Likely not, they should have left the screen size at 6 inches. I can't see going smaller now.

Nah, I rather stay 2 years with this so probably the nexus of 2016-17. Depends on how they look ofc. Hopefully by then they will have as well usb 3.1

Any thoughts on it being dual SIM (given the two stickers that on other Huawei phones means two individual IMEIs for each SIM slot)?

I think that it will be very useful for anyone who travels a lot....however I don't have a use for it yet lol

If it's dual 4G SIMs, rather than one being 3G/4G and the other 2G only, that will be even better.
Thus far many devices only offer dual LTE SIM slots on the higher end models (like the Huawei Honor 7, which only has it on the 64GB model).

Can't wait for this device to drop. I currently have the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro, nexus 5 and nexus 6. The 6P will be my new daily driver

Why would you buy the new one? It's rumored to have the same 3gb RAM, smaller battery, smaller screen, same res screen, and a SD810 vs the SD805. I don't get it TBH, the new phone doesn't seem to be an improvement at all.

The Nexus 6P should be revised and better Nexus 6. Not night and day improvement, but a tighter phone.
- Higher DPI screen
- Rumored larger battery 3,450Mah
- Way better build quality over the Moto Nexus 6
- Nicer camera
- Fingerprint scanner
The Huawei Nexus should be a very nice phone. Possibly one of the best Android phones of 2015.

Any word if the new nexus devices will have encryption turned on by defualt? Hate that with the nexus 6

if the Nexus 6P really looks like the leaked images then i rather buy the Nexus 6 of 2014..
cause those leaked images look ugly as hell to me, but thats my opinion.

i am really undecided about buying the "old" nexus 6 that is very good priced (about 410 euros + 75 moneyback from motorola italy) or wait for the new one that will have probably an higher price.
now i am addicted to 5.5" of my oneplus and don't consider to go back to a smaller screen (nexus 5x i.e.).
the motorola offer ends on 30 september, so maybe won't be time for me to see the new nexus and decide to buy the old one....really hard choice

Staying with my 2014 Nexus6 for now! But will try some hands on once the new ones are available....

I had an N6 and have a G4, and whether I drop big $$ on the Huawei Nexus depends on two things: Storage, and availability. Those that remember how difficult it was to get an N6 when it first came out will know what I mean. If Google **** it up and have very limited amounts at release, then I will say screw it and will keep my other phones for a while, or buy a Z5 premium (since it's lethally close to stock Android - I love Sony's UI; it has a micro SD card too!)
I'm praying for micro SD card compatibility in the 6P, but that seems unlikely given the trend of Nexus devices. If we get 128gb of storage - I'm happy. Micro SD means we'll be able to transfer photos and music easier when we flash ROM's and what not, but I'll happily pay a few dollars extra to get more storage regardless. Hopefully those recent rumours about the 128gb internal storage is true, or we get micro SD card compatibility with 32gb of onboard storage.
IMO - the upcoming Nexus 6P is an upgrade if you're not looking for highly increased performance; after all - the 810 is not much of an upgrade from the 805 for gaming, and the 6P will still have 3 gigs of RAM (albeit, I don't understand how people can need more, I understand wanting it though). Those that use their phones for gaming and what not will not reap the benefits of the 6P so much. However, users like me that enjoy a fluid UI (not that the N6 is not fluid, but the 6P is bound to be a tad bit more fluid) and a fingerprint scanner for added security - it'll be a slight upgrade.

Very true...getting an N6...in white and 64gb at launch was next to impossible... More so here in Canada and it really pissed me off.
Nexus launches have always been bad but last year was the worst... I hope the learned from it.

You guys must have forgotten about the historically bad Nexus 4 release ?
The Nexus 4 made the OnePlus One launch look great LOL.
Nexus 4 was nowhere to be found anywhere until like late Jan / early Feb, when it was released in November. It was pretty much out of stock everywhere for 3 months. And when it did go back on sale, was literally sold out again in 30 seconds.
I would expect the Nexus 6P to be bad again. I bet Google underestimates the demand for this one, and expects most to go with the LG Nexus 5X.

I paid 759$ for my sprint n6 to use on att in mid Oct and it was hard to find now have the g4 and just got the moto x pure edition still have 2 n6s just in case I don't like the pure ed lol

Aww I just bought my nexus 10 2 weeks ago I was hoping it'd be "new" for at least a year lol but I probably wouldn't upgrade since I just got mine also I'd rather have Google team up with another company. It seems that samsungs support for the tablet is very poor.

