recovery console broken on Archos 70c Titanium - Gen8, Gen9, Gen10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello all,
I recently tried updating my Archos 70c Titanium to Lollipop and started with rooting the device with Kingo Root.
After that I've tried Archtool app and CWM to deploy the custom recovery console to be able to install custom ROM. This somehow gone bad, and now I cant access the recovery console any longer.
Means, either with any app that can boot into recovery nor by pressing the hardare button combination. Both ways do NOT work any longer.
Since regular OS (Androis 4.4) is still properly booting, I guess I "simply" have to install a new custom recovery console.
Can someone share some info or guideline about how to do so?
The Kingo Root seems not to be reboot persistant. Is that correct? Which apps/tool are known to work with Archos 70c containing the Rockchip RK3026?
Any help is appreciated.
THanks much.

Hey all,
I've tried re-rooting the device with KingoRoot and it seems the device hangs on next reboot. At least I cant activate wireless any longer, and thus cant proceed with any other tool.
The next reboot, the device does not boot at all and hangs in a welcome boot logo loop. Only pressing the Hardware reset button on the back, makes it boot normally again. But then rooting is gone.
Anyone any idea how to proceed or troubleshoot.
Thanks for input.

Archos 35 it not boot.

Hi to all! I did a lot of nonsense. I wanted to make a permanent root. I made the last point of the instructions chrulri and the device is no longer boot. I decided to do all over again. But after installing SDE, the device is no longer to enter in the menu recovery and not load firmware. The device simply hangs at the first appearance of the logo archos. What do I do?

Help! Boot Loop or Complete Brick? :(

So a friend recently bought this spanish voxter tab 97 IPS (16GB) and after a few days of usage and several attempt to install a custom ROM, the tablet stopped booting. According to him, he tried loading a "compatibility bla bla bla.zip" file with CMW which I really do not know what it is, and since he did the installation, the tab stopped booting into system. Every time it's turned on, it just stops at the boot screen and nothing more. Although before this, he had installed a custom recovery and had also done a Nandroid backup with the recovery. However, what baffles me is, CMW is no longer accessible through the normal "power + volume up" key combo and I'm quite unsure of how to boot into fastboot.
That aside, I tried booting into recovery with adb because apparently, adb recognizes the device whenever it's stuck at boot screen, this also failed, neither did rebooting into fastboot via adb work. All I need to know is if this device is totally bricked, or if there's still something I can do. If there's any, I really would appreciate every help offered. Thanks..

DOPO d7020 stuck in CWM recovery loop no ADB

So I rooted the device no problems , and I used a generic CWM recovery for RK2918 devices, since I thought thats what it's running
Livesuit Shows no Rockchip device , it is now detecting a A10 device and I cannot load a Rockchip driver for the life of me , in the CWM recovery mode.
1. Is this device rockchip or not?
2. I have no control with volume controls can only press power which reboots right back to CWM
3. Is there a proven recovery technique for this issue?
4. Does anyone have a backup <--- I was installing CWM to do this I belive I may have put the wrong on or
5. The factory firmware image <----- Double powertech site does not even list this tablet.
6. Is there a way to get the device out of CWM recovry mode? Yes I have done a hard reset via the reset button still CWM recovery.
Device is a DOPO 7020 it detect under windows as a D7016 though
Im not sure how to get out of this if I could even gain control of the menu up down to apply an update from zip this would be fine. I can work in WIN. MAC, Linux dont matter just need to get it working agin for my kid. Any help wold be appreciated.

A firmware recovery image would be great
I made the mistake of trying to install a CWM custom recovery on one of these exact tablets. I had the exact same results. As far as I have been able to find, you're pretty much stuck.
did anyone ever get the Dopo D7020 firmware? I have flashed mine that had never booted past the logo, with a similar firmware and it boots and works BUT it isn't Dopo and the camera doesn't work. Everything else seems fine. P.M. me if you need the firmware and I can give you the link. It's better than it not working at all!

