Bluetooth not working X8 MiniCM 7 2.2.2 nAa 2.6.32.61 - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have originally posted my problem on XDA-Assist, but have been advised to ask for help here.

Hi all,
I'm with an X8 having nAa's 2.6.32.61 jb kernel and MiniCM7 2.2.2. S2E is my sd-ext manager (SD is a class 10 Sandisk Extreme 60 MB/s). I cannot get the BT working. I have an indication for on/off, I make it discoverable, I try to scan, but I get nothing or random erratic behaviour (mostly FC/W, occasionally mac addresses instead of device names, once a device name), but never succeeded in pairing and connecting to anything. How can I get the BT working? It used to work on stock kernel/ROM and on stock kernel/GingerDX v031b, and I would rather consider it a SW glitch than HW. Kernel and ROM were flashed/installed strictly according to the instructions in the relevant threads here. The X8 works OC'd to 768 MHz (no UV) with a performance governor, but I've tried at stock speed (600 MHZ) with an ondemand governor - no difference.

Does anybody remember having an issue with the BT and how can I resolve it?
I saw the small note in nAa's post, but is it related to the RC or also to the release?

Does anybody know if 2.6.32.63 XPerience's kernel has the BT working?

[Tests] Improving Speed technics Gen8 devices

I posted in Chulri's thread but here will be better seen from anyone.
Device : A70IT , fw 2.1.08
Is anyone willing to try something I DID and seems to me to give my tablet significant speed increase. I want to check if it is real or just my imagination.
In my latest fw 2.1.08 installed, I flashed 2.1.08 initframs and 2.0.71 zimage (both from chulri files, first post . you know how to : flash kernel from developer menu at boot holding vol- button)
And I set the speed with SetCPU 2.1.1a to 1000mHz both min and max. Also in settings menu I choosed "Overdrive"
Please test and report.
Thanks

Of course it is real, since your tablet will run at maximum speed all the time instead of running at 1000mhz for heavily load task only like default (not count the overclock here). However, it will consume more battery and get hot faster.
If you don't care much about battery life, then it will do the trick.
Before the 2.0.71 zimage kernel I was running at full speed the 2.1.08 kernel. After the switch I noticed more speed gain. That's why I need confirmation from other users.
I have had my A70 set to 1000 min and 1200 max for months now, and I have seen a speed increase, and only a little extra battery drain.

[Q] NEO V - Wifi issue with (Rom&Kernel) KANG TEAM XPERIA AOKP 34-26,4,2012

I installed the Build 34 of this ROM and flashed the sirkay kernel in my Neo V. I am having a strange issue with Wifi speed. It is not slow consistently but it downloads few KBs in good speed and then pauses for 2-3 minutes then downloads the next few KBs. I tried the suggestions in the ROM thread.
a. Search for /etc/tiwlan.ini but could not find a file like that
b. Changing channel from 11 to 1 in my Wifi router, but that also did not work out
c. Tried with the original Kernel same issue
I love this ROM especially with the customizations it offers compared to plain CM 9 with FXP. But due to this Wifi issue am not able to use this on daily basis. Am not able to post this on dev forum as am a N00B, anyone please help
Regards,
Ram
When i updated to ICS, i am also having this issue. now i am waiting and keep searching on every thread for a solution. Because even SONY also be silent on this WIFI issue !!! ...
Thanks for the response. I am not getting the issue with FXP 117 CM9 on default kernel, Wifi works as usual on that. In fact it is my daily use ROM for now.
Regards,
Ram

[Q] MESA Kernel 2.6 - headset not recognized & settings-->applications freezing

[Q] MESA Kernel 2.6 - headset not recognized & settings-->applications freezing
Hello,
i'm using CM10 Nighlties builds for my Xperia Active ST17.
I've tried with some success and really better performance the MESA JB Kernel from an0nym0us_. This kernel is wonderful, and i really thanks the developper for his work.
But on my device, i encounter two annoying bugs :
1st : when i connect m headset (a Phillips Fidelio M1) this one is note recognized with the latest version of the Kernel (2.6) and works perfectly with the old version i'm using (v2.4) (also report here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=35989938&postcount=1432, but no solution ?!)
2nd : when i try to use the Applications Settings, to see the property of an installed application for example, i encounter serious freezing or FC. I tought it was my SD card ('cause i'm using a 64Gb µSD Card) but everything works great appart that. (also report here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=35839687&postcount=1419 but no solution ?!)
Can you tell me what i'm doing wrong, if it's user errors or some bugs in the kernel ?
Thanks in adance.

For the best CPU performance set the min. CPU frequency to 600 MHz in Settings/Performance/Proccessor, and activate 'Set on boot'
Can GP 3.6 support 1200 Mhz overclock ? I read the motorola defy can be overclock to 1300 Mhz.
EDIT :
With conservative governor (1100-600 Mhz), I get a better antutu score than ondemand governor : 4807 points.
Will the bluethoot pan sharing connection work?
I used my omnia i900 with some other devices (like galaxy s3) and it's work but with gingerbread or ICS devices didn't work

If we've the 4.2 Player, will we have to compile the kernel ourselves? Because the kernel does not compile on my computer.

@Androthan is working on CM11 for the 4.2. Compiling just the kernel isn't enough, you'll need a device tree of the 4.2 made for CM11 and build a ROM with that.

The kernel source for the 4.2 player, from my github account, are still under constructions and won't work.
And, of course, you don't need to compile it yourself.
I'll start with porting to 4.2 when the build for the 3.6 is a lot more stable.
BTW, the player 4.2 is off-topic here

I'll try to get it to 1.2 GHz (I already know what to do). But I'll to do when CM11 is a lot more stable.
1.3 GHz seems to be a bad idea, it could burn out the cpu and drain the battery

No problem, but I think it's better to add a new frequency entry, not change the 1000 Hz to 1100 or 1200 for a better cpu throttling.
Like this {300, 600, 800, 1000, 1100, 1200}
EDIT : can we have in the future (priority for wifi and video playback) add more governor ? (interactive, smartass, ...)

It's very difficult to add a new frequency entry but I'll try my best.
Yes, I'll add some governors later, when everything is more stable.

I speak a lot, but I don't now how it's difficult because It's too hard for me =P
The bootanimation is kinda big for our screen. Maybe we can resize it?
Also, the home button in US version doesn't work.
Android 4.4.3
***Android 4.4.3 is out***
Google released the Android update 4.4.3. This update contains mostly bugfixes and improvements (Read more here: http://liliputing.com/2014/06/whats-new-android-4-4-3-kitkat.html) Don't expect any new features with this update. CyanogenMod is currently merging Android 4.4.3 into CyanogenMod 11, so we have to be patient. As soon as this is done, I'll update my local source code.
Expect Alpha 3 in the next 4 to 5 days.
Hello,
Thanks for the work to port Kitkat on the Galaxy Player.
Until a more stable version, is it possible to install ClockworkMod 6 and keep the stock rom (2.3.6) ?
This will permit to root the device by flashing superSu from ClockworkMod ?

Sorry but this isn't possible and will end in a soft brick.
Thanks @Quentinga & @Androthan, you saved me from making a stupidity
I keep an eye on this rom and will test soon.
Does music/video playback work on Alpha 2 ? (not able to use the sdcard space and Apollo crash everytime)
Phone feature is enable like in CM 7.2, or it's disable? (It is)
EDIT: (07/06/2014)
1) If the player is plugged in and switch it off, it will restart.
If, however, is not connected, then turns off simply.
2) In alpha2 there isn't the performance menu in option.
Any news with wifi module ? the awesome @zaclimon can't help you ?