I doubt it would get approved with a microSD slot. The Nexus line of things are known for not having those these days. I also hope it gets the T658 GPU, or even better a 2nd gen Midgard core. I doubt ill buy an upgrade to this tablet till it has at least those specs to make it worthwhile. The T658 has twice as many shader cores as we do, and twice as many arithmetic pipelines per shader core.
is it gonna be the same resolution as the Nexus 10? please colour calibrate the screen this time Samsung!
Even if it doesn't get released as a Nexus device, it wouldn't stop Samsung from releasing it as their own device.

Now, Samsung just needs to release 9 and 12 inch tablets so they can cover the spectrum. Nutters.

Like the guy above me said, hit and miss. Some turn out to be true some not, but even if Google were not to approve this tablet, it will come out as Samsung tablet just without the octacore maybe, but it's definitely coming.
I'm so glad I held back from getting the 10, I actually made three attempts to buy one of Google and each time it didn't go through. I'm in Ireland and was using a proxy!
I would like, as someone said, another company to do the next Nexus tablet. HTC would be my first choice then Asus but that probably won't happen.
Anyone think it will be released at Google I/O? I really want a tablet, can't wait much longer!
when is google I/O
Not a chance in the world this will be released at Google IO in a couple weeks.
There has already been talks of the Nexus Nexus 7, so we will see Google confirming final specs and a release date for that. We will probably also see details or a launch of the next Android version as normally happens during Google IO, we will hopefully get details on the next Nexus phone, and we will probably also hear more on Google Glass and probably Google Fiber.

If they are then I will be on the N10 for a while. I really hope Samsung DOESNT get the next Nexus. Their hardware is decent (not great) but they completely ignored this device just like they did the previous Nexus phones.
No dock, no cable using the pogo pins, the cover is overpriced and doesn't do much of anything, useless magnets, etc. It looks like so much could have been supported but Samsung didn't care.
LG showed how it should be done, they got the charger out, MHL, the bumper/case and even the logoless headphones (yeah I know that isnt huge but its more than Samsung has done). And the phone, I had the Galaxy Nexus and my Nexus 4 made that phone look and feel like a turd immediately. Considerably better design and a far more rigid chassis.
Not happening. ^^ Nexus devices are rather a solid proof of concept for Android than some experimental whatever. If this 11" thing appears, I think it will be released by Samsung (without Google Nexus label).
I'm kind of hoping that another company picks up the next Nexus 10 other than Samsung as well. I believe ASUS has done a great job with the Nexus 7 and the Transformer series, HTC could knock it out with front facing BoomSound type speakers on a tablet, or even HP which seems to be falling in love with Android, which shoukd have been the case two years ago. Plus new generation of processors are right around the corner that could make for a great device (Tegra 4, Snapdragon 800, Exynos-55something). Having just sold my Transformer Infinity, I'm excited to see what the next generation of devices will be.
Why us this news? Is it such a shock that the Samsung OctoFaux is getting used in a tablet? Is it such a shocker that Samsung is incorporating an SD card slot with dual cameras?
It gets old hearing the same old stuff rehashed or companies 'innovating' while really just using the newest components at a given time. Shock me Samsung, build an aluminum tablet, build a tablet that feels stronger then a thin piece of plastic which pops and creeks when I hold it or gives in the middle (note 10.1 and gtab2)..... that would be news
/end rant

same here, it truly is the best tablet out there but I just couldn't go for it after all the trouble people were having not even about the tablet but the service. And it won't be released, it could be revealed there, and if it is I would not expect it to be out until at least November.

The wireless charging dock for the Nexus 4 was only released ~6 months AFTER the release of the Nexus 4. That is not 'how it should be done'.
"How it should be done" is that there is a wide range of peripherals available day 1.

What's the next Android device you will purchase and why?

Just curious as to what the next Android device you want to get? Things keep advancing so fast, quad cores are coming to trend now and with Kit-Kat, there are a lot of possibilities. I'm considering switching from Sprint to AT&T, to get the LG G2! I'm so tired of Sprint and how crazy slow they are... I can get more, and significantly faster data with AT&T. The beizels on the G2 are a huge selling point for me, fitting a 5.2 inch screen into the same form factor as an HTC One is impressive. Not to mention the quad core 2.2 GHz processor on it... That's ridiculous, and I love my Nexus, but my god, that makes this look average... What about y'all?

