Galaxy Grand Prime SM-G530RA - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

U.S. Cellular device, is there ANYTHING about this phone available? Would like to get firmware for it but most if not all searches relate to G530H.
Any help appreciated...

I guess I'm safe to assume there is no firmware available for this as of yet.

Any word on a root for the SM-G530RA?

[Q] NO United States stock ROMs?

At the thread everyone keeps linking for stock ROMs, http://http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1113928 there are NO US stock ROM's, let alone for my carrier, T-Mobile.
What's up with that?
Also, when I try to dial the *#1234# it from that post, my phone says Unable to Process Request, so I can't do that to help find the right ROM.
None of the US carriers use the original I9100 hardware, so they have their own ROMs and their own forums. For example, the Galaxy S 4G forums are for T-Mobile USA's variant of the Galaxy S II; you should be able to find ROMs there that will work on that device.
Got it thanks!

[Q] Question: Installing other region/model Official ROMs

Hello. Very quick question I'm hoping someone might be able to answer definitively. I picked up a Galaxy Note 3 Neo today (model SM-N507) which is the Taiwanese version. It has only been updated to 4.3 whereas some other territories are on 4.4.X. My question is, would it be possible to flash one of the Official Firmware builds from Sammobile and NOT risk bricking the phone?
For example, in the event that the flashed build has different LTE bands, would a problem like this actually brick the phone, or would I (theoretically) be able to use it, just without LTE? I am willing to experiment so to speak, so long as it doesn't actually prevent me from using the device.
In the past I had purchased a Hong Kong Galaxy Tab 7.7 that wasn't updated to JellyBean and flashed a Malaysian Firmware without a hitch, but in said case the model numbers were the same. With this, I would be flashing SM-N505 or such.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Troubles with US Cellular S6 Edge

I've been doing my share of reading and have come to many dead ends. Here are my troubles with my recently acquired second hand US Cellular Galaxy S6 Edge:
-Bootloader: I've looked in many websites trying to find a way in which I may check the status of my bootloader. I don't know whether it's locked or not and would like to have it unlocked if possible (OFW 6.0.1)
-Unlocking bootloader: just to be sure I was unlocked I tried using Crom services to unlock my bootloader (the apk) but it crashes before opening. I also tried to find the app in the Samsung App Store but it just won't show up.
-Flashing firmware and downgrading: I haven't found any concrete information as to whether it's possible to flash firmwares from other carriers and or downgrade to a lower android version (marshmallow to lollipop) and if so what the requirements are.
I would appreciate any input on these topics. Thanks a bunch! :highfive:
I am having the same problem. Any updates?
It seems us cellular model gets no help on xda. Why are their no custom kernals or roms for us ? ):

Way to get Samsung Pay working in US?

Hello! I'm trying to find a way to get Samsung Pay to work on my Galaxy A80(Latin American model). I know generally the solution is to flash US firmware, but since no US model exists I can't exactly do that.
