How to disable Control Center access from the Lock screen on android - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I have trouble with control center. I have installed "Where's My droid" premium and "Smart lockscreen protector" apps. It's all great, but now there is another problem. When you lock your screen, you can still swipe down control center with all those (Wi-fi, Brightness, Auto rotate, bluetooth, Mobile data) options. So basicly, it means that phone thief can easily turn off Mobile data and I woun't find my phone. Meybe there is some solutions how to turn it off or something?

If you set a secure lockscreen, this should not be an issue.

I didn't quir understand you.. How can i set secure lockscreen?

Set the lockscreen with either a passcode, pattern lock, PIN code, face unlock, etc. Most phones have the settings in the Settings app under its own Lockscreen section or in the Security section.

I understand that, but thats not the case.. I have already lock screen with password. Thief cant get to my phone unless he enters right passcode to unlock phone/screen. I'm talking about the command central. Anyone can swipe down the screen from above and turn off the mobile data, wifi, etc. I have checked all lock screen options, but haven't figured ir out. For example here is article about iOs, but no androids. I can't post link, but you can type in google "how to turn off command center on lockscreen" and open 3rd website.

Sorry, should have tested that before I suggested. I could have sworn it used to be that way, but never use passwords so not entirely sure. Only thing I can think of to resolve would be a 3rd party lockscreen that has that option.

Is this issue was not resolved since 2015? I have exact same problem. I have face ID and fingerprint access controll, but still can swipe down with lock on and disable wifi, bluetooth and data. I Noticed this problem on MIUI 11, but still is a thing on MIUI 12 on Xiaomi Mi 9 SE

[Q] MiLocker with pattern lock possible?

Hello, all!
I recently installed MiLocker with a nice five-way app ring, and have it tweaked to use Dolphin HD instead of the standard browser, etc. Looks great, works great! I have noticed, however, that it disables the standard Android security lock (i.e., pattern, PIN or password). At first, I thought there was something in my Tasker profile or the CyanogenMod settings causing this, but I've ruled that out. It appears that MiLocker not only replaces the Android slide lock, but also the security lock.
Does anyone know if it is possible to use MiLocker in conjunction with the Android security lock? In other words, I would like the MiLocker screen to be displayed when the phone wakes up, I select the app from the five-way ring, and then my usual pattern lock comes up. As it is now, using MiLocker disables access security on the phone, which I don't like.
This is on an HTC Desire Z running CM7.
Anyone? It appears that MiLocker simply prevents the phone from locking at all, since none of the CM settings related to display and security lock are honoured (like lock delay).

[Q] Automatically switch between pattern and slide to unlock?

Hi all,
Does anyone know if there is a way to automatically switch between pattern and slide to unlock based on location? I know there are automation apps out there, such as tasker and setting profiles. I tried the LITE version of setting profiles and it does have an option to disable the lock screen completely, but not to switch between pattern and slide lock screens. I'd like to have a slide to unlock while at home, but have it change to a more secure pattern unlock when I leave home.
My guess is that this would be difficult because whenever you manually change between slide to unlock and pattern it asks you for your pattern, i.e. it doesn't seem to store your pattern if you ever disable it. I haven't tried tasker because it doesn't have a free demo version, but I would assume that if tasker (or another automation app) does have this ability, it would have to somehow store your pattern so that it can re-implement it, making it possibly insecure?
I'm not sure if there is a custom ROM that will do this. I'm currently running 4.0.4 plain vanilla rooted and unlocked on Verizon LTE Gnex.
Thanks!
In case anyone else was wondering about this, I found a way to do this:
You can make this work using tasker (paid app) in combination with an app called secure settings in the market (free). you need busybox installed, it will check. works perfectly, i have tasker automatically switch pattern lock off when i'm at home (based on cell towers) and automatically turn it back on when i leave home!
nice
I see that this thread has been dead for a little while, but I found it through a Google search since I'm looking for a non-root alternative to Secure Settings on my new, non-rooted phone. I'm currently using Llama, which is a free, location-aware automation app in place of Tasker until I root my new phone. Llama works with Secure Settings, but I can't try the pattern unlock switch since it requires root.
I can confirm that Tasker will switch from pattern unlock to swipe unlock automatically with Secure Settings. I set pattern lock as the default, and had Tasker switch to the swipe unlock if I was connected to any Wi-Fi network, but you could specify which network if you wanted to. In this case, Llama might work better if ask you want to do is automate based on location. Llama has triggers other than location, but it's primary focus is location based triggers.
Just an addendum to this, but when you disable pattern lock, the phone will revert to whatever the last lock method was. If it was "None" the phone will turn straight onto the homescreen. If it was "Slide" you'll see the side to unlock keyguard.
If you want to change this, go into Settings > Security > Screen lock > Slide then repeat but choose Settings > Security > Screen lock > Pattern. This effectively sets the 2 lock types the phone will toggle between.

