is KTU84M.
EDIT: Correction2, the build fingerprint is KTU84L and the display ID is KTU84M. However if it's R1.1, it's KTU84M, as KTU84L is R1. So, since the manifest says R1.1, I would say it's KTU84M.
Anyway, shouldn't matter over the next day or so, as 4.4.4 R1 KTU84P is here.
Thanks,
Mike T

Woah. Blast from the past. Kid's got the tablet right now (I put the 4.4.4 image on it), but I am going to try this. One of my all time favorite ROMs.
Now Let's not let this Rom go to the next page
I will test this Rom in the next few days
Propably should update thread title to 4.4.4...
If anyone has a tilapia, I have a test build posted in general. Need to know if it works before we push it to nightlies.
Builds will now have m-kernel instead of lean kernel.

I did. Everything seems to work. If I get issues eventually, then I will clean flash.

Noticeable performance increase, quite a bump in antutu score, and an unanimous vote from the team.
I have noticed on the last 2 nightly versions that when i turn the screen off or it goes to sleep for an extended period i can turn the screen back on but the lock screen is always frozen and i can't unlock which forces me to do a reboot via power button with both volume buttons. is this a known problem or am i the only one having this issue?
I have only been using this for a few days so i don't know if it occurs in any of the other nightlies

I'm on 7/1 with no issues. Is this with a clean wipe and clean flash?

Because this is an AOSP based ROM, Google Apps are not included. Flash the gapps of your choosing after you flash the ROM. If you need help finding a gapps package, ask any of us and we'll be happy to help
If you're coming from any ROM other than the latest CM 12.1 nightly, flash that first, for all the proprietary firmware to be updated.

Less ROM and more maintainig should definitely be your main task. Porting/building so much ROM doesn't make any sense without maintaining them.

Updates on my ROMs
Obviously this ROM will be updated.Guess what,it's my final year in high school and I can't score less marks.Solution - I push the updates slowly as I have to devote my time to the books. So considering this fact of mine,I sincerely apologize to all the users who are experiencing less updates from my side.I know I'm slow in pushing the updates but I don't want to sacrifice my study time for this.I only build because it's my hobby, not a job for which I'm getting paid for.

Awesome ROM... Stock kernel is fast with no lags... I find this one of the best ROMs... Have it on my nexus 5, 7 and now 9.. Could not be happier...
Rom running great...only odd thing is I don't get a 60fps option in the YouTube player on 60fps videos. I had this happen on aicp rom also where other roms I have the option.

Well any gapps for android 5.1.x
Had the N9 since release and finally got bored today and thought id unlock/root her today with a flash of this-
Forgive my ignorance or stupidity but I've spent the last 2 days trying to get this up and running. ROM installs fine on it's own but as soon as I flash gapps (have tried 3 arm64 based one's now) I either get setup wizard process fail just after WiFi setup or Google play services process stops. Base ROM alone works like sorcery, destroys stock in performance. Currently on twrp 2.8, not sure if I'm flashing the wrong gapps or if I'm missing a step like wiping cache etc.
Have tried back to back install of ROM and gapps and also separate after boot/first use setup

Had this same issue on another couple ROMs. Ended up flashing latest stock image, and then twrp again, and then the ROM. Works perfect now. Some report that you may just be able to flash the latest vendor image and resolve it. I'd go that route first if I were you. Download the latest 5.1.1 image, then fastboot flash vendor vendor.img

Spot on, this worked, had a couple of FC from play store but delete cache seems to have resolved it!
The 8/30 build would not install either from a wiped or update... Hangs at finishing boot and after 15 mins still not up and running. Reverted to the 8/23 ROM which works very well..