[Q] Can't access recovery nor reset to factory settings on rooted device

Hello,
I own an Android tablet KO PARA1 FULL and experiencing a strange problem. This is a chinese atm7029 quadcore tablet (16gb, 1gb ram, without bluetooth, only wifi, bu supports 3g dongle), running android 4.1.1 nad 3.4.0+ kernel, which came prerooted. After some time I've decided to install backup programs on in to make a full backup of the device for the case something would go wrong, and after some trying I descovered, that there is something like recovery for that purposes which seemed a good solution for me. I decided to install CWM, which I managed to install without problems and made some backups on my device. Everything was fine, I did some factory resets through the time, some restoring processes from my previously backup states of the device, was always able to activate CWM recovery menu through Reboot to recovery or through combination of Volume down a Power button...
Until last saturday. I was normaly surfing the internet, reading mails and afterwords I powered my tablet off (it is draining battery in sleep mode, but its another story..). After a while wanted again to write a mail, so I powered it on. In that momet seemed the screen too dirty for me and I tried to cleen it little bit throug the bootup process. Unfortunately I obvious confused the system with it and after boot it was not responding properly. I did not wait enough and after a while powered it off with power key pressed for a long time, to make a new boot.
But when I powered it on again, it stayed stuck in boot logo and did not boot at all. I've tried a copple of times to boot it again with no cuccess, stayed stuck in boot logo for more then 10 min...
Afterwards I decided to make it boot up with the help of computer. I downloaded adb and drivers and somehow managed to make it boot up. I thing I was too excited to see it boot up again, that during boot up process I desconected my device from computer...
My worries were reliesed and I thought it would be a good idea to make a restore from backup to prevent some strange behaviour, so wanted to boot into recovery, but nothing had happened. After some repeated clicks on Boot into recovery button, as well as app called rebooter with nothing happening, I decided to try it out through button combination. It has not worked as well Next try was to reset to factory settings. But when I go through the menu, I can click on reset to factory settings button, seeing warning that I will lost ma data, then I can push the button to make it happen, but nothing is happening. I see only the screen with the button, can touch it 100 times and the tablet stays on, fully funcional. making no factory reset as it done before.
I did a lot of reading and searching, but have not find answer for my problem. I flashed recovery images from my backups (using flashify, flash gordon, adb shell, terminal emulator), from all previously functional states of the device. I refleshed the CWM recovery downloaded from the internet for my chipset, which previously did the job just perfect, with no success...
I am still not able to reach recovery menu. For me it seems like the bootloader would be locked, but I did not find the answer how to unlock it without to be able to start in some recovery state to use fastboot command to unlock it.
Otherwise, my device is functional, still rooted, i can use it without any other problems. But not be able to do recovery from my backups, even do a factory reset.
How can I restore my access to recovery mode? Is it somehow possible?
Hopfully it is not too much information (tryied to follow the intructions and wrote everything I thought would be important to know about) and you will not be bothered to read all my story and pull me out of my darkness with helpfull suggestion.
Thanks a lot in advance
Steve

Karbonn A9 plus phone hard bricked... PLZ HELP!

Hi XDA members!
An urgent help is needed to fix a hard brick problem with my smartphone model. I've searched for my model make in this forum and tried all the methods of recovery relating to Karbonn A9 plus/cherry flare but no success till now...
So, here's the detailed explanation of how my phone got hard bricked:
Originally my phone had a bootloop issue where it would start with the phone model logo and get stuck at the boot animation. It would never go into android. (where it would be detected as an adb device in windows). So, I rectified it via fastboot mode flashing of my rom using AIO flashing tool. Then I delved deeper into the forums here and found out android kitkat update for my phone model. (my current version being ICS 4.0.4). I got ambitious and went ahead with flashing android kitkat using CWM recovery (again, I made sure I flashed the correct version of cwm recovery for my model first before flashing the new rom). CWM got flashed successfully and replaced my default android recovery system and it worked too (although screen would flicker while tool operated). Everything was perfectly going on till now. I was feeling happy to finally run kitkat on my 4 year old phone. My current OS was booting normally, I could go into CWM recovery, fastboot mode as well.
Now, here's where I made a mistake probably! :
I UPDATED CWM RECOVERY TO V6 JUST BEFORE BEGINNING THE FLASHING PROCESS FOR ANDROID KITKAT FOR MY MODEL. Then while flashing, I first decided to test the backup and restore function of cwm recovery. I backed up and restored my current version using cwm. It backedup without issues. But while restoring, it introduced some errors. (yeah, I didin't know cwm reformated the wrong partition instead of the boot partition while restoring the boot image!!! )
Now, my cwm recovery is gone, fastboot mode is gone.... heck... even battery doesn't show up as charging. I tried to press vol up + power button but nothng happens. It doesn't give any vibration feedback after the press. Same for just power button press.
Is there any chance of recovery at this stage??
I know cwm f****d up my phone's boot partition. Also, I searched for solutions to this problem as well here and found the article "How to revive dead Karbonn A9+/CM Flare after JB update". Yes, I tried the Qualcomm HS-USB QD Loader 9008 driver and QPST.2.7.374 tool on 32 bit windows xp (as problems were reported on 64 bit and windows 7 for the above mentioned driver installations, I had to take further pain and install 32 bit windows xp on my pc's second hard disk just to succeed in installing drivers for unbricking my phone..... as I use windows 7..... talk about problem getting bad to worst.... ah!! ) I plug the phone with battery in it to my PC (after successful driver installations) but phone isn't detected in device manager....
I tried everything, I fully charged battery overnight.
Result?? .... my phone is still not showing anything on screen. It's dead. It's not even accepting to charge from the wall. Forget booting or going to recovery/fastboot mode.
I will never use cwm recovery again on any future smartphone of mine!!!! :crying::crying:
PLEASE HELP me with reviving my phone!!!
Or should I give up trying and just buy a new smartphone??
thanks in advance.