use shortcuts with Pattern Unlock lock screen?

is it possible to have shortcuts with the Pattern unlock lock screen?
I would like to have shortcurts to the Camera and Dialer while still have security provided with a Pattern unlock.
Is this possible with a completely stock (no rooting no anything) S III on Verizon?
Or do I need to install one of those lock screen apps? I'd prefer to remain completely stock for now if possible..

If you had shortcuts of any kind, that would kill the security.........
I wish Google would implement their Touch Gesture Actions From A Device’s Lock Screen idea asap... providing shortcut functionality without sacrificing security would be better than those 3rd party lock screens.

Not sure about defining shortcuts. but i used pattern lock and if I hold finger on screen, rotate to landscape, then swipe pattern, it launches camera.
if i have a missed call or text there is a circle on the lock screen with the qty and if i swipe off that circle then enter pattern it takes me right to that app (missed calls or messaging).

I don't care about security for the camera or dialer.
I know there is the camera motion shortcut thing but I like the clickable widget better. I want to have the capability to define widgets on the lock screen like you can when you don't have any security. But I want it with the pattern unlock. I guess this is not available out of the box? And needs a special app?

I would like the same thing... you can get it on the standard swipe to unlock so why not the pattern lock... I have tried various lockscreens but their not without their flaw...
Widget locker.. has lots of customisation and you can add custom sliders and widgets but... its buggy prone to crashing and takes a fair bit of tweaking to be secure (ie if you dont select correct setting you can unlock with just the home key) , sometimes have to unlock twice and it always request superuser access even when the phone is in standy ... so drains battery more than it should.
Go Locker - didnt like this at all just didnt seem secure... first version could be bypassed easily... plent of themes though if security is not a priority.

[Q] Any way to access camera from lockscreen with PIN lock?

I have a Nexus 4, unrooted, stock, running Android 4.4.3. Is there any way to access the camera app from the lock-screen when using a PIN to lock the phone?
This is my personal phone, but my employer requires a PIN lock (with a very short timeout) in order to access my work exchange server. It is annoying to have to enter the pin each time I want to take a photo. Once the PIN lock has been enabled there is no way to access the camera or any widgets from the lock screen. All of the applicable settings are greyed out in the security settings menu.
I have done enough searches to know that this is not possible without rooting, but I am not clear on whether or not it is possible if I root the phone. If so, what is the easiest path to add a working camera icon to the lock screen?
When my phone updated to 4.4.3, for a few days there was a camera icon on the lock screen but it did not work. No amount of swiping, dragging, or tapping could get it to work. Then after a few days the camera icon just disappeared.
Thank for you help!

Smart Lock woes

I have a pattern screen lock set up on my device. I also have enabled my car Bluetooth as a trusted device for Smart Lock.
It obviously recognises I am in the car as when I turn on my device I get the swipe to unlock screen but this then takes me to the pattern lock screen. I thought the point of Smart Lock was that it disabled the security for those trusted devices?
Am I doing something wrong or is there a hidden setting I am missing?

I think you should keep the bluetooth on
The Bluetooth is on, which is why I get the swipe screen but it doesn't disable the pattern lock.

For security reasons, when Smart Lock is enabled, after any connection to the trusted device the first unlock has to be using the predefined unlock of the phone, and after that the Smart Lock will work as expected until the connection is lost, and then again the same procedure. if the connection is lost
