1) Download the atached files:

2)Install on your device the following aplications:
-"USB Debug" in order to enable USB Debugging (open and enable USB Debugging) ("\\Root kit\me.tennkia.apr.apk")
-"ADB Wireless (no root)" - wireless adb
("\\Root kit\Useful\ADB-Over-WiFi-Helper\helper\Helper.apk"
Launch the aplication and a IP will be displayed. (In my case was: 192.168.0.15:5555)
2)Open "cmd.exe" from Root Kit folder and type the following commands:
adb connect "192.168.0.15:5555" // enter between " " your device IP !!!
adb devices // it is used to check the connection (The conection should be listed)
adb push zergRush /data/local/ // This method uses zergRush
adb shell
chmod 755 /data/local/zergRush
/data/local/zergRush
### if finished succesfuly type the following:
adb connect "192.168.0.15:5555" // enter between " " your device IP !!!
adb remount
adb push su /system/bin/su
adb push su /system/bin/
adb shell
then insert:
chown root.shell /system/bin/su
chmod 06755 /system/bin/su
ln -s /system/bin/su /system/xbin/su

2.1) Add application which will be automatically installed after factory reset:

Note: The applications you wish to add with this command should be added inside the root kit folder. ( Right where is :"Superuser.apk")
2.2) Delete unwanted aplications:
adb shell rm /system/app/"ApplicationName".apk
Note: Use the following command to view the default aplications on your device:

hi, my phone ulefone armor 6e, I cannot upload firmware because the computer cannot see the phone. I tried all methods on 3 different cables and 3 different computers, in normal mode and fastboot mode, the computer does not see the phone. I installed the drivers properly, but when I connect the phone to the computer, there is no reaction or movement in the device manager section. The interesting thing is that the fast charging feature is lost. It also charges slowly when I plug it into wireless charging.
So i m trying this way, wifi debug and root using adb. but attach files not here, what can i do? please help

Check ur charging port is in good condition or not.you had mentioned about slow charging,this is because ur charging port of ur is not good it may lead data transfer not able to work properly .
1. Better check ur charging port in service center about the data tranfer not working

[Tutorial] x10mini Linux helpers

Hello
Like some other guys i use linux on my PC. If you want to change your x10mini via shell you can do it but its not very confortable.
I made a few tools so it's easier to use.
Note: This "tricks" are only usefol to you if you are a little advanced with linux and want to "work" with your x10i via shell. I tested it all on a Debian 64bit but think most parts are universal.
1. Putting adb to /etc/bin
First of all you should put the adb-binary in /etc/bin/ so you can access it like every other cmd. You can use the binary in my attached tar or the one from SDK. use "sudo cp adb /system/bin/adb" (if you have a system with sudo, eg debian & ubuntu)
2. adb: error insufficient permissions for device
If you plug in the phone and want to connect via "adb shell" it may says that you don't have permissions for device. There is a workaround:
- Create file /etc/udev/rules.d/51-android.rules
- Put the following in the file:

- restart udev "sudo service udev restart" (again this is debian&ubuntu-only)
if you still got "insufficient permissions", i made a little shell-script "adb-fix-permissions" attached in tar-file
3. bash-completition for adb
Bash is really annoying whitout completion. That means you can just start to type a word, then press [tab] and bash complets it for you. For example you type "adb ki[tab]" and bash complets it to "adb kill server"
To get this you need "adb_completition" from my attached zip or from here. Put this file in /etc/bash_completion.d/ and you got it.
example command to copy it:
"sudo cp adb_completition /etc/bash_completion.d/adb_completition"
4. Some keys not work in adb shell
This is a known and annoying bug. Eg in nano text editor you cant use the [enter]-key. There is a (little unclean) workaround for it: start a telnet-service on the phone, forward ports via adb and connetc to your phone via telnet. You will need telnetd from the attached tar. And your phone needs to be rooted.
- Remount system writable:

Did you click on he runmefirst.bat? if not then do so.
Unplug and plug your device again and try.
In my experience i've had to deal with 2 machines that did not want to work with adb having troubleshooting them for hours. Hope that is not your case, in any case you will have to install adb in another computer and try there.