I know what you mean! Things are progressing at such a ridiculous rate in the mobile world; its incredible. Especially Intel. They've made an absolutely shocking amount of progress in the past year. They've basically done what took ARM companies 3-4 years in 12 months. I'm really looking forward to Intel chips in our smartphones and tablets; we'll finally be able to crush Apple's in-house designs!
As for my next device, I'm definitely going to be getting the Nexus 5. A 5" device with a Snapdragon 800, OIS, Android 4.4 and other incredible hardware? Count me in! I sold my Galaxy Nexus a few weeks back, after the Nexus 4 price drop (I got a shockingly good price for it, too) in preparation for the N5. Now, I realize that SOME of the leaked specifications may not be totally accurate, but I am also hoping that we get the 5" display in the smaller-than-Nexus 4 frame. That would totally sell it for me.
I will probably will continue to use my galaxy nexus until it dies. It have been an excellent phone.
If it dies however I will buy the Nexus 5 midst likely.
I don't think i could use anything else other than a Nexus and be happy with it. Mainly because of the updates.

I only got the Nexus 10 this summer, so I'm good with my tablet for a long while I hope.

I actually gave this some more thought, and I do not think I will go Nexus on my next phone for one reason, I want to keep a microsd slot. I keep a ton of music and other files on my phone I simply don't need on my tablet, and it irritates me such a simple convenience is being phased out by so many new phones. Sigh... me, too. I've been wanting to come on this thread and pledge allegiance to the phone I hope the Nexus 5 will be. If it's a Snapdragon 800 / Adreno 330 / 1080p / 3000 mAh G2 with standard button placement and at least 2 Gb of RAM... running pure, unbloated, updated Android... then the Nexus 5 will be a stun-gun of a phone for 2013. (darn it... just drooled on my N10.)
But... we get all that and no removable memory? I know, that would mean space, weight, cost, whatever. But Samsung can do it on their flagships (with the added benefit of replaceable batteries). Seems like such a simple thing for winning freedom from needing access to a good WiFi signal.
If the N5 overcomes the N4's hardware limitations that now prevent the use of Nexus Media Importer -- and along with it the unrooted read/write use of USB card readers & memory sticks -- that'd go a long way. Let's just say I'm not holding my breath, since Google appears to have a different agenda.
For a brand that touts such an open OS, the box they put it in sure is closed.

OK... But you had to pay a lot more for that 32GB model I bet. My Droid RAZR M came with 8GB built in, and for only $20 I added another 32GB. I can even upgrade it to a 64GB microsd for less than $50. Good luck trying to get that kind of bargin upgrade on a non-microsd phone. Another added benefit... Let's say your phone meets an untimely death in the laundry machine, well at least with microsd your photos and music are perfectly safe.

I've got my eye on a couple of future devices.
I'm hoping with the SG Note 3, the LG G2 -- and hopefully the Nexus 5 -- already or soon to be running the Snapdragon 800, we'll start to see some cool 64-bit apps. When the 64-bit world takes hold, that could be a nice time to pick up a SG S5. Samsung should have multitasking to a new level by then, too.

Hope Snapdragon 800 has better battery management than Snapdragon 600 or else i wouldnt worth it to upgrade imho. The speed upgrade means nothing, only think that makes your phone faster is a well tuned rom/kernel. My ex Galaxy S3 with Cm10.2 and a custom kernel is the fastest thing i've ever used by a ridiculous mergin. Everything happens instanlty and its last gen,
Also my HTC ONE with the 4.3 official Rom is also like a new phone. So much faster and battery life is like 2x what it used to be.
SideNote for Lg G2. Will lg EVER make a decent looking phone? I am sorry but i dont care if Lg G2 is the best phone ever released, its so boring looking i would never consider buying.
Maybe Nexus 5, need to wait and see
I agree, the G2 looks kinda plain -- at least while viewing it on a 2D screen. Could be pretty comfortable in the hand, though, with those backside curves. I was a little surprised, papakaliati, to hear you say you're interested in the Nexus 5 after what you had to say about LG and specifically their G2. Most folks are thinking it will be LG manufacturing the Nexus 5 and that it'll look a lot like the G2.
Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 32GB model. Already have it on pre-order. I had always said that the perfect device would be the Note 10.1 with the Nexus 10 screen, and voila! Can't wait!
An 8 inch Android tablet, probably the LG G Pad 8.3 because it's the first one to have 1080p. Or the next Note 8.0.
The Nexus 10 is too big to play games, etc.
Also maybe the next Nexus 5.

