Just did the install over OA6. It worked out with no problems and rooted via TWRP. Just remember to power down before running Odin or you won't get the full update. Thanks for posting the file.

Flashed in Odin over OA6 stock deodexed (didn't wipe). Works fine, didn't have to reinstall any apps. Rooted through TWRP with no trouble.

Quick question. How are you rooting with twrp? I don't see the option to root

I flashed TWRP then booted into recovery. Then I went to reboot and it pointed out I didn't have root and offered to root and install SuperSU. I accepted.

Has anyone flashed this over the OD3 De-odexed version?
Will it matter if you Odin the Stock Odexed over a De-odexed firmware?

There isn't one that I know of. If you tell TWRP to reboot the system, it will ask you if you want to root the phone if it detects that it isn't currently rooted.
You would need to install busybox separately from the play store.

This did not work.
I did an Odin of OG1 over OD3
Most seemed to be good but broke Data and Wifi/Internet
Even tried doing a factory reset and activation and wifi/internet would not work
Had a TWRP backup so I restored that
Odd thing is I'm on OD3 with the OG1 modem and everything seems to be fine -- go figure
I'll wait until I hear more results from other people or maybe a newer revision - OD3 is working fine for me

You have to enter download mode from a powered off state. Pull the battery, put it back in, and then flash. Otherwise you will have modem issues (wifi/internet).

I did.
Powered off, pulled the battery, did the Odin of OG1 over the OD3 De-odexed
Rebooted - let the rom do its bootup thing, no internet, no data
Even did a full phone reset - no wifi/data - weird.
TWRP restored my OD3 backup and phone is back and working - the odd thing is that the internet/data
is working fine now with OD3 and OG1 modem

Ok if your on of6 you can still run Moars.
And you can also with this rom. I'll post instructions when I get home about 2 hours. You have to flash twrp.img in odin
After flashing this. But you can't reboot during the 2 flashes. Must odin both from a powered off state both times. After flashing twrp. Img power off the phone by pulling battery. Boot into twrp recovery. Then from in recovery hit reboot. And it will ask if you'd like to root the phone you choose yes.
Then upon reboot you'll be Rooted. Next download Moars. Zip and flash Moars in your twrp (custom recovery). Tada
I'll get you the files if you can't find them when I get home.

Try wiping internal before the odin flash make sure auto reboot and reset time are unchecked in odin. Or you possibly have a bad download.

The download provided OG1 is firmware, right? I have TWRP installed already...I pretty much have it...beyond that

I'm a bit of a newb to this, so can somone help me please? My objective right now is to get root on my S5 G900P, I dont care if i can get root only or have to flash a custom rom to make this happen, I'm currently on a stock OD3. I have tried to use chainfire to root my device but it fails, I just tried to load twrp-klte into it, it fails also. Can i load this firmware on my OD3 and try to root it via TWRP like others have said? Thanks

Rooted and booted.. Stock rom.. ??

og1 FULL ROM
here the links to Odin 310.6 (thanks to tdunham for the files)
twrp.img are the 2 files
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=15340
odin this( rom AP slot) from a battery pulled powered off stat
make sure auto reboot and reset time is unchecked in odin
when the screen says pass Dont reboot.
unplug it and pull the battery and put it back in download mode manually
the flash twrp.img file in odin also ap slot (again make sure auto reboot and reset time are unchecked in odin
when it says pass. reboot directly to your custom recovery you just flashed.
hit the reboot button once recovery opens at that point it will alert you that you aren't rooted and would you like to obtain root. say yes. and it will reboot( Rooted with custom recovery). from that point you can flash moars through recovery or what ever custom rom you'd like.

Interesting looks like firmware...i.e. OD3, OA6, OF6, and now OG1 which are firmware in contrast to MOAR... which is considered a ROM...meanwhile thanks for your assistance...waiting for MOAR to boot

For whatever reason, I had to Odin twice to go back to stock.
Here is what I did:
1. Boot into recovery, wipe everything
2. Odin file, don't check automatic reboot
3. Once its done, pull battery, boot into stock recover, do factory reset
4. Reboot into download mode
5. Odin file again
This is exactly what I did and I received the update.
Edit - I used the original NAB image which was 4.4.2. It then automatically let me update via Sprint to 4.4.4, and then to 5.0
When using Odin, always make sure to power down your phone completely and then press and hold volume down, home and power at the same time. Then press volume up to confirm download mode.