You didn't say one way or the other, but if you didn't put adb into your system variables, you will need to change directory (in command window) to the folder you adb.exe is located.
however... it still says

^Have you pushed parted and the other files to /system/bin while in recovery?
Go back to the other post where i explained what commands to run and to mount /system (i even explained that) so you don't ask the same thing over and over again.

I`m still getting permission denied, copied files to sdcard(won`t allow me to copy to emmc), chmod 777 sdcard, chown...no fun at all, 3 days just wasted to that f..ing nook which doesn`t want to boot any more.

2. On the tablet, go into Google Maps, touch the GPS icon ("locate me" icon) on the top right hand corner, and then touch the BACK key to exit.
3. On your PC:
adb shell "echo ro.kernel.qemu=1 > /data/local.prop"
adb shell "rm /data/local/calib.dat"
adb shell "mv /data/local/calib.dat_ /data/local/calib.dat"
adb reboot
5. Once the device has fully rebooted, on your PC:
adb shell "mkdir /data/local/lib"
adb push files\lsm_disabler.ko /data/local/lib/
adb shell "insmod /data/local/lib/lsm_disabler.ko"

It's a pain, but not impossible to repair this situation, see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=26964465. I've emailed the author and I hope future versions won't trash the system so easily.
After all this, I'd suggest download Titanium Backup for Root users, backing everything up, and uninstall the all the bloatware that came with the device. Read up elsewhere about Titanium Backup.

1.) I use the F-01D but I don't live in Japan. One of the gripes I've been having about this tablet is that there doesn't seem to be anyway for me to get firmware updates unless I go there. Once rooted am I able to use Market Enabler to fake a carrier and update my tablet?
2.) This is slightly off on a tangent but since I can't find much English material about this tablet anway I might as well ask here. Another one of my gripes about the tablet is it doesn't seem to handle video very well. even 720p video doesn't play smoothly on it. On most of the software I download, it seems hardware acceleration is not enabled? Is this a hardware issue, or is it blocked by the software. And if the latter would rooting the tablet help resolve this issue; or is there any other solution? From what I've read the OMAP processor in this thing should easily be able to handle 1080p video right?

Just wanted to say thank you again. The rooting worked perfectly, though it took me a while to manually type in all the commands. For people who want to try this, you do need to install busybox before any other programs such as rootchecker will properly verify that your device is actually rooted.
And just for anyone wondering - rooting and using MarketEnabler has NOT been able to resolve the issue of not being able to update the software overseas...

From playing around, the requirements seem to imply that you *have to* upgrade via cellular data from a Docomo SIM card, and it can't be done via roaming, so yeah, it seems like you have to physically go to Japan to upgrade Your market enabler idea was a good one, but since you tried that (I'm assuming using the Docomo info), I guess the upgrade app is using a different source to check where you're at. Ultimately we need to somehow get hold of an update.zip (or other file) that can be run through the Recovery system (which does exist!).
2.) This is slightly off on a tangent but since I can't find much English material about this tablet anway I might as well ask here. Haven't tried 1080p, but after some tinkering I did get 720p playing. I use MX Player, and although they said it would download needed hardware decoders automatically, it didn't, and things improved a lot after I downloaded the MX Player ARMv7 codec. Video plays great, but to get sound, I had to run the sound through the software decoder (just tap the music note icon, and choose "Track #1 (S/W decoder)".
On the other hand, I found the hardware decoding often gets stuck (relaunching MX player just gives you a waiting indicator forever)... and the only way to fix it is a reboot. Since this happens quite often, it's incredibly annoying, and I'm hoping an upgrade will fix it. Let me know if this doesn't happen to you. Also have some very intermittent wifi issues, some things work fine (speedtest, etc) but apps like streaming radio, some work fine (spotify) and others don't work at all (di radio). Some things work fine for a while after a reboot.

For everyone (especially if you got this to work) - when I went through the step, I keep getting a "permissions denied" message. Whether it's the ERT4F01D batch file, or typing the commands in... I get "permissions denied".
Did you guys encounter this?

Every step is important, to be done in the exact same order, e.g. loading google maps and pressing the 'my location' icon, etc.

