During the my last attempt to decript the boot and the recovery images from one new Zopo called Speed 7 (Zp951) octa core Mtk 6753 3gb Ram,
i receive this message from the Carliv v.1 program:
This errors appear during the boot decripting and during the recovery decripting.
If i Check well with other tools like "Bigrammy tools or also Yuweng tools" but i do not remember well who is the owner, i see that in the new boot and recovery is present the Kernel compressed and the ramdisk compressed.
kernel.gz
and
ramdisk.gz
If i decompress them the kernel became too big more than the 15 mb.
I tryied to leave it so big in new recovery but flashtool not recognize the files recovery, maybe i'm have passed the memory block ...but i don't know well.
These are the two files:
http://d-h.st/a380
What happened in these new two files?
Possible that mediatek create new compression?
Why these two files are compressed?
...
According The Great Carliv seems that in the Images (recovery and boot) probably isn't present anymore Mediatek header .

Still have no Speed7 (waitingfor it), so I can't help right now. This message is just to let you know I will be contributing to this thread as soon as possible .

TWRP
@ghost45 ported my UMi TWRP v2.8.7.0 so give it a try :fingers-crossed:
Download Here from Copy.com

@bigrammy: Original recovery is 8.27 MB, yours is 13.47 MB. Do you think this fits? Right now I don't know the structure of the Speed7-ROM, but I think other parts of the ROM have to be moved. Can you upload the scatter you used so we can have a look at the allocation? Thanks.

64bit SoC recovery partitions are generally 16mb in size.
I do not have the zopo speed myself. Maybe ghost45 could upload the scatter as I assume he got the .img's from a stock rom.
EDIT: Scatter here http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/?id=11352#downloads

Your recovery start but do not run the touch at all and do not run also with the volume button.
So is unusable for now.
To the contrary my cwm run well but i must check well the memory sectors to understand why the sd ext is not seen.

No problem we both have PC issues
The company PC's block lot's of content :crying:
It sounds like you have the same issue as our Elephone P6000 with no touch function.
You will need to ask zopo to fix the touch in the kernel...

hi,
2° test Cwm modded :
https://copy.com/QQxDjuqIf0CCzA2S
in this second is not visible no one memory...(no SD internal and SD ext)
But i must have more time to check the memory sector!

Hi ,
finally i have decompressed the Big Kernel and i have reduce the real dimension.

About the source... I know that Mediatek seems will release them in the next month... But i don't know the real date.
About the help to build one new rom is always one great and good idea to change opinions and to change hands.. Yes.

Hi bro,
Just some advice here as we have already been down this road with the Elephone P6000.
1. CWM recovery is pretty much dead as of KitKat 4.4.4 and is not supported in Lollipop 5.0 > so any CWM recovery's are likely to have been compiled using KK. This means they will never be 100% perfect for your Lollipop 5.1 device.
2. The TWRP I have ported for you is obviously working and has been compiled for Lollipop so If you had a working touch I am sure it would be 100% perfect. :good:
So what should you do ??
1. Get on to Zopo and demand they fix the touch in the Kernel I would guess it's a goodix GT9xx touch screen the same as the Elephone
2. You could still use the CWM to do most things like flash supersu.zip to root etc etc.
3. You could probably use TWRP with a Mouse and OTG cable too.
4. Once rooted you can use wanam's Partitions Manager Here To back and even restore you partitions but it's a little slow Thread Here :good:
5. Last but not least use SPFlashtools for backup and restore. :good:
Regards bigrammy.

Hi Bro,
Thanks for the answer, but actually we are waiting for the source from Mediatek.
When i will have some little time ...first, i want to create a new porting with cwm to have, almost, one recovery usable.
After yes probably we must studied these new sources....when their will arrive.

Known issues
- minor: screen capture is not working.
- minor: poweroff from recovery when usb is connected reboots into recovery, however, offline charging from rom is fine
The Note 3 version seems good, so I do not expect many issues here
Please test:
- mount USB storage on PC
- USB OTG mount and format to exfat/ext4 for testing
- Backup to exfat sdcard or USB OTG

Take your time, Phil. :good:
Today I had hardbricked my tablet.
I had been trying to develop a new root variant for P605.
TWRP seems also slightly buggy. After a full wipe my tablet died.

Good luck in RMA also
Can't wait for this to work properly either.. TWRP seems to stop me from flashing a pre-rooted ROM, kind of a must for a worthy ROM imho..

Version 6.04.3 Alpha
http://d-h.st/users/philz_touch/?fld_id=29981#files
This is a repack around a pure stock ramdisk, like I used to do with Samsung devices.
They often work better this way to start with
It could have some selinux issues, but those we fix later, once we get it boot into gui
State was moved to Alpha to reflect it is early debugging and untested
Noobs should stay away for now
I love you man!!!!
Thanks for your great work, to my, one of the best recovery.