I actually had to Odin 5 times before it would boot the last time I went into recovery and wipe data and factory reset the Odin nk4 tar. It finally booted but still says system status custom so when I check for updates its a no go.
I was running rooted SPRINT KK 4.4.4 N900PVPUDNK4 and now I'm on Lollipop w/ root and TWRP 2.8.6.1 (4.4.4 version) recovery. My steps:
1. Odin'd stock NK4 tar using Odin3 v3.09 in the AP slot (kept Auto Reboot & F. Reset Time checked).
2. Let phone reboot. Skipped all the setups.
3. Powered down phone than booted into stock recovery to perform a factory reset.
4. Once phone rebooted I went to 'System Updates' and let the OTA do its thing. Phone rebooted.
5. Powered down phone and rebooted into bootloader (everything showed official)
6. Odin'd TWRP using Odin3 v3.09 in the AP slot (UNCHECKED Auto Reboot & F. Time checked).
7. Pulled battery and rebooted into recovery (TWRP).
8. Flashed Chainfire's UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46 and rebooted.
9. Successfully rooted.
Is there a way to download the update and just flash it in stock recovery?

thnks , but i already have NK4 . looking for lollipop 5.0 tar file.

OC5 update questions?

ok I odin back to stock NH7...
took the ota to NK4...
then took ota to OC5..
everything is cool but a few questions...
Does cf auto root work on OC5 I didnt see the file on his site?
Which recovery works best CWM Philz or TWRP ? and im sure i need a lolipop compatible one?
Waanum xposed for 5.0 ready yet?
Root, debloat, and enable wifi hotspot are usually my main goals...
Definitely looking for a Lolipop hotspot Mod?
Is it just me or does the notification panel have to be touched at the top to be dragged down? ( All previous builds I could set a gesture swipe down to bring down notifications.
I mean it doesnt work on NOVA or Lightning Launcher?
So cf auto root for oc5 yes,for recovery I'm using twrp 2.8.6.1 and is working just fine, and so for right now exposed is not working on samsung based roms but if you have an aosp rom even if it is for samsung it may work and for free wifi hot spot you can use galaxy tools(idoneapps) i don't remember about notification panel since I'm on darklord rom.

[Q] Note 3 will only boot to sprint logo on stock roms?

I just got myself a note 3 for sprint, and it had the OC5 Lollipop update on it. I flashed CF-Auto-Root on it, and it booted up fine. Used it for a bit, and then I tried putting TWRP on to flash Xposed Framework. TWRP flashed fine, and worked fine, but now the phone will not boot into the stock rooted rom. I have tried flashing the factory image again, that didn't fix it. Even tried flashing a kitkat factory image, and that didn't work either. The only way i can get the phone to boot into the OS is if i run a custom kitkat rom, and then everything seems to work fine. So where can i go from here to get the factory lollipop rooted with a custom recovery working?

I'd say go back to NK4 and then accept the update to OC5 and root.
You'll need these files, please thank the OPs of the threads.
NK4 tar from [Odin] Mirrors for Official Samsung Tars for MJ4, NAB, NC5, NH7 & NK4
twrp-2.8.6.1-hltespr-4.4.img.tar from TWRP hltespr page
UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip from [STABLE][2015.02.13] SuperSU v2.46
Copy SuperSU zip file to your sdcard.
boot to recovery and factory reset, wipe partition cache and dalvik cache.
Then power the phone off from recovery.
Boot to download mode Volume Down + Home + Power ... then Volume Up.
(from the OFF state, booting into download mode from a ROM or recovery never works correctly when using odin)
Using Odin 3.09 flash NK4 tar, let it reboot, it will take it a while to start the first time.
when the phone restarts, unplug the usb cable.
you can skip all the setup stuff and then get the ota to get back to OC5; Settings, System Update, Firmware Update
once ota is completely done, power the phone off
go into download mode
odin the twrp tar (uncheck everything in odin)
once odin says pass unplug the usb cable and press Volume Up + Home + Power until the phone vibrates and you see the blue writing - this will get you into recovery w/o having to pull the battery.
flash the SuperSU zip file.
reboot to system, you should be on OC5 stock rooted.

[ROM] OD3 Stock G900P Sprint full tar file odin flashable ONLY!

just thought id put this up since i haven't seen it posted.
this is the full OD3 stock Rom tar.MD5 file
it is odin Flashable.
I will warn you alot of people are saying once they upgraded to this bootloader they couldnt get OA6 roms to flash so beware.
any download mirrors would be appreciated
Here is another link but this one you have to unzip then use Odin to flash the tar file inside thanks
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=61215093
download
use odin 3.10.6 but i believe 3.10.0 will work also
put the file in the AP slot and flash
you will most likely lose root but here it is any way
https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=cd08ce789eb6b040!141
It should be noted that if anyone flashes this firmware they will NOT be able to flash back to a previous firmware.
i will also note that some people could gain root with chainfire and flash custom recovery through odin then restore backups of OA6 but again beware

Wasn't sure about chainfire's root method on this version since I'm not running it, so hopefully it still works. @Ramer has uploaded this as well to a file hosting site so if he doesn't see this, ask him for a link for his download link so you can add a mirror site to the OP as an alternate if you like.

