My $350 device is incompatible but $60 is compatible for this game :-/ pls help - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys, been really trying to get this one:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...itans&pcampaignid=APPU_1_wzQBVrjdEMGqUY-RsMAJ
My Huawei Ascend Mate 7 it shows is incompatible but a random Obi phone I bought as a back up http://m.gadgets.ndtv.com/obi-python-s452-1846 appears to be compatible.
This is super weird, I've tried side loading with apk and obb, but when I run, I get error authentication process has failed, please check internet connection. :-/
Would really appreciate the help, its a great game BTW, played on iOS, been waiting for it for a while.
Thanks!

Bump

Most likely it has to do with the in house Kirin chipset that Huawei has in the phone. No one else but Huawei uses it so some games might not bother supporting it. The Obi uses a Mediatek processor, which can be found in 100s (1000s) of other models.

[Q] Gigabyte GSmart Maya and Gsmart Rio - any experience and reviews?

It seems that our phone market here (in Croatia) has recently been updated with some brands i haven't seen before - Gigabyte and Prestigio. I know them as tablet and/or computer peripherals manufacturers, but i haven't really known that they also made phones.
My friend bought a Prestigio phone a few months ago and he is satisfied with it, although i can't get any detailed infos from him since he only uses it for calls and angry birds when he's on the toilet
Today i noticed two Gigabyte phones that are both packed with features and seem to be a good bargain, considering price and what is stated as phones' specs. Here are the two ones i noticed:
http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=5400&idPhone2=5401
I'm wondering has anyone had any experience with these phones? For the price, (a little more than €200 - a really good price for that kind of phone here) they almost seem too good to be true. I was also wondering what's the real difference between the processors? Both of them have 1gHz dual core, but the Rio model (cheaper and weaker) has Qualcomm MSM8225 Snapdragon, and the more expensive Maya model has MTK 6577. I have heard of Snapdragon before, and i think it should be a good processor, but i have no information on the latter one.
Oh, and maybe it's good to note that the cheaper, Rio model comes with android 4.0, with no possibility of upgrade, and Maya comes with 4.1
Anyways, what should I expect of these phones? Should I consider buying any of them at all? Did anyone try to root them and put any custom rom on them?
also, this model popped into my eyes... also a gigabyte phone:
http://www.gsmarena.com/gigabyte_gsmart_gs202-5174.php
I bought RIO R1 yesterday so its quite new for me, but as I used many android phones I can compare it quite well.
I can compare it to htc desire, wildfire s, sensation and many others
so the biggest problem is battery drain, but Im used to charge battery often so its not so big deal for me.
problem is with headphones, only the ones packed with phone works ok, but I will try more of them (htc headphones start music application and radio is only mono)
phone is little bit laggy but Im trying to get rid of apps I dont want.
root was easy done in 5 minutes and the most of the time was used for searching for right drivers and software.
I found CWM but its for A30 and phone does not show anything in recovery mode. I tried [email protected] but got nothing. I will try to search and play with it.
both sim cards work great (only one sim can be used for hi-speed internet, second one is only on edge), you can choose the time to choose from which card will you call or use predefined.
you can set own ringtone for every sim card and if you get sms or call you can see on which sim card.
I installed all apps from my htc desire and its much faster but I have problem with my favourite launcher - action launcher. I will try nova launcher as I have paid version.
Im waiting for 4.1 or higher or maybe I will also try to compile it for tests.