I agree that there's no point in trying to go any faster than 'instantly' ...sounds like you had a sweet setup with your S3!
With Kit Kat supposedly supporting ARM-64 and with Qualcomm, Tegra & Exynos -- and AMD & Intel? -- all producing 64-bit mobile processors in 2014, some interesting 64-bit applications might not be far behind, as well as some significant energy demands, like you've pointed to. I bet power-management & battery-design teams are putting in all-nighters to bring us more innovations like big.LITTLE... and to overcome the downsides of lithium-sulfur technology, which could increase battery life by a factor of 4.
Yeah, I wasn't talking about new processors running 32-bit apps faster, though there will, of course, be some performance gains as we'll as some overhead hits. I was thinking about the new capabilities heading our way once applications cross over into 64-bit territory -- whenever that is -- and not just better encryption and data-bunkering.
We'll be looking at real-time audio and image editing, providing such things as on-the-fly video-effects management... and faster vector processing, which game devs will surely take advantage of, like Infinity Blade III has for Apple's new phone. I'm eager to see the impact of 64 bit on multimedia multitasking. General improvements in multitasking could get us to the 32-bit 4Gb RAM ceiling surprisingly soon.
After that, the 64-bit RAM upper limit of 16 Exbibytes -- 17.18B Gigabytes -- should hold us a while!

They already have pics of the nexus 5 and a 3d rendering. You should check them out. The phone is a. Little plain. They got rid of the glass back and went with that rubbery plastic which is better durability i guess but not as good looking. They also got a bigger screen then nexus 4 with a smaller frame. :sly:

So I'm kind of amazed there isn't a thread on this rumor yet. What better way to reenter the tablet market than with a nexus! For me, personally, this is a dream come true. I would take all these rumours with a pinch of salt and then add another sack of the stuff.Wasn't that long ago we were hearing various release date rumours and now we are hearing rumours of a new manufacturer.Basically Google haven't even found a supplier yet let alone a delivery date! Personally I don't think there will be a replacement hence why I bought the old nexus 10 after waiting and waiting and waiting and eventually giving up on RUMOURS of a new device coming soon.I do hope to be prooved wrong though.
I posted a comment about a future Nexus 10 when the current one ran out of stock in US. It was sometime ago, but I'd like to share how the next Nexus 10 should be for me .
(when asked what would the next Nexus 10 should have) For now I will keep my Nexus 10, it's still a beast device as I stated and I like to keep my high end devices for at least 2 years. But there are some things that could be upgraded ^^.
First - More storage. I bought the 32GB and I still think it's not enough. Probably a 64 or 128GB version would be amazing, as it's a media consumption device it requires storage, as not everyone can use cloud services, and a full HD movie is quite big.
Second - Add LTE option like they did with Nexus 7.
Third - Use Snapdragon 805 or Tegra K1 processor, they are true beasts, and tablets need to push more pixels, so a better graphics processor is important.
Fourth - If going with the Tegra K1, it would be an interesting (actually it's more of a dream of mine here, very hard for this to happen now) to have a 4K screen, current Nexus screen is already killer, a 4K would be a mass destruction device lol. While it's still a dream the 4K screen on it, they could make it LED at least, so the complaints of light bleeding would reduce drastically.
Fifth - Samsung, Asus, Sony or Motorola create it. Samsung sucks with software, but the software here would be Google, so it's no problem. Asus proved to be a great tablet developer with the last Nexus 7s. Sony has the most beautiful devices ever, and adding water resistance to a Nexus would be very cool. And Motorola developed Xoom, which is a great device and the godfather of Android tablets, would be great to see them developing a new one. (As rumors seems to be, this one won't be any true lol, but I have expectations that HTC can do a good job too).
Sixth - More RAM would be appreciated ^^'.
Seventh - More accessories at a better price would be of great use too.
And I think it's only that I can imagine for the next Nexus. There aren't main flaws on the current one now. Almost all the problems went away with the KitKat upgrade, and I'm happy with it .

I expect there will be a new Nexus 10 because it is out of inventory and has been for about a month.
If they were not restocking it or replacing it with a new one then why is it even listed on the play store site and why does it say check back soon?
When they no longer make or offer something it is removed from the site.
So it seems obvious that something will replace it.
IMO, the rumors of who will build it have no basis.
The sites who post thees articles get paid by the advertisers.
To get paid they need to draw people to the site.
They write one thing one day and something totally different the next, sometimes contradicting themselves.
Personally I heard Sony will build it at Dell and label it as a Samsung tablet and sell it in an HTC box and it will run Android 7.3 (nestle crunch).

