does anybody know if it is possible to uncheck system notifications of some system apps that are gray out
I'm wonder if it is possible cos I want to stop some system apps like system update and others

Shortly, I received a notification about a system update on my Z2 tablet.
I decided, not to update my device to the latest version as long as I don't know what changes will be done with this update and there is also no change history to be found...
Unfortunately, I now have a symbol for that update in the notification bar and can't get rid of it.
Does anybody know, how to remove the notification/symbol without updating?

i dont get why wont you want to update it as it solves many problems that alot of people are having, especially touch screen issues.
if you still insist to then try the following:
1) launch settings / apps / all / update center / clear data & cache / uncheck show notifications then
2) launch update center / settings / uncheck notifications & disable allow auto downloads
im running ICS 4.0.3 and i am unable to disable any system apps i normally disable all unwated and unused apps to increase performance but cant any idea's why i am unable too? and my app DONT move to my SD card its just says 'cant move to SD' have i done something wrong? someone help please
phone is rooted but still unable to disable system apps :fingers-crossed:

I have a new phone with Android Oreo, and a SD Card containing a lot of images and music. I am facing the following problems:
1.) On the music folder, there exists album art, so I created a file called .nopics in Order to exclude this folder from being scanned. However, the image files in the different subfolders are still visible in apps like Whatsapp. How can I clear the image cache, or force all media to be rescanned? I think the com.android.providers.media system app exists no more. How is this done in Oreo?
2.) Some files on my SD card get the wrong date, not the file date, but obviously the internal (EXIF?) Date is suddenly set to the year 2038, leading to old files appearing as new in apps like Telegram or Whatsapp. The Google photos app is not affected, but all old-fashioned image pickers now show the wrong order. Any idea what may cause this, and how to fix?
Why no answer? Google should be smart enough to implement this by default now, the rescan apps on market don't work, android is such a garbage jail. gnu OS pls
Hi, I just did the update to miui 12 and I notice that we can no longer manage authorizations for system applications.
User applications no worries, but the systems can't anymore?
So basically they can do what they want!
I missed something or we have to go back to miui 11 to get a basic function.

Concerned my 3 nokia 7.2 have been hacked.
Looking under apps then system shows loads of apps, several have multiples such as
Arthur
Circular
Kai
Also very concerning is an app named omacp which searches say is a virus. Along with org.codeaurora.ims
I tried doing a hard reset, I get the no command error then up+power gets restore mode. Clear cache option is missing and factory reset deletes my files but doesn't seem to wipe the os, it takes about 30 seconds to complete.
Are any of the programs I've mentioned malware or spyware and has my rom been compromised.
Please help
Have just discovered the FM radio app can't be deleted and has multiple associated apps. Normal?
When I select data usage under the FM radio app it opens with Android OS as title
Then had massive list of apps including
Key chain
Fused location
Secure ui service
Android system
Sar ui
Is this normal?