Oh I know... I'm not new to the game. I've stalked these boards for a while now... This is my first tablet though.
I've tried running both the ERT4F01D batch... and the manual input.
I get it from the batch file, as soon as I tell it to "RUN"... "Permissions Denied"
From manual input - LINE 2: adb shell "ln -s /data/local.prop /data/local/calib.dat" = "Permissions Denied"
Like there's some additional admin privilege I don't have. Hmmmmm....
And here's an additional kicker... the tablet auto-reboots each and every time. I've tried it a number of times (started over from the top), same result each time.

So you can move the file in the first step no problem, and just the attempt to symlink gives you the error?
What is the output of "adb shell ls -la /data/local/".
When does the auto reboot occur?

Well... this is getting a little interesting...
LS command - no problem (included image)
Decided to have another shot at it... and I was able to get a little further. Still encountered a problem
Now, the INSMOD command failed... "Operation not permitted"

Do you mind me asking, how did you set your file system to read-write? I have the same error as you were seeing but it's not allowing me to remount as read-write...

Dakedo_Baby, I've looked at your stuff a few times and it's not obvious to me where things are going wrong. I again need some more info to try get a better idea of what's going on:
1) Before the first reboot, let me know the output of: adb shell "cat /data/local.prop"
2) After the reboot, let me know the output of: adb shell id
As for the file systems, well, /data should be already mounted rw, and /system should be mounted ro until you remount it. You can see how each is mounted with just "adb mount".

The command to remount the /system partition as read-write is: adb shell "mount -o rw,remount /system /system"
Of course, you should only be executing that step as part of the given sequence and in the correct order. You won't be able to execute the command until after your first reboot in the instructions, after which adb should still be running as root.

Back to the original topic... what I maybe didn't notice before is that the stock kernel blocks even root users from remounting /system as rw. So in case you ever need rw access to /system again, obviously you'll first have to be root, and afterwards you'll need to "insmod lsm-disabler.so" (as per the original instructions) before you can "busybox mount -o remount,rw /system" (or run any root app that remounts the system partition).

Preparation

The Dirty Work
At this stage, you can run the batch file. Since I don't use Windows, I did the steps by hand, so you'll have to correlate your actions appropriately (I can't read Japanese either, so your guess is as good as mine ).
1. On your PC:

2. On the tablet, go into Google Maps, touch the GPS icon ("locate me" icon) on the top right hand corner, and then touch the BACK key to exit.

8. Congratulations. You're now rooted. Go to the Play Store and download "Superuser" (by ChainsDD) and "BusyBox" (by Stericson). If you decide to buy BusyBox Pro, do not check the "symlinks" option in version 8.0, otherwise it's game over (no wifi, no adb shell, no root, no remount). It's a pain, but not impossible to repair this situation, see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=26964465. I've emailed the author and I hope future versions won't trash the system so easily.
After all this, I'd suggest download Titanium Backup for Root users, backing everything up, and uninstall the all the bloatware that came with the device. Read up elsewhere about Titanium Backup.

Yes, I got external HDD's to work, directly in USB port of stick (but with external power to HDD)
Also, I have a powered USB hub and anything I connect to it works.
For now, I have three problems
1- can't install a CWM , even for RK3188 devices
2 - Can;t find working instructions to obtain ROOT
3 - Can't install a Custom ROM as no CWM manager nor Root

Wow, I never thought it would be this hard to just flash my MK809 III .
The tools and the posts I can find are scattered and it's just hard to get going, as I was not succesful in installing CWM.
Before I do more, I'd like to install a working CWM so I can always get back.

there is a description how to root the MK809 III.

Create a file for udev, for example

Hi,
it's all about adb commands... so if you have an appropriate driver for MK809 III, put the value 0x2207 into adb_usb.ini in your home directory, then you should see the device in adb devices list. Now you can put these commands into the batch file or just copy&paste directly to adb shell.
I can try it under Windows XP, but I have a little problem with the device - hope to boot again after flashing original stock ROM :-/
Ok, my current situation is that I've tried several ROMs, Finless, Neomode, "original" ROM etc... the device was successfully flashed but didn't work, even ROMs that were for MK809 III didn't work. There was only a blank screen / no signal on TV. Only one older ROM worked