Sold my S3 and now looking for an upgrade

Hi guys, I just sold my S3 LTE , as I cracked the screen and didn't want to repair it. I was looking for upgrade before that, so now the time has come.
I need a device that is a bit more rugged, not necessarily waterproof and so on... I read that the S4 is even more fragile though.
Anyway. I'd really love a high end device, so I don't have to upgrade it for the next 2 years.
I don't play games but do a lot of browsing, emailing and other work related stuff. I have good cameras so the camera on the phone just needs to be OK, but It should bebetter than the S3. I'm now using an iphone 5 and while it's a marelously well build and fast, I'm not quite sure I could deal with it's quirks. I've been on Android for almost 6 years, so you get what I mean.
I'm looking at :
LG G2 16GB
LG Nexus 5 16GB
Galaxy S4
Huaiwei Ascend P6
HTC ONE
Anything else you might recommend, except for Sony...

LG G2 - Very Good Choice
Nexus 5 - Awesome (but not the best camera)
S4 - Sucks
P6 - Friend has it, not bad, but battery life is terrible
HTC One - Awesome.
Also, look into the Xperia Z2, another good option for you.
Personally, i'd go with the new HTC one.

I really like the One too, but can you give some more details why would you choose it. And with the new model just around the corner - I'm no sure. I'm interested in the N5 too, bu tI'm put off by the small-ish battery
Friend of mine has the current One, played with it quite a bit. Its just everything i would want in a phone. Its really well made, fits very comfortably in your hand. I'm a fan of IPS LCD over AMOLED. Operations are much smoother and faster than Samsung. Blinkfeed is awesome (for me personally) and you have all the freedom of Android with a very good display incased in a very good body. Also i dont really need crap like airwave and air gesture, in fact, since 4.3 my smart stay barely works.
The One is just my personal choice, i think its the most balance between design, UI and performance. LG G2 isnt far behind. If you going to go with the One, u might as well wait for the new one. If you dont plan to get the new one, i'd probably go the G2 over the Old 1. The Snapdragon 800 will last u much longer than the 600 in the One (2013 edition) The G2 has IPS LCD as well and is very very fast. Only thing lacking is the aluminum body and blinkfeed. Also LG has a pretty good multi-tasking interface, it opens small windows of apps. I suggest you Check out YouTube for the G2.
Depending on how much you want to wait, you should definitely also consider the oppo find 7. This phone's a beauty in my eyes. Specs are great too.
Another interesting phone is the oneplus one with cm. Its going to be 5.5inch with the size of a 5 inch sony z1, qualcomm s800 and its supposed to cost less than 400$. Too bad that there arent any real pics yet and the release is going to be somewhere in Q2 of 2014. So, it can be 1 month or almost 3 :<
I would suggest you go for the All New HTC One or the Xperia Z2 ...both of the devices r going to hit the shelves with in weeks !!

I'm not buying a Sony, that's for sure. The htc one is another thing, but I'm afraid it will be quite expensive at launch, at least that's the way it is where I live. The way I see things is I have two options - get the G2 now or wait for the M8, hoping it won't be THAT expensive
Check out the oppo find 7! Big, cheap, blows everything away

Why does galaxy s4 sucks ? Although I do agree the design is same and somewhat boring especially when upgrading from s3 but its a practical design. For me, its best choice among the given choices, especially if you can get the qualcomm version, as its google play device so you have option to seamlessly put aosp roms. That negates the N5 advantage as it is..
For LG G2 and Nexus 5, you have limitation of fixed storage, do remember on 16GB devices you get only about 11GB of usable space. Also camera and battery on nexus 5 will be a downgrade for you coming from s3. HTC one although awesome design but has ultrapixel camera which didn't do very well and again a restricted memory.

Not an option. I'm getting a device from a local carrier, and they don't have oppo.

