It's made to be put on top of Empty Galaxy 4.4.2 Rom but will work with any 4.4.2 Touchwiz Rom, although some things may not look complete.

basically no
if you have nk4 bootloader you can revert to nc5/nk1 and use safestrap to flash this ROM.
if you are on oc1 bootloader, you can't flash this ROM at all due to the fact that the oc1 bootloader can only run lollipop touchwiz ROMs
don't try to flash directly from oc1 with flashfire either way.

Pretty much anything before OC1 is safe I belive, but yeah mdk was the only unlocked bootloader. The others need safe strap. Even with Flash Fire I couldn't get it to work on the OC1 ota.

I tried Lollipop again last week. I still do not like the way it looks and it still has way too many bugs.
Before trying Lollipop again, I was using the EGRa442lpr ROM. This ROM ran for months with no problems and very good battery life.
Today I tried the I545EGR442_vSTKTW.zip Stock Touchwiz ROM. So far it also appears to work flawless.
The empty galaxy 4.4.2 versions are perfect for my needs. I keep trying other ROMs but keep coming back to the 4.4.2 NK1 empty galaxy.
Reggie, I do not know what I would do without your excellent ROMs. Thank you so much.
Well I hate to ask but is anybody running the green/vMNSTR apps with this rom? I'm thinking to finish it but I need at least one other user..

I tried flashing the Monster zip with flashfire and got stuck in a boot loop. Tried battery pull and multiple reboots to no avail. Lost root, Had to odin NC5 kernel then towelroot, then odin NK1 kernel. From there I had a flashfire back up from 7-1-15. Might be a flashfire thang boss? Sorry I wasn't a better tester for it.
I do believe it to be fire flash but the Monster zip is Apks only, so if you weren't already on a full system/rom then that makes sense you'd boot loop. If I'm not mistaken there is something that needs to be done to make the script flash fire ready. I'll have to look into it if no one chimes in with an answer.

What is ProjectOdex?
- ProjectOdex has has a few different series currently. There is a Stock
Rooted ROM that includes all of the new deodexed extras (ported over), and a
RallyStock (RS) ROM that is a stripped down/bare bones ROM that has all of the
deodexed extras (ported over) included or as a separate flashable zip.
- ProjectOdex is a project that is dedicated to making odexed ROMs with all the
extras that deodexed ROMs have and with all the speed that odex has to offer.

This ROM?
- This ROM is a stripped-down barebones ROM. It only includes the
absolute essentials and was made to LACK many things. I could simply build a
ROM that is stripped-down with all of the things that I want still included, but
everyone is different.
- LIST OF REMOVED ITEMS HERE (Currently 761 Files and 71 Directories)
- Stericson's NEW and UNRELEASED BusyBox 1.21.1 comes pre-installed and
is properly configured for init.d and is located in both /system/xbin and
/system/bin.
- This ROM (VRUAMDK) includes a COMPLETLEY Unsecure (or Insecure) Kernel (or boot.img).
- This ROM (VRUAMDK) has a loki'd boot. You can find it in the ROM (if you UnZip it). It is called
"boot.lok" and is 7.9MB
- This ROM (VRUAMDK) also has REAL WORKING init.d support. You can literally drag and
drop your scripts into the folder, and it will work right out of the box.
- This ROM also has Infinite Scrolling enabled in the TW Launcher. So you can scroll
through all the HomeScreens Infinitely.
- The ROM, by default has a script in the init.d script in it that underclocks the
CPU to 1674MHz. It is just as snappy with this script. Odex makes everything
run so much smoother and I personally think the CPU is overkill for most things.
- If you dont want the CPU underclocked, just go into your init.d folder with a
file explorer that has root privelages ( "/etc/init.d" ), and delete it.
- The stock restore file (firmware) for this device (SCH-I545) is currently around
2.5GB. I always use my own sources when building ROMs. Meaning that I return
the device to stock, then root it, and then pull/create my own images
(.img's/ext4's) from them. Then I use them as my basis for the ROMs I build.
- The size of this firmware is ALOT compared to the Note2 and the S3. As I was
able to get those ROMs down pretty small, this one was a great task and the
hardest one o have had to work with. I literally removed around 2GB of extra
stuff that was on this device.
- This ROM isn't for everyone. If you enjoy all of the extra bloat and options on
your device, than this ROM isn't for you. UNLESS, you know how to add and
remove apps without downloading them from Google Play.
- I am happy to take requests for flashable zips (to restore things that have
been removed) and to help in anyway possible in aiding you to make this ROM
exactly how you want it.
- This ROM contains init.d scripts. It is always a good idea to remove any and
all init.d scripts when changing to and from ANY ROM (not just ProjectOdex).
Init.d scripts can cause issues when changing to and from ROMs. So just
make sure to wipe out all of your init.d scripts before you flash over this ROM
(or flash this ROM from any other ROM with init.d scripts).
- This ROM is bare, and the idea is for you to have a solid (but small)
foundation to build from. It was made so you can start from scratch and add
only what you want.

