QI USB wireless charger + case combo anyone? - Onetouch Idol 3 Accessories

Anyone add a wireless loop to the back of their Idol + a case to cover it? I'm wondering if a specific Idol 3 case with a built in charger will ever come out?
What about other phones that didn't have wireless charging, did the aftermarket ever come to the rescue with something that looked "stock"?

[Q] Wireless charging

I know this has been brought up before to the extent that the LGOG does not officially support wireless charging but has anyone been "bold" enough to disassemble their LGOG to see if charging pads are present in order to fit the phone with a Qi charging receiver? I have not been able to find a tear-down for the phone yet. The teard-own for the LG Nexus shows a thin receiver with a 4 pin pad and I was curious if this may also be present in the LGOG. Any thoughts?

Samsung spare battery and charger are not Qi compatible?

Hi all,
I'm posting this in case anyone else purchases this gear and thinks they can use it like the original battery that comes with the Note 3.
There is another post in this forum that talked about a 50% off code until June, so I bought this:
http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/cell-phones-accessories/EB-K800BUWESTA
Even with shipping/tax, it only came out to ~$31. I thought great deal.
It arrived and I noticed that you can't use it like you would the original Note 3 battery where I stuck a Qi-enabled sticker on it and could use it to wirelessly charge my spare battery when the main one runs down, figured I'd just buy another Qi-enabling sticker.
Thing showed up and it's NOT Qi-compatible. Meaning, it has no contacts on it that let me attach a Qi sticker. Not sure if it's by design that way but just thought I'd provide a heads up in case anyone else is looking to buy this.

There is two ways to do this,
1 modify the unit to support qi by adding a receiver inside.
2 use a USB receiver or a USB dongle.

1. Are you planning on opening up the battery to do this? Sounds like a lot of work and possibly ruining the battery if you screw it up
2. If you use a USB receiver, aren't you then completely ignoring the point of having wireless charging? I don't think I understand #2 completely.

1 you can open the battery charger that come with the battery and put a qi receiver inside, the battery charger then can be placed on a home transmitter.
2 connect a USB qi receiver through the USB port on the battery charger.
If you actuall want just the battery with qi built in, it's only available for the S3, S4 and note 2, if it's not qi, but supports wireless charging, other batteries are available for older phones models.

G3 wireless charging, any solutions?

So, part of the reason i bought this phone was the built in wireless charging. Well it was a big surprise to me [emoji30]when i got my new Qi charger today, and it wouldn't work. I never thought that it wouldn't be built into the battery cover.
So has anyone found a inexpensive, not the ebay 120.00 battery cover, way to add the charging into backs that came with our phones?
You can get the Verizon Wireless Charging Circle case for 59.99
Well, looking for a replacement back or just the qi receiver sticker, I'm not a fan of the flip cases.

I feel the same way. I don't want the circle case, but i really want Qi charging. I guess we will have to wait for them to release a Qi charging backplate only.
Guess this is what i get for getting a phone on day 1 that it's available. I just wish that they would have come out of the box ready to go. Wondering if we can modify one of the adapters from another model phone to work temporarily?

I'm thinking with minimal tweaking this could be made to work.

How does it interface with the phone (both this pad and the G3)? Does it have pins on the case and battery cover?
Yes there are 4 pins on the phone case that should connect to the battery door, but only the two for nfc are being used. My thought, i could easily make an adapter to connect if needed. Minimal soldering to the temp receiver coil.

Qi adapter and wireless charging

Hi guys! Anyone tried to charge our Kenzo with a wireless charger using a qi adapter? I've tried three different adapters (regularly working on a ****ty Samsung a5) and two wireless chargers and I can't understand why my Kenzo doesn't really even try to charge. It seems like that battery is protected or metal body interfere with the induction.
Can anyone illuminate me? Anyone tried successfully?

Qi Wireless charge enable your device

Go get one of these:
Qi Adapter
Plug it into your charge port, and just use a sticker or electrical tape to stick it to the back of the device, then slap that bad boy back in its case.
Your Nord will now charge on any wireless charging mat.
I suggest Spigen cases, but that's just me.
whats the charge speed since it takes your usbc port
