I just upgraded to android 5 and now I cant toggle the sound to silent? Or add a sound toggle in the quick settings notification drawer?
Any tips on how I can get this option back?
Anyone know why they removed the silent option?

Does anyone know how to link ring and notification volume in 4.3? In 4.1.2 was easy because you had a lot of options: Jkay, Quick Settings,... However, now any of this options works.
For me, control both volumes is essential and I don't know how android haven't introduced this option yet ...

In AOD, there should be 3 menu above clock (notifications & battery, music control & quick toggles for wifi etc), however mine only have notifications & battery and music, while swiping again only to show empty slots (no quick toggles), how to turn it on?
I have music controls and quick toggles besides notifications, maybe try with another layout?

i figured it out.. i disabled lg quick tools in package disabler :silly:
after enabled it back and restart now it shows
I'm new to the Samsung phones and can't seem to get notifications to show up on my lockscreen or get the led to flash. I know you have to set this up per app in settings but I can't seem to find an option that allows for this with notification sound turned off. I'm especially having issues with Twitter and Gmail.

If your profile is "silent" or "vibrate", the notification sound won't come out.

I bought a Xiaomi mi 8 and I got the MIUI Global Stable 10.2.1.0 update. Now I realized that all the notifications are getting bad default configuration by default (for all application).
All the notifications emitted by all applications are always getting the same settings :
no sound
no lockscreen permission
no floating notification
no notification led
It sound stupid to me because we are forced to miss the first notification of each category of every app before being able to change the settings manually.
Even worst, some applications creates new notification category for every new notification. As it is not possible to configure notification for a category that is not yet created, there is no way to enable them.
Is there a way to change those notification settings to have sound, vibration and lockscreen permission by default for all notifications of all applications ?

yeah lots of things regarding notifications are ****ed up since the android pie update.
For example you CANNOT change the notification sound for emails/gmal anymore.

That's the second most annoying thing about the "new" notification system of MIUI 10.
But the default notification settings are even worst. You won't be notified at all if an app create a notification of a new category when your phone is locked.
Anyway, still looking for a solution...

i have just buyed a new P20lite. Before i had a samsung galaxy a3 2016.
I have problems with the setting of the sound and vibration setting.
At some apps (e.g. WhatsApp) it works correctly:
If i change the mode in the Quick-Settings
Quick Setting Sound -> New Messages are with Sound and Vibration
Quick Setting Vibrate -> New Messages are with Vibration
Quick Setting Silent -> New Messages received silently.
But with Outlook or GMail it will not work correctly:
Quick Setting Sound -> New Messages are with Sound (NOT with Vibration)
Quick Setting Vibrate -> New Messages are with Vibration
Quick Setting Silent -> New Messages received silently.
I want to have notifications with both sound and vibration. Is it not possible on all Apps?
I have enabled the Notification sounds and Vibration in the App settings. But it will not Vibrate in Sound mode? Have I missed a setting?