Does this ROM still have the notification toggles and TW camera? If so, that's all I need and this sounds like my kinda ROM! Just the fact that you were able to get this down so small is awesome! If you could make a flashable zip that included the AOSP dialer with this (and notification toggles and TW camera, if those are removed as well), I'd be in heaven.

This ROM does have those both, except for the camera. The camera is fully-functional, except for that the only working modes are "Automatic". The other modes are still shown in the camera, but will FC if used.

That would be great! Any and all help is welcome and would help me out a lot. I wanted to release this ROM last week, but I still I'm the process of moving and I don't know when I will be done, so I made some time to get it going.
This is an opensource project as well, so feel free to customize and tweak what you would like (and share it too)

Yep, it's running great! Seems very stable! I put together a few flashables.
Zip to add all camera modes: Click Here.

(I didn't make all of these flashables, I just had them on my PC from flashing other ROM's and tried them with this one and they worked fine, but I can't remember who made them so sorry for not giving credit!). All of these have been tested and work fine with this ROM.
OP, you can add these to the OP so whoever else is interested can find them easier.
I also flashed KToonz's latest kernel to go along with this ROM and so far this ROM is running super smooth and cool. TouchWiz is instantly so much nicer without all the Samsung crap.

Bringing my wallet/NFC issue to the new thread...
The 4.3 modded wallet version was installed before I installed this ROM. However, since I installed using the Aroma full wipe option, doesn't that wipe system and data and caches? Is the Aroma wipe a little unreliable?

Disable it or delete it if you dont use services like chaton samsung video and that stuff.It wont affect core samsung apps. It also helps push samsung updates for there apps through the play store to let you know when an update is available.
I have also found on this rom if you give it a complete charging cycle on the battery the battery use gets alot better

Try this It will fix FC but I dont know if it will break tap to pay function it still shows its available on mine

jrkruse posted this in another thread...MK8 is International Base Rom MJ7 is Verizon base rom. Both are fine. MK8 you can use themes made for the I9505 international version. There is just alot more options for international version and the kernels we use in MJ7 are actually made for the International version. I will be updating MJ7 build this week sometime for those of you who want to stay pure Verizon

MK8 is a much newer base build than MJ7. MK8 is international base As the MJ7 is a Verizon built base. The International version will have some features available that Verizon Blocks. Its easier to theme International version. But other than that there are not a lot of differences.
Runs better than MJ7 on my phone.

