[REQ] SJsecret LG Font apk port for S6 - Galaxy S6 Edge Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I recently discovered this font, SJsecret, its found on the LG Smart World store and apparently it can't be used / installed on other phone models.
I found an apk package of it and i even managed to install it, but it doesn't show up in the Fonts menu in Settings.
So, i thought that maybe someone has the time and ability to make a proper apk for this awesome font. I don't want a zip package, because i plan to use Samsung Pay and i don't want to root for the time being.
I will attach the apk that i found, maybe it can be of some use.
/le
Done it myself after much searching and investigating.
I saw that many people downloaded the original LG apk, but nobody stopped to say something about it...
Anyways, I will attach my custom apk for S6 here, hope someone will enjoy it as much as I do!
/lle
Re-attached the file. Enjoy!

Amazing! I have an LG phone but I have installed cyanogenmod 11. How can I install this font? Thank you

I don't know how Cyanogen manages custom fonts, if the original LG apk doesn't work, try asking in the thread of your rom.

Thanks for the reply! I have done it in a different way. I explain you how i managed Just in case someone needs it.
I have extract the original .ttf file from the LG apk (I have used winrar on my pc), then I have moved ttf file in my sdcard and apply this with an app from playstore (iFont).

Yep, that's a great shortcut. iFont app is a very powerful tool for managing custom fonts.

I'm pretty sure the reason why (at least for me) is that I'm trying to find a way to create a custom LG font package.
iFont app does support FlipFont (for Samsung devices) but LG doesn't seem to be using that system, neither the iFont "install mode". I wish iFont did have a "LG mode", but it doesn't.

Currently attempting this myself. I'm using an LG G6 that isn't rooted but I'd like to figure out the changes he made in order to enable it on the other phone so I downloaded both.
Not a lot of people have posted custom fonts and the LG World store is over saturated with versions of comic sans style fonts.

Hey man, could you reverse engineer the apk and make Google Product Sans font for official LG framework? (Like how sjsecret or JIOgougu fonts have apks which work for unrooted LG v20/v30/g6/g5). Would be a grand favor.
Sorry for irrelevance with Samsung s6 forum though.

Fonts for the Atrix

Changing fonts on the Galaxy S was very easy via the phones' own settings. How can you add/user new fonts on the Atrix?
thanks
Rafa
Nobody...?...I thought this was going to be an easy one....
What I did was pulled the fonts I liked that I ripped from UOT Kitchen and created a CWM flash-able zip for the font. I'm using Comfortaa now on the atrix.

Thanks for that link, and googling for me.
If I were to use one of those fonts, would there be a way to get back to the stock font? If I were to flash another theme, would it automatically load the stock font?

A nandroid backup should do the trick, but maybe you don't want to re-backup everything... I wonder if there is a TiBu system setting that contains the fonts that you could backup and restore data later?

Of course. DroidSans is the default font. Just download it from that link with the 300 flashable zips and flash it if you want to go back to stock.

This would be overkill It would work fine, but would be overkill. Just download DroidSans and flash that if you want to go back to stock.
Well another way, is to use Root Explorer or something similar and replace the fonts manually through there. Its not that hard and you could also back them up like that. Just have to make sure permissions are correct.

[SOLVED] Flashable Font Packs - Won't Install
Took me a while today to get it down, but works great!
BTW you can't flash with CWM. I tried every possibility on Atrix today with Tenfars. My guide does however work.

Well, it seems those CWM packages aren't compatible with the Atrix.
However I created my own package, and I successfully changed my font to Choco Cooky.
ChocoCooky CWM.
Here you can see how the font looks like.
Also I made one with the stock fonts, just in case:
Stock Fonts CWM.
If you don't like Choco Cooky, just download one pack from this thread, extract it, and replace the fonts in my CWM package with the ones you like.
Have fun ^^.
<edit> Edited to be nice! Please next time read my full post and see that I already said those font packs will not work with Tenfars CWM. Also, it's not the font packs which are not compatible with the Atrix, it's Tenfars CWM which is not compatible with the font packs. My instructions after much trial and error state to extract the font files from the font pack zips.