TWPR is working perfectly whit pa
Do you plan to make an update to current version?
I can update it for you if you want. I don't have the device though so I need a good english talker to give me some info about the device.
EDIT: I ported latest TWRP for your device. Need someone who can test it and tell me if it's good. Do not worry worse it can happen is not boot. No hard-brick dangers.
Sorry for long silence everyone, now isnt need for update. So maybe latter or if someone find bugs in my build.
Can I install future builds by Varcain with this? Or I'd have to install the new CWM?
I think that it will work with new builds...

Does it (TWRP) have Loki integrated like CWM? If no then it won't work - unless you lokify the boot.img inside zip manually. I am switching to new release method and it also depends on recovery being able to Lokify the boot.img when needed.
Thanks, you need to patch that boot.img. I was thinking that every roms would be already patched before compresion.
Sent from my LG-D605 using XDA Free mobile app
I will be thankful for pushing code at github, so we can stay up to date. If you decide to not publish your updates, I can reinvent wheel and make some ugly hack, that do same work in TWRP.

OnePlus Two OXYGEN OS for Grand2

Dear bros/siss, I am an old member of this forum but never happen to me to write any thread. I do read about threads but i am not that genius like our devs, but since i have strong desire about my phone's appearance, i would like to tell you two thins:-\
1) I want oxygen os of one plus two phone which should work without any problem and steps for noobs are very very clearer. Also,it should work on any platform version like 4.3, 4.4 etc.
2) An official/unofficial CM 12 with zero (0) bugs.
We, all users of Grand2 have invested approx rs18,000 to rs21,000 to buy. But nowadays, every mobile phone, costs around 10000-15000 has got CM and many more, but still we are fighting for CM for these continuously 1.5 years. Please i request you guys to raise a positive voice to our DEVs to make these OS as we are awaiting for too much. Kindly share this thread.
Your loving friend/bro.
Thanks.
Hi sorry this is not the right place to ask for roms or things there is a separate section for questions and answers I came here for fora one plus 2 rom you may mislead many people like this so kindly ask things in the questions and answers sections thank you @VECTUS kindly remove this thread or move It as It may mislead at people thank you
here
1> On the TWRP recovery installed on your device, Download the OxygenOS ROM zip file and save it on your desktop.
2> Now extract the folder on your desktop and you will see two different files in the folder. Oxygen_1.0.0_Flashabdle.mdf and Oxygen_1.0.0_Flashabdle.zip. You need a zip file.
3> Step 2. After this connect you phone to the PC and Move the Oxygen_1.0.0_Flashabdle.zip file on your phone.
4> After this turn off your phone and boot in recovery mode. TO do this Hold Volume down button + Power button.
5> Now you phone will boot in recovery mode.
6> Now after this select Wipe option and and delete Cache, Dalvik cache and data.
7> Now go back and Select Install option and ‘choose zip from sd card’ from the Options.
8> Select the OXygenOS zip file and confirm the installation on next screen.
9> After the flash succeeds, you can reboot the device.
10> Enjoy.
So does the rom work? And were is the link to download the flashable zip?
its for oneplus one phone only and i want to know about our phones. so i wrote here coz may be any DEV can help us... link i missed but can be searched o google.
You are 100% right
Maybe its not the right place to ask but the important thing is that devs should read this
I`ll tell you something my friend ... we have few devs and almost of them not so talented ... they could import easy roms (like gennext ) but they cant build roms without bugs so dont expect too much ...
The truth sometimes hurt ... but we still love our devs and support them

Your problem is easy to solved
BUY YOU A (ONE PLUS TWO PHONE)

Have a good day
Hahah Correct Dom...
1st The Hardware differ's far apart in both devices...
2nd CWM or TWRP won't even start the zip installation(I suppose so)
3rd Even if it were to start, it will eventually fail giving you message about weird sh*t you don't know
4th You Dare to try it and fu*k your phone... You get a boom, The chips and Mother board are fu*cked up...

I'm using a oneplus two and its a great device. But a major problem with it is that the stock ROM of the phone that is the OxygenOs is too buggy and so the oneplus users are moving to custom roms. So, I would recommend cm12.1..
In addition to this the features of oneplus devices and grand 2 is also very different so it will very difficult to port it.
So in short I can say stay with whatever you have right now. Its the best available at the moment.
Hit thanks If I helped!!

Yes the updates have fixed some bugs but still it's buggy for me and some others. And if this ROM is ported to other device then it will be a house of bugs.