Here the file I put up on AFH: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23991606952615017
I have to question the title of this thread though. This is NOT flashable in recovery. It's the zip file that must be unzipped on a PC and then Odin the tar file. It's the original one from Sammobile.
The OP gives correct instructions, I just think the word flashable is bound to confuse someone.

also in the instructions it says to open odin use the ap slot etc

You are correct. It's probably just my hesitation to using the word flashable and odin at the same time. I've lost count of how many users see a zip and think "I'll flash this"
Tried this and I still show BOA6 software and baseband ? Also after I installed it on odin I didnt like it much so I was able to flash MOAR after I flashed OD3. weird
Can we please get screenshoots??

Already installed MOAR 6.2 .

Looks exactly like BOA6. They just added some extra security features like activation lock to the security settings.

Yes. Once flashed don't reboot. Pull the battery and go back into download mode and flash twrp. Img in the ap slot
You can find the file at Moars op under recovery and odin
After you flash the custom recovery image pull battery boot into recovery from recovery hit reboot. It will then prompt you that there's no root and would you like to root. Choose yes. Tada
Sprint GS5 Moars 6.2
I did as instructed, but the TWRP that i loaded did not ask for a root option, it did some updates, then it automatically reboots the phone, I pull the battery, then reboot it back into recovery again, and reboot it back into recovery from the recovery screen, it ask me to install super user, i say yes, then reboot back into system now it has a icon that says Superuser installer, I click on it and choose TWRP, gives me error

[ROM][ZIP] SM-G900P OG1 Stock Rooted Deodexed ROM v1.1

Hey everyone!
Here is the promised almost 100% stock deodexed ROM. This build differs from the odexed build in that it is now deodexed, comes pre-rooted and deKnoxed.
This is a stand-alone ROM that can also be used as a base by anyone that would like to use it for their own ROM.
REQUIREMENTS:You MUST be on a Lollipop bootloader in order for this ROM to work. I recommend flashing the OG1 Stock TAR and then Philz Recovery through Odin prior to flashing the ROM.
ROM FLASHING:- Boot to your custom recovery (recommended recovery is Philz Touch v6.41.6).
- Wipe Cache.
- Wipe Dalvik Cache.
- Wipe System and Data (Under "Wipe Data/Factory Reset" and then "Clean to Install a New ROM" in Philz Touch).
- Flash ROM!
- Enjoy!
*Please remember that Lollipop and Deodexed ROM's don't like to play nice with each other and require some time to get acquainted before the ROM will boot. It is not uncommon for the first boot to take between 10 and 20 minutes!
As a side-note I would strongly recommend flashing Tdunham's Debloat tool before running the ROM for the first time. It comes with a TON of bloat (thank you Sprint and Samsung!). You can get the Debloat tool in the attachments on this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/spr...ent/stock-rom-od3-android-l-deodexed-t3128908

I'm not sure why it does that sometimes but when it does your can either dirty flash the ROM or flash SuperSU. That'll get you back on track. Sorry!

Flash this in recovery and you'll be good to go. It's Chainfire's SuperSU installer.

To have the Odin flash of the stock TAR stick you need to boot to download mode from a complete powered off state. Once you have booted into OG1 then you shut down completely and then boot to download mode again to flash a custom recovery. Once you've done that you can flash the ZIP of this deodexed ROM.

What recovery are you attempting to flash? You should be able to flash a TAR version of the recovery via the PDA slot in Odin. The key is booting to Download mode from a completely powered off state.

Shut your phone down, boot to download mode, plug in USB and flash this Philz Touch 6.41.6 One-Click I created. If that doesn't get you a recovery we'll go back to the drawing board.

I wish. Unfortunately Samsung changed a lot of things with the introduction of Knox and although we can make them rooted, Knox somehow wipes root out after boot. Flashing a deKnoxed one-click with the new setup causes bootloops.
To make it more fun with the S6 Samsung made it so the tools we used to make the one-clicks no longer work period. We're seeing what we can do to work around everything but Samsung is making it much more difficult for us to do anything.