The only reason I'm not sure I want the S4 is that it's deemed even more fragile than the S3. It's slower chipset is also a bit of a disadvantage.
I can get the qualcomm version, so yes - vanilla OS is possible.
As for the G2 - it's awesome and I don't think storage will be that much of an issue. The HTC one is also an option, but the same as S4 - slower chiset and I hera the camera just sucks, but I have a DSLR and a mirrorless camera so I'm not going to expect much from a phone camera anyway. I'm using the iphone 5 now and while typing on it is a real pain, the size is really nice refresh fromthe huge slate the S3 was. I really miss the huge screen though.
The whole thing is quite complicated, as my wife has the RAZR I, but wants an Iphone, so I got one to test it out while waiting for my next android, and I actually like it a lot but the battery is basically on par with the S3, but the screen.... it's so small. It's superior when it comes to actally using it as a phone.
Which one of these handsets is most durable when dropped? I think the g2 would have a bad time due to edge to edge design.

iphone 5s for durability.
For me:
1-Note 3
2-Sony Z2
3-Iphone 5s
4-S4
This year I am leaving my S3 also and this is the list of devices I am targeting of buying from !!
I will get one of these bad boys --->
1. Note 3 (appealing in every aspect)
2. HTC ONE 2014 (has microSD card support)
3. Xperia Z2 (Sony really stepping up their game)
4. iPhone 6 (a really good phone for basic telephony)

I recommend nexus & S4 from the point of view of a good battery and high specs and features, Also the nexus 5 has good feature which is wireless charging, The S4 has higher features than the nexus as usual samsung strikes with stunning technology.

I am getting a new phone in two months. Got an S3 now. This is my top choices :
1. Note 3
2. Xperia Z2
3 HTC one (2014)

i know a few people with S4's, both versions. They both completely suck. In all honesty, the design isnt that bad, it looks very similar to the s3 but the feeling is alot better. However, Samsungs OS skin just down right fails. The ui is laggy, and please dont say theres no lag. i dont know how people dont notice this crap. The UI lags. Maybe the galaxy s4 google play edition, is a viable option.
There is literally nothing that the S4 has over its competitors. If you compare it to the HTC one (2013), then really, the One beats it hands down. You really dont need crap like the air wave.
SGH-m819n galaxy mega running the megafire v5 rom. Ive had two people literally sell their note3 after seeing how big and fast my phone is. 60 dollar truly unlimited unthrottled LTE data on tmobiles network though metro is a pretty nice perk, too.

Nexus 6 - Google worst phone is still a really good phone

I think we can all agree that with the build quality issues, backs bubbling, yellow/pink screens, this will probably go down as the worst phone that google has made. It also was not well received for its size.
Keeping all that in mind... the Nexus 6 (moto) is still a great phone. It's fast, good battery life, no heavy flaws other than those have as preferences in their devices (no stylus, ect). It's versatile, not hard to tear down and replace things in,, dual front speakers and with a few software tweaks battery life goes from good to great, screen colors get better and with a ROM all the features people want can be added. It was also cheaper than every other flagship except the G3 when it came out.
I know there are peopel out there have have reason that maybe teh device they got in hand had some issues. but I personally have gone though 5 Nexus 6 and i never regretted it, i just stupidly sold it to buy another phone I wanted but never found to be quite as good.
1. 32GB MB - Purchased through Moto, RMA'd for uneven screen color.
2. Sold to buy a 64GB CW
3. Sold to buy a Moto X 2014 and Nexus 7
4. 64GB CW - bought after selling Moto X and 7in tablet
Sold that X to get a Galaxy S6
5. Sold S6 to buy 32GB MB
6. 32GB CW, the 32GB MB now sits in my drawer.
Yes I have an addition.
After going though all these phones I have found only 2 things that I wish were different in the Nexus 6.
1. I wish it had a Moto Maker like system. Picking a different back color for it would have been really nice. Even if just limited to the 4 Nexus colors plus Black and White. I'd likely buy Red.
2. I wish the camera was better. If they released the EXACT same Nexus 6 next year, but with the camera abilities of the S6 I'd still buy a new one.

Google doesn't make phones. Blame Motorola for all of your concerns.
I've had a MB 32gb nexus 6, no defects at all. Returned it for the 64gb Moby **** and still no defects. My only complaint is the non removable battery and the very warm color of the screen which can easily be tweaked. As far as replacing back covers, look up Dbrand nexus 6 on Google. They make lots of nice backs for the nexus 6. Wish they at least had a 4000 mah battery for this powerhouse but whatever.
I can't speak for everyone since each phone runs differently. But this phone for a nexus and just android device is rock solid. Hated the nexus 4 and 5 with passion. Loved the HTC nexus and galaxy nexus despite its poopy screen. But everyone has different love and opinions .
