How to turn off vibration? - Xperia Z4 Tablet Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there a setting where we can turn off vibration altogether?
Currently the 2 options I have for notifications is either sound (which comes with vibration), or no sound with vibration only.
It'd be good if there was an option to have only sound and no vibration.
Thanks in advance~

Sound On or Off, no silent/vibrate/on

We my Arc on 2.2 the status switch for sound had the option for Sound on / Vibrate / Silent
Now there is only an on/off and you have to go to Settings > Sounds and change the vibrate option to either be always/never/sound on/sound off.
There is a combination that allows the Sound off but vibrate on but as soon as want Silent you have to go back through the Settings and change the vibrate to never or sound on and then tick the box for silent.
This is different than 2.2 option which had an On/Vibrate/silent option on the status switch, correct?
Looking for clarification in case I am missing something...
Cheers

Random yet possibly stupid question

This maybe software opposed to hardware...
Just got my new titan sorted out last night and firstly - really happy with it! build is lovely, UI - love it, overall really nice feel to use.
However, the volume control - volume is ok, and vibrate is fine but is there a 'silent' with no vibrate mode? i cannot find it?
You can only have a "Silent no vibrate" setting if you turn off Vibration on the sound settings...the only down side is this turns off vibration in all situations so you have to manually toggle it in settings as you wish.
You've stumbled across what I believe is the most bone-headed problem with this OS: you have to choose between silent and vibrate in settings.
In other words, I think you should be able to tap the icon to switch between:
Ring > Ring with Vibrate > Vibrate > Silent
but no! There is a vibrate toggle under Settings > Ringtones and Sound. If you have it turned on, your ringer options are:
Ring with Vibrate > Vibrate
If you have it turned off, your ringer options are:
Ring > Silent
SO, if you're like me and pretty much just want to use Vibrate or Silent, you're stuck going into Settings EVERY TIME. Even more infuriating, if you're actually on the "Ringtones and Sound" page and pull down the ringer option with your volume rocker and hit the ringer icon, you can see that your choice toggles the "ringer" switch on the page - so clearly it wouldn't have been too much harder to have the "vibrate" toggled "remotely" as well.
I love this OS, but this single flaw drives me bananas.

Why not just turn the volume rocker to 0 for silent? Then you don't have to go to settings... or do you want other things to make sound?
MS has made weird choices for WP7. (Have they ever used a phone ?)
I suggest you to vote for this missing (basic) feature here :

Have you also noticed you can't choose the volume level of the Alarm ?
Many "features" like this in WP7..

If you use the volume rocker to go to "0" and you have vibrate turned "off" in settings, then the ringer will turn to "silent" mode. If you use the rocker to go back above "0," then the ringer will turn to "ring" mode.
If you use the volume rocker to go to "0" and you have vibrate turned "on" in settings, then the ringer will turn to "vibrate" mode. If you use the rocker to go back above "0," then the ringer will turn to "ring+vibrate" mode.
There are four modes, but only two available at any given time based on whether you have "vibrate" enabled in settings.

Double-checked and it looks like I gave this three votes back in October.

Whenever i get notifications it vibrates the phones. I have checked all the settings but could not disable it .
I have also used this app

I've unchecked vibrate on ringtone but can't disable vibrating on notifications.
Its drains lot cellphone battery.
Is there a away to completely disable vibration in android ??
(I also know the fact that notification vibration is app dependent.
But thing is some apps don't have any vibration/feedback settings. )
please help. anyone. sorry for noob question.

[Q] Vibration to loud and strong

Im having some problems with the vibration of incomming calls. Its to strong for vibration. And you can hear it. I looked in the settings if there is an intensity slider. But there is none. There is an intensity slider for the keyboard. So I figured out that it is possible to set the intensity. Not in the original settings I guess. So I add an app called vybe where you van choose your vibration length. But if the phone is in vibraton mode it plays the first vibration from the phone, and then it will play the vybe one. Sollution was to set viber on silent mode. That way I dont get the annoying very hard vibration from the phone. But I lost the Silent mode. Is there any way to adjust the vibration in an other way. Thanks in advance.

Disable notification vibration

Hi,
How can I disable vibration totally with the sounds on?
It is off when it is mute, but when the sound is on, the vibration is also on.
The vibration while ringing is off, but it doesn't effect on application's notifications.
