I have purchased Huawei Honor 6 Plus yesterday, and the phone looks promising. I had sony before and I want to take some of the apps+data from my sony into my Honor 6 Plus. For that I need to root my device. Can anyone here tell me how to root a Huawei Honor 6 Plus device running android kitkat 4.4.2? Please be more specific and in easy layman terms. No chinese mishmash is allowed.

Quick question will rooting the Huawei MediaPad T3 8.0 also disable the carrier sim lock? I can't find anything online which says if it will or not but I know previously with other android phones I have owned this has been the case...

Before creating this post, I've read several topics on this forum to learn how to debrand Honor 5x. Unfortunately I was unable to debrand with success my phone. So that's why I ask your help today.
For information : I have 2 Honor 5x KIW-AL10C92B443 (chinese 3GB RAM variant) and I've bought a Honor 5x KIW-L21C432B370 (Europe 2GB variant) to try to debrand with.

There is a ROM called FlymeOS 6 that is meant for Honor 5X/GR5 that has AI capabilities and is very battery friendly. You can try it at FlymeOS.com/firmware or get the Chinese version with full working app store at flyme.cn/firmware