[GUIDE] Helper zips to switch between OOS 3.0 and OOS 2.2.1 firmware

At the moment we have rather dfficult situation because custom ROMs based on AOSP (such as my AD which is not yet public) require previous OOS LP firmware, while OOS 3.0 includes new MM firmware which breaks both older recoveries and custom ROMs.
As I need to switch between OOS 3.0 and my AD quite frequently, I created two helpful flashable zips so I can do that easily, and because it's useful for me, perhaps it'll be useful for you too.
Download: MM | LP
Instructions:
- Download the firmware you want (or both, if you want easy switching)
- Unpack downloaded zip, you'll find firmware-update.zip and recovery.img inside
- Put both of those files on your phone, in appropriately named directory such as "firmware-LP" or "firmware-MM"
- When you will need to do a switch, simply firstly flash firmware-update.zip, then flash recovery.img as recovery image via "flash image" option in TWRP
- Reboot to load new firmware
That's it, this way you firstly flash chosen firmware version, and then TWRP recovery that works with it.
So if you have two TWRP backups - one of OOS 3.0 and one of CM13.0, make sure that you have proper firmware (and recovery) after restoring backup - LP for CM13.0, and MM for OOS 3.0.
Situation should soon improve (when OnePlus pushes kernel sources, and MM-based ROMs will rebase), but until then it's wise to keep both of those firmware + recovery combos on your sd card, so you can do a switch without any problem on as-needed basis.
Hope it helps. Try to be careful with those, if you mix up wrong recovery with wrong firmware you'll need to flash proper recovery.img variant via fastboot. You can't hard brick anything by using those files, in worst case soft-brick if both your recovery and your ROM will be for wrong firmware you have.
Have fun.

No sir. I do not know. Once I tried downloading a build from the below location and tried flashing it but recovery didn't allow me to flash it.

I don't know why is it failed. My knowledge about github and making builds are limited.

ok so i will explain you when you download that file you have to unzip it and then you will have a folder with another folder (if you choosed unzip in archidreoid etc.zip so inside that folder you will have the necesary files (view the attached screenshot) you will have to pack them in a zip file
hope it helps but try to download the latest file to do that cause last time i tried the oneplus2 archidroid there were things that dint work such as ad filter

Lost recovery
Hi sir,
I have flashed MM using the TWRP recovery as normal. But now I have lost my recovery. I am not able to boot into any recovery. Pls help.
JustArchi said:

Creating custom rom for Lenovo Tab 2 A10-30F/L

I'm looking possibility to make custom image to Lenovo Tab 2 A10-30F/L but i have stuck.
system.img is divided to system_*.unsparse files.
one user has done unsparse file joiner application but it doesn't work and no sources available from it. https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2647429
I have also looked different custom rom kitchens but those doesn't have any file joining solution for joining unsparse files.
Not sure if this is a common method for qualcomm products to have system.img divided to unsparse files.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Would it be possible to unpack system.new.dat and repack it as system.img?
https://forum.hovatek.com/thread-15855.html
I unzipped the TB2-X30F_S113_160816_ROW_FULLOTA rom and can only see system.new.dat, not system.img. Where did you get the system.img from?

I have downloaded SW from here. https://cloud.mail.ru/public/3Kcw/Mm9WDWTWH
I have unzipped TB2-X30F_S000113_160816_ROW_qpst.7z and it has system.img divide to Unsparse images.

Probably not an issue. If i remember some other forum correctly that FULLOTA update fails if you have rooted your tablet.
Also same problem that i have with those unsparse files but it seems that for system.new.dat there seems to be solution.

Lenovo Tab 2 A10-30 doesn't have Mediatek chip.
It's using Qualcomm 1.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 212 (APQ8009) processor with a Adreno 304 GPU

I'm following the above guide in order to build Lineage 14.1 for my Lenovo Tab A10-30F. The guide is intended for Lineage 13.0, so a few minor tweaks are needed. Will keep you updated here, but it's the first time I try to build Lineage from scratch, I only do it because I softbricked my tablet, and I don't manage to find a build for it, so I'm not very optimistic
EDIT: I gave up, it does not look too difficult, but unfortunately I underestimated the amount of time and disk space needed, I need to switch to a better machine... Could someone try?
I found this thread, but I think the device it refers to is different.
It looks strange that nobody built lineage for this tablet though... it's a good piece of hardware, cheap and functional... Did I search in the wrong places?
Up
News anybody?

I have installed this rom today on my TB2-X30L and succesfully tested Wifi, mobile data (LTE/4G), camera (photos only - video does not work) and even FM radio.
I tried to make a phone call what of course did not work.
It´s an unofficial build from July 31st, 2019 (meaning only 5 months old). Security patches from July 5th, 2019.
14.1-20190731-UNOFFICIAL-achilles
Does anybody use this ROM?
Or any other ROM with current security patches?
I actually gave up with Lineage on this device but just because I turned it into a kind-of ebook reader: I removed all the crapware and set it to bare minimal functionality for reading scanned color pdf (D&D manuals mostly) and with the original firmware this yields a monstruous battery life. Like, I can forget it for weeks in my closet and pull it out still half battery
Guys for that tablet the latest custom ROM is lineages 16.0 and the latest twrp is 3.1.1
ROM: https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=7161016148664803115 (tested working fine , RIL not working)
TWRP: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Z5g-AJXypO0b-_pvJR8TMk7I9cAyREa9/view (tested evrythink working)
