anyway, what you need is "logo.bin", so download "logo.7zip" and extract it so you'll have "logo.bin"
if it is not working i don't know who wrote the thread

[THEME][TWRP] Nexus 10 TWRP Curtains

Hey all. Got bored with the default N10 TWRP boot curtain so I made some of my own. Inspired by z31s1g's "holofied" TWRP themes and curtains.

How to replace the curtain.jpg in the TWRP recovery image.
1. Download the Android Image Kitchen.
2. Extract it into any folder.
3. Drag your Nexus 10 TWRP recovery.img onto the "unpackimg.bat" file.
4. Go into ramdisk\res\images\.
5. Replace original curtain.jpg with one of my replacements (rename to curtain.jpg).
6. Go back to the starting folder and click "repackimg.bat".
7. Flash the resulting "image-new.img" from fastboot (from CMD: "fastboot flash recovery image-new.img" [without quotes]).
8. ???
9. Profit.

[HOWTO]Change boot animation

This is a short simple guide to changing your boot animation. It requires root, and an OEM version the Huawei Ascend Mate 2. You can do this on other versions of the phone, but the directories are different.
The best part about changing your boot animation is that it gets rid of the sound that I am always afraid I am going to hear in the middle of a movie theater randomly.
Personally I am using the stock Lollipop boot animation here:
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",

"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
You can use other 720p animations. Beware, a few different ones have given me bootloops on Lollipop. The one I have provided should be safe.
Using the root explorer of your choice, navigate to "root/cust/normal/us/media/" you should see a file there called "bootanimation.zip", rename this to "bootanimation.zip.orig".
Copy this file here to the same directory as "bootanimation.zip.orig" and rename it to "bootanimation.zip"
Change the file attributes to match the original file. It should look something like this:
At this point you should be done. Reboot and check it out.
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
I have had trouble in the past with boot loops after changing the boot animation. As in, a one time thing, some boot animations just don't work for whatever reason. If you can't boot after the above steps...
To revert to stock:
Boot into TWRP, go to Mount>Enable Cust or Custom Storage(if you don't have the "cust" partition as an option, you will need to flash this version of TWRP through fastboot
Go to Home>Advanced>File Manager
Locate the directory root/cust/normal/us/media/
Delete "bootanimation.zip"
Rename "bootanimation.zip.orig" to "bootanimation.zip"
Reboot
Click to expand...
Click to collapse

[BOOTLOGO] INVERTED! Moto G: blacked and updated

I've made a custom bootlogo in black background and a totally inverted one (manually made: inverted 'Moto' logo first, then inverted 'powered by android' and filled the white background with solid black colour to prevent aliasing). I've also updated the logo to the Moto G4 Play one as I've made a black edition for it too and it's the one I own.

How to flash?
From recovery:
- Download updated_black.zip
- Put in phone and flash like any ROM.
From PC:
- Download updated_black.zip
- Download and install Motorola's USB Drivers: http://www.motorola.com/getmdmwin (Windows) or http://www.motorola.com/getmdmmac (Mac), if on Linux no drivers are required, just install fastboot and you're good to go.
- Download and install fastboot ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979 ) or enable platform tools from Android SDK Manager.
- Unpack the .zip file you've downloaded.
- Open a Terminal (Linux / Mac) or CMD (Windows), point your terminal to the folder that you've unpacked the .zip file, then type:
Code:
fastboot flash logo logo.bin
Once done, type:
Code:
fastboot reboot
And you're good to go. Enjoy your new boot logo .
Wanna do one by yourself?
Check this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/themes-apps/app-motorola-boot-logo-maker-source-t2848667
Which device to pick?
None, just open the logo.bin file, make changes and save. Hope you want to share your creations here, in this thread or in your own. But, please, give me the link, I love those customized boot logos .
Ask for any other logo if you want, I'll try doing my best :highfive:.

As you can see, I had successfully add all of the Google Apps into the "non GApps" system.img (MediaTek rom), but after I booted up my phone, the annoying notification shown up. But this doesn't happend to the original rom
So this is what I did
1. I download the rom from NeedRom
2. I download the Google Apps from https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347821182
3. I unpack the system.img using this tool from the forum
4. I delete all of the "china parts" from the rom
5. I copy the GApps from step 2 to the system unpacked folder from step 3
6. I repack the system with the same tool from step 3 and apply the rom into the phone using SP Flash Tool
Finally the phone came up with the alert notification
BUT there is a small detail that I notice while I was playing around the Auto Tool v3
( This is the part when I unpack - repack - unpack the file :3 )
Is there anything that I can do to remove the annoying alert? Even if I have to apply the rom again.
P/s: this is the file_contexts I pulled out from the boot.img if someone wil going to unpack the system.img
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1RTsnBzcaa5UGNwSE1SRi1LRXc/view
The alert also shown up when I rooted my device and only when I unroot it (I use KingRoot)
Thanks to everyone is going to help me

HELPP! CanĀ“t open my deivce firmware.zip file to extract boot.img.

Hi, so i got a simple tablet, Multilaser M7S Lite, and i want to root it, my main goal is to be able to edit System folder, i want to change the boot animation, mainly.
So , since there is no TWRP recovery for this brand, i decided that the only way, was with magisk patching boot.img. So i found my deivce firmware - https://www.stockrom.net/2021/04/multilaser-m7s-lite-so06-v7-20200509-8-1oreo.htmland download the .img file. So to extract the boot.img, i need to change it to .zip file and open. But when opening it it says the following:
And using 7-zip, it only extract this files :
What can i do?
The firmware-package file you linked to is a .RAR-formatted archive.
When you unpack this .RAR-file then you can see a ML***USER.img is housed therein what is tablet's Stock ROM.
To unpack this .IMG-file you may use sim2img provided here:
[DEV][Tools] simg2img for Windows
Hello, although I'm working in Linux (VM too) I rewrote the SIMG2IMG so far for Windows (PE32, x86) Usage: simg2img.exe -i -o Optional: -d for debugging messages, listing all chunks of the image...

Running sim2img, it says bad magic.
It's the full firmware but is it an allwinner or a rockchip or... These tabs can be like whatever. Check that first then google how to extract etc.
I found this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...images-unpacker-packer.1753473/#post-28329544
SOO i manage to unpack it!!
Which file i use in magisk to patch?? boot.fex?