You're wrong. I changed my fonts through Tenfar's CWM. You're the one who should fully read the posts. Just flash one of my CWM updates and you'll see they work perfectly fine.
Maybe you didn't properly edit the CWM updates.
Think about it, if we can flash themes through CWM why we wouldn't be able to do the same with fonts?.
And to clarify a bit more, I said anyone can use one of my CWM updates as a template to flash any font they like just by replacing the fonts inside them.
I don't know why you got upset (I read your last post before you edited it). Maybe because I successfully created a CWM update to do this, and you didn't?.
Try the Choco Cooky one, and you'll see it works perfectly fine. Then you can flash any font you want through CWM.
Also, while your method might work for you, its a pain. CWM is allways cleaner, quicker and easier.

Font formats for SGS3

First off this is my first android device, so I'm a little confused. Through google searching everyone seems to be recommending an app that requires root for changing fonts, however the stock sgs3 can change fonts itself, so first off is this a sgs3 thing or an ICS thing? And how can I import a windows font to use on my SGS3? Is it a different file type than the .tff? Thanks!

Look for the FlipFont thread in the themes and apps section. Those are in apk format so all you have to do is install the fonts like an app and they will show up in the font settings of the phone.

Yes its rooted
Am using Cosmic Rom
Latest xposed installer installed and busybox installed
As you have xposed install you might be able to use SystemUI Icons which allows you to change every images from the system UI apk. The only problem is it's a bit long to change each icons one by one. I may be able to make an app to automate the process, but I need to find time for that. You could try using SystemUI icons for now and I'll tell you if I've found time to make an app or if I find a quicker way
Hope that was helpful

Ok I took a bit of time to see how I could manage to automate the process, for now the app is able to get superuser rights and access the SecSettings.apk file in System/app, now I need to see if I could modify the apk without decompile it. The problem is I have a lot of exams these weeks so it might take some time before I can finnish the whole app. I'll tell you when it will be ready

Fonts for Substratum

Hello,
I created this topic just to help out my dear friend Tytydraco, in this topic everyone can request/submit .ttf fonts. Make sure that if you upload a font it has to be .ttf so Tytydraco can add them to his Samsung System Mods font collection.
Check out Tytydraco's phenomenal Substratum topic:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8/themes/mods-small-collection-tweaks-t3657118
How to request a font?
Send me a PM which font you would like to get added to Tytydraco's font collection.
How to submit a font?
Send me a PM with a link to the zipped archive and I will upload them to my Google Drive where Tytydraco can easily download them. Make sure that every single font has to be .ttf to make me them work with Substratum.
Please keep in mind that these font packs are not 100% perfect, there might be some fonts missing.
Here is my Google Drive font folder link for Tytydraco:
https://drive.google.com/drive/mobile/folders/1taRyVyc7XLfYiHu8hislawmtVP2SvCUg
Fonts uploaded so far:
Gill Sans, Helvetica Neue, Oswald, OnePlus Slate, Roboto Condensed, Barlow, Dosis, Montserrat, Ubuntu, Raleway
Oh also remember to unzip all the fonts so its just the .ttf files in the folder. that way i can mass download them. Thanks for making this thread!

That's what I did when I downloaded the fonts, the zip archives uploaded to my Google Drive contains only .ttf files, nothing else. Before I upload anything I will double check everything.
And you're welcome my friend.

Ofc you can, but make sure that all of those fonts are .ttf and zip archive has only .ttf files nothing else.
I sent a PM to Tytydraco about custom installers for fonts, so maybe later in the future we might get custom installers for fonts.
I wish I had a laptop, I could make these installers.

Cool. Going to go zip some fonts now :good:
So a lifetime ago I maintained an xda thread and website where I posted flashable font packs for very old versions of android. I got up to over 300 or so. Anyway, when I posted each pack, I also posted the site I pulled the ttf from, but more importantly, I posted screenshots of what each font looked like on my phone.
Check op of this thread
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=801160
Note I havent looked at any of that in years, so I don't know which fonts are still available, but it should be a pretty good resource.

Please share me that method of changing the font to google sans without any error and has the google search been fixed by you? Please reply and share the method
Download zFont3 from Google Play Store, download Google Sans Regular.ttf somewhere, in zFont make your own font using the ttf file you downloaded and stick to the instructions it gives you it's pretty easy.. Be sure to switch back to your region and than back to Mayanmar (or what it's called ) when you're done. This worked for me
you meant Myanmar
anyway, it works as you explained
thanks
