How can i set my lockscreen to pattern after a time limit but use swipe till then? - G 2014 Themes and Apps

I understand we can use the time out settings in security to delay pattern lock for say 10 mins. But i want the normal swipe lock for that 10 mins instead of having a phone without lock screen. and after 10 mins of non usage it can enable pattern lock as usual. Any help or leads would be so helpful!

Under the lock screen settings, there's an option called "Power button instantly locks". It might be what you're looking for. Disable it and see if that's what you want!

Try using tasker with secure settings plugin..... Or IFTTT......

[Q] Screen lock at certain times of day?

Is there an app out there that allows you to have the pattern lock at certain times of the day? Like for example, during the day I don't want the pattern on because I am constantly using it. But at night, while I am sleeping, I would like it on. Is there an app that will turn it on and off at certain times? I have tried Delayed Lock, and not exactly what I am looking for So, is there such an app?
Thanks and Merry Christmas!!
I use Tasker combined with the Locale Secure Settings Plugin to disable my pattern lock when i'm connected to my home WiFi network. In your case just set up 'Time' as the first context and you'll be able to disable the lock at whatever time(s) of the day you want.
This thread from the Tasker Google Group should help you out

Swipe Lock screen question.

Hey all- I've been using the HTC EVO for the last couple of years and just got the Galaxy S3 on Verizon last week. I'm trying to figure out how to do something on this phone that I was able to do on my EVO, and that's to have separate time out values for the Swipe Lock screen vs. the PIN password lock screen.
I sync my phone to my corporate Exchange server and they enforce the PIN lock screen, which is OK with me. I've set the timeout value to maximum settings (13 minutes), but what I still want is the ability to have the swipe lock screen enabled for anytime I turn off the phone with the power button and then turn it back on so that I reduce butt dialing, etc... But I can't seem to configure the swipe lock screen to come up except for it to come up at the same time the PIN lock screen is activated.
In the security settings, there's the option to enable unlocking "With swipe lock-Use secured lock with swipe lock" and I've selected that, but the swipe lock screen only appears when the PIN lock is configured to display. I want the swipe lock screen to appear independently of the PIN lock screen. The swipe lock should appear anytime I turn on the phone, but the PIN lock screen should only appear after 13 minutes of inactivity. The EVO had this option, but I can't seem to get the S3 to do it.
Any ideas?

[Q] Tasker re-enable keyguard

I want tasker to turn my screen on and unlock the screen so I'll go directly to the homescreen. I don't use a PIN or Pattern lock.
With secure settings I'm able to turn on the screen and disable the keyguard, at which point you already are at the homescreen. However the problems start when enabling the keyguard again (because when I don't, it will never have a lockscreen).
When I let tasker re-enable the keyguard it automatically goes to the lockscreen again, so it's useless.
Does anybody know a workaround?
Thanks!

Lock screen behaves different in Marshmallow

After the Marshmallow upgrade, I have noticed something is now different in the way the lock screen behaves: Before Marshmallow, if I had the lock screen set to knock code, and say, a lock timer set to 5 minutes, after the screen went off, if I turned the screen back on before the 5 minute timer, I would have to swipe to unlock. Now, in Marshmallow, once the screen goes off (timeout or manually), as soon as I turn it back on, it goes straight to the home screen, and does not ask to swipe to unlock. In fact, the only way to see settings for the swipe to unlock is by setting the lock screen to swipe. If I have lock screen set to knock code, I can't even see the settings for swipe, such as the screen swipe effect, or the shortcuts for the lock screen. That was certainly not the case before Marshmallow, where I could set up knock code, and at the same time, set up swipe effect and shortcuts, to be used before the timer for the secure lock kicked in.
It is not just my phone. My wife's G3 is now doing the exact same thing. I am curious if this is by design, or a bug in Marshmallow. I kind of liked the swipe to unlock before the timer engages the knock code. Without it, you don't get the swipe screen, therefore you can't quickly see or use the shortcuts, and also you don't see a quick glance of notifications, and I'm also afraid the phone could accidentally make a call or something else if in my pocket.
Has this happened to you? thoughts?
Same here
Updated this morning and noticed the same thing and since my work email enforces a policy that makes me have a PIN, I can't even switch to swipe lock screen temporarily. The option is grayed out. Plus, I hate the PIN lock screen white buttons.

Prevent APP from Verify Screen Lock status (Enable / Disable)

Hello guys...
Is there any way to avoid that an app verify if Screen Lock is set to enable or disable in the Settings??
Long history short...
is an application that obliges me to have the Screen Lock Enable with a pattern or a fingerprint..
now .. I use the cell phone as GPS when I drive... so I can not be entering passwords or making juggling on the screen every time I press the POWER button ..
so Is there any way to avoid that an app verify if the Screen Lock is enable or not?
:-(