Problems with Terra Battle

So I picked up a refurb version of the Dell Venue 7840, it's a super nice tablet, great screen etc. etc., figured it could be a replacement for my 2013 Nexus 7. However I am having an issue with a game I play called Terra Battle, I've not been able to get the game to function on the Dell tablet at all, it just opens and says "Unfortunately Terra Battle has stopped" and closes. I emailed the company and they said it was probably due to a lack of memory being available, I cleared out as much as I could but I still can't get it to start. Has anyone else had this issue with this game/tablet? I'm just wondering if it is hardware related or something else I can't pinpoint.
Terra runs fine on every other device I know besides this one.
Any info would be appreciated.
I've had the exact same issue with Star Wars Galactic Defense. Now having a similar issue with Injustice Gods Among Us after the 5.1 update.
I'm beginning to wonder if it is a memory issue, I was looking at the memory use etc on my 2013 Nexus 7 and compared to the Venue it is barely using anything. The Venue seems to be using at least 1GB for "System" which I'm not sure why it would use so much compared to the Nexus as they are both 5.1
Any idea on rooting/installing stock Android on the Venue anyone? I have read some things saying it is possible but I don't want to brick a tablet without some solid proof.

[HELP] Feeding Frenzy 2 PC Port to Android

Hi everyone! So I've finally decided to do a hands-on to port simple PC games to Android. Feeding Frenzy 2 for an example, after playing it for 6 years, I want a port of it to Android. I found some decent ports of games to Android, and some are really even good ones, like a GB game. But this one is less than 20 MB, lol. It runs on Windows. No problem on graphics, doesn't even take 1 GB of RAM, and also engine should have no problem, it runs smooth on a 10-year old laptop, with only 2GB Ram. The only change it will be is the key mapping and adding touchscreen events.
So, what could I actually do or you can do to help me? I'd love to have this game on my Android device, and that's all. If you can do it successfully. Thanks! Looking forward to replies!
Follow up please, would like someone to help me port or port for me. I'll pay $2-3
Anyone please?

BLU Advance A4 Rooting and Custom ROMs

Hi friends, I've got a phone model for the cheapest I could possibly find that was New. Bought it on a whim for $30 on amazon (at the time) not giving too much thought to what value it had hardware-wise as I wasn't planning on using it as a daily driver, instead wanted to just see what the possibilities of it were as a little practice for android rooting and installing custom roms as I'm really not too experienced in the android field, but I wanted to learn.
Apparently I chose the wrong phone to learn on, since this thing has next to ZERO content on these forums or anywhere else on the internet in any capacity as far as reviews, custom development, forum threads, even customer questions.
The main drawback being that trying to look up anything for this phone will give you results for a different BLU model, the BLU Advance 4.0, since they have such similar names. Since I have this BLU Advance A4 here now, I have scoured the internet trying to find anything specifically for this model phone and found nothing, which is frankly surprising given that this was at one point the cheapest and still is one of the cheapest new android phones on amazon so you would think that people would use something like this to learn on without much care for bricking it.
So I'm here to make a thread for this model and for anybody else who has this model who is wondering the same as me. What, if anything, can I do with something like this? Why is there not more discussion about this model? I know there have to be enthusiasts trying to to a lot with little hardware, and a phone like this would be a prime example of a phone begging to have a lightweight rom thrown on it for learning and kicks. I will continue to try and do what I can with it while I wait for responses to this thread, please anybody who has any feedback besides "buy a different phone", give me something. I already to have a phone but I'd like to learn android hacking/customization on a different android phone before risking turning my main driver into a brick and I believe playing around with a cheap throwaway phone to see what it can do will be fun.

Excellent plan! Luckily, I found your post before I bought 1 of these phones - so I thank you for this!
Worth noting, I came here hoping to buy this cheap phone as a dedicated music player (running, house audio driver, etc) but am also disappointed (but not really surprised) that there doesn't seem to be any prior effort at rooting or working on custom ROMs.
Edit: Have you tried this, or looking for google hits on hardreset.info, androidmtk.com, and cyanogenmod-roms.apk.cafe (I can't post directly links yet, sorry)? While not much, I did find a few other sites too listing firmware, if you already have the phone it's worth tinkering with it and see if you can get anyway. Good luck, and do report back if you do try!
ando en busqueda es la rom para este smartphone, podrias subirla??