so far so good, downloaded and flash last night, its been 8 hours and itching to go back to Sinless GE Rom lol
Sorry for the delay, pc issues, then tried to brick my phone, LOL. Yeah most people probably converted to GPE, but not enough stock roms around, IMHO. Too many mods. I used to use bugless beast, now have this phone. Rooted and S-off'd the week I got it, but never found a rom worth trying (Other then GPE). With this being a close to stock tmobile build, im excited to try it. (Want my kitkat, and not all the bloatware associated with it. (Still not as bad as VZW,LOL). Thanks for all the hard work!! Busy with pc also, but will report back. Just posted to say 'Thanks' and to give it some more life here.
Very nice! I wasn't able to receive the 4.4 update OTA.. it would just get stuck "Checking..." for an hour, so I set out to do it myself.
Are there new radios/firmwares that I should look into flashing with 4.4? I'm going to flash the pack from behold_this shortly to be safe.
I've been running this for over 24 hours and it's going very well. Very smooth. I LOVE being able to use Google Wallet again, just like I could with my ancient Galaxy Nexus.
Couple things I don't particularly like..
Not as good battery as I had on 4.3. I'm still tweaking my phone and monitoring it's battery, but I've got a lot of strange wakelocks and the phone stays on a lot. I'm flashing a different kernel in hopes that it will improve, but I'm sure just waiting out the first few days would do wonders all the same. I wish there was an NFC quick button on the status bar. It's still stock, I understand, but I'd love to be able to change the lock screen.
Overall I'm loving it, will likely flash it to my fiance's phone soon, too.

I'm on MK2 with Safestrap. I installed this as instructed, but in getting a reboot about every 5-10 minutes. Any suggestions? I love the ROM, playing with it between reboots.

Im running the same setup I had 1 random reboot after the rom installation about 10 minutes In to playing with it but since then it seems to be fine
maybe try and install it again

Super nice rom man. I love it I had 1 random reboot after installing it but its good since (bout 6hrs now)
Only 1 question In the sub menu in settings
(the one that has downloadable mods for the ROM and the status bar mods Ect.) Is there anyway to get that text in English? Aside from that 1 of the best TW roms ive tried.

This is really a clean fast rom

I have a SCH-I545, 4.3, Build MK2, and although I flashed the MK8 patch & MK2 modules before booting the rom the first time it runs smooth fast and flawless on my phone with excellent battery life. I loaded and run this in my Safestrap "stock" position on my phone with no issues.
It's very clean and uncluttered and straight forward operation.

I'm on MJ7 build and I flashed the rom onto a brand new wiped slot, flashed the patch, then rebooted without flashing my module yet. The reason being that, for me, the modules don't usually take if I flash it right after the rom on initial install. I go through the initial setup, skipping most everything, then reboot to recovery, flash my MJ7 module, then reboot to get my wifi going. I didn't have any random reboots.

bobby did u flash the mk2 modules again? their cooked into the rom but that might help. otherwise clear out your data or resinstall the rom again it shouldnt reboot at least i didnt have any issues if it continues grab me a logcat up until the error and ill figure it out. but ya love this little guy you guys that are on it mind posting screenshots for people?

cool donations are accepted this ROM hasnt had much attention yet couple hundred downloads no thanks or donations from here tho...
but yeah we would have to translate that mod and that'd take a long time. i uploaded a collection of the mods i had tried successfully from their group tho and posted them just unrar the file to your sdcard and install sorry no description or reversal of mod is available

I re downloaded and re flashed on a clean ROM slot and all is well. Thanks for all the help guys. This ROM is awesome.

Oh now this looks tasty. Hoping to hear some feedback from others on how this baby runs. I've used R3Ds rom on my thunderbolt years ago and it was solid. Just haven't made the leap from 4.3 yet with the all the issues going on.

When you say older rom, you mean just before you themed it or is it a previous build? I love this port but prefer stock theme and/or anything but black. lol Thanks man.
Or is there a flashable to revert to stock theme perhaps?

Strange how everyone is different. Black is ask I like. I run as many inverted apps and settings as possible. Used to run r3's roms until he joined nebula and stopped updating his inverted one. His stuff was ALWAYS rock solid.
I have this installed on 2 phones, and I can't seem to get WiFi direct to work. I can connect, but when I try and send file, it crashes settings. Is there an easy fix for this?
Here is my initial findings with this rom. Stock everything, clean install.
- android vending FCs ( went away after awhile and haven't came back)
- Reboot 8 out of 10 times doesn't work ( just bootloops, pulling battery allows it to start.)
- Stock Camera took a crap during this whole journey and now system ui FCs (aftermarket camera do work, this is even after clearing data on the camera and reinstalling)
MD5 verified, and this ain't my first rodeo. Just reporting what is going on for me. YMMV