[How To] From Ubuntu to Android - Meizu 5 Pro

Hello,
I think some people asked for this, so I wrote down how I did it. I hope it helps for someone.
How to get from Ubuntu on the Meizu 5 Pro to Android.
Here is a little guide of how I installed Android (Flyme, CM and AICP) on my Meizu 5 Pro Ubuntu edition.
My desktop pc is running Ubuntu, so these commands are for the Ubuntu terminal. But should be very similar on Windows, probably.
First, install ADB and Fastboot on your pc :

sudo apt-get install fastboot adb
Connect the Meizu phone to your pc with a usb cable. Then power up the Meizu 5 Pro with both the power button and volume down.
You’ll see a screen like this:

sudo fastboot devices
If all went well you’ll see a screen with an number/letter combination with the text fastboot behind it.
Now download TWRP_3.0_m86.img from http://xep.8800.org/pro5/.
With the next command you are going to flash TWRP custom recovery to your phone.

sudo fastboot flash recovery TWRP_3.0_m86.img
This should be done pretty fast. Power off your phone, and restart it with volume up and power button both pressed.
If all went well you’ll see a screen like this:
Now you can copy paste zip files containing Flyme OS and Cyanogenmod, through your desktop file manager while using the USB connection. Then you can use the Install button on the recovery screen to flash the zip files.
You can also copy files to your phone with adb.
Check if adb works:

I will install Flyme OS on my phone, but the procedure is just the same for Cyanogenmod. The next command copies the file to your phone:

Where is update.zip is the file on your pc, and sdcard is the destination on your phone. Off course you’ll have to be in the same folder as the update.zip if you copy my command directly. If the download is in Downloads and your terminal shows:

That means you are in your home directory. So either navigate to Downloads with cd Downloads, or change update.zip to Downloads/update.zip.
Now go back to the recovery. Press Install en browse to /sdcard/ If the operation succeeded you’ll see this:
Select update.zip and flash to confirm. Reboot. The recovery will probably ask if you want to install SuperSU, but that didn't work for me. I needed to download a different version of SuperSU and flash it to make it work.
There it is: Android on your Ubuntu Edition.

Restoring Ubuntu is a little bit more difficult, but I have done it several times now. Going back an forth from Android to Ubuntu. I made a different guide about it, just now. Here
But it might not be easy for Windows users. So I will try to see if I can make a full backup with TWRP, so people can recover that. But I haven't tested that yet.

I have some weird problem, after flashing CM (everything went fine), I tried to reboot and it will only reboot to recovery.
No matter what I try.
I tried:
Re-flashing TWRP (I can go into fastboot mode)
Wiping everything & re-flashing cm
Wiping everything & re-flashing ubuntu (your other tut, always boots into recovery aswell)
Also tried the reboot option in TWRP, aswell as hard reboot
Tried changing/repairing filesystem of all partitions
Only method that works is if I erase recovery, then system works fine but I do not really want to have a phone without a recovery
Any other ideas?
EDIT:
I just flashed flyme recovery, used the clean option, re-flashed TWRP and now everything is working fine again

<localdir> can be interpreted in several ways:
- If <directory> is not specified, /system, /vendor (if present), /oem (if present) and /data partitions will be updated.
- If it is "system", "vendor", "oem" or "data", only the corresponding partition
is updated.
environmental variables:
ADB_TRACE - Print debug information. A comma separated list of the following values
1 or all, adb, sockets, packets, rwx, usb, sync, sysdeps, transport, jdwp
ANDROID_SERIAL - The serial number to connect to. -s takes priority over this if given.
ANDROID_LOG_TAGS - When used with the logcat option, only these debug tags are printed.

PS: it's better not to use sudo. You can add an udev rule for your device. You can find some advices here.

Storage full after installation
Hi Thank you for the guide, it is very helpful.
I have installed the Flyme OS successfully. But my phone's storage is showing only 25GB and more that 24GB is occupied. Should I wipe any specific partition before installing Flyme?

Search on root of device for folder phablet
I installed the Flyme as instructed and it worked fine, but now the bootloader is (locked, unrooted) and i can't get it to unlock! fastboot oem unlock does nothing, but says ok. How do i get it unlocked again? This Flyme OS is crap.

I tried to get the unlocked loader in many ways, nothing happened. Maybe there are some craftsmen who can do this.
