I managed to get around it using fastboot/adb and cmd, that way you can flash TWRP and root it, and from there you can flash new ROMS, kernels, what have you

same as you i had to use the manual way but its extrange because this kit detect my mobile in fastboot mode but no with the phone on so i used the cmd and flashed twrp with the code fastboot flash recovery twrp.xxxx.img (reboot manualy in the recovery the first time because if you use the advanced menu in oxygenOS it will reboot in the stock recovery) and later i flashed the superSU zip, the only thing that i dont try yet is to flash xposed zips

I found that the Toolbox on Oneplus site works well for what we need.

By the way, how works the option "write super cid"?
Sent from my HTC One X+ using xda app-developers app
I get device not found, firewall is disabled. adb drivers are installed.
Supercid will only work on S-Off devices if i remember correctly.
Nice little tool though! I'm sure it will come in handy for a lot of people here on xda

No, writing SuperCID won't have any affect to your phone's internal storage, system/data partition, or any other part of your phone other than the CID. Also, I'd like to know how you achieved S-OFF since there is no known way of attaining for HOX+ as of yet.

Thoughts / Tips?
Edit: Got it to work but now it gets stuck in Token
Windows can't Recognize the Device
Not exactly sure what the point of this gui interface is if you have to type in everything but the command. Actually more confusing to try and use this app than just running a command prompt. Example to push pull a file with this this app you need to still know the directory of everything on your phone, which most people won't know how to do. This app wants you to type in /sdcard/download/Filename.file to to pull a file from your phone. the only thing missing is adb pull.
You are really better off learning the actual commands or googling them and just install the sdk. Not only that, but the unlock/s-off features are already in other threads. The two links below are probably more than 90% of people are going to ever need.

Which S-OFF method does this use and why isn't there any credit for it in the OP?
Just got a DNA and now looking to s-off and all. interesting new layout for the download links and all, i usually use the xda classic. I saw a download link for 1.2 but didn't see a change log, which do you suggest to use? i see a big difference in file size, about 22mb on the new one.
Thanks
Is this using RevOne or Moonshine as you don't explain which software version this works for and many people are flooding the forums since they took advantage of the free upgrade from Vzw when they introduced the HTC One.
perfect work, thank you...
So is this confirmed to work? I'm still a little adamant about unlocking / rooting.

This looks like the easiest method yet! Is this root method compatible with decrypting? Ik some people have been reporting that with certain root methods they lose root after decrypting and re rooting makes them re encrypt.

I would also be interested in knowing this. I just decrypted and then rooted with Wugs NRT and it re-encrypted my device.
Looks like a nice way to root. I just had my Nexus 6 delivered a few hours ago. Sometime during this upcoming holiday weekend I will be unlocking the bootloader and rooting my new device. I might have to try out rootME. I'd like to hear some feedback from people that have used this method to gain root.

If you decrypt then use fastboot to install twrp and flash SuperSU by chainfire you will stay unencrypted use the newest beta by chainfire.... Most of the root toolkits replace the kernel and it's back to encrypted that way

Possibly because most longterm nexus fans will root via ADB terminal on their PC and do it manually, also people still dont have devices yet.

root the device the right way, it takes about 4-5 minutes.
1. use fastboot while your in your bootloader and type.. fastboot oem unlock. this will unlock your bootloader.
2. fastboot flash a custom recovery.
3. flash the latest supersu in your new recovery.
4. reboot with root.
that's it, the right way.

Please test and let us know if there are any issues. Should work with all three devices. I currently have a2001 64gb.
Current version of TWRP will flash OTA's. I have tested this.
if anybody wants to become a device maintainer let us know. You need required skills to build TWRP from source.

Is Device Encryption supportet in this build?
I haven't tested that yet, not something I would normally use.
works on A2003 64gb! thanks!
There's an issue with the device name of recovery. Currently it's "oneplus2" which prohibits OTAs from being installed because it requires device name to be "OnePlus2". (Case sensitive)

You need to be familiar with building twrp from source. Meaning, you're grabbing the device tree from github and merging it with the twrp sources.
@Stephen: As soon as I get a new PC (should be somewhere around next month, maybe November), I could help out once I got my build environment set up.

Not in the TWRP app, it needs to be updated first I guess. But you can download and flash it using Flashify.
I was just about to ask about encryption support. Looks like only way to update is with an otg cable but my USB c adapter hasn't come yet.
I have this TWRP 2.8.7.0 version, installed on my OP2 64GB A2001 since about a month ago.
So? What is actually new here? Should I install the "new" version over the same
version, that is already installed on my device?
Hi! For some reason i can't get TWRP to stick
i can boot into using fastboot boot twrp.img but using fast boot flash recovery twrp.img doesn't stick ....original recovery always come back.

Nice info, also update the pre requisite. If sdk or adb shell is required?I see, its mentioned in the original thread, you can update the same here.
@WindyCityRockr seems like a very important handy tool, thanks for this.
Wanted to know that I'm on CM12.1 and afaik there isn't a way to unlock the bootloader. Can this pretty toolkit of yours still unlock it?
Good work!
Also Add an option to backup the EFS Partition (which has imei) and store it on PC (preferably in encrypted format). Then again an option to restore it .

This is the problem.
Obviously I unlocked it and flashed twrp and then installed cm12.1.
After installing cm12.1 it shows that the bl is locked.
And afaik there's no way to unlock it because there's no option in cm's dev options.

Since you still have TWRP backup CM flash any Oxygen OS version and enable the OEM unlock option and unlock your bootloader again
I used windroid to unlock the bootloader before you supported OPX^^ Nice to see it here now!! thanks!
